Stopped here on the way through the state. We decided to take the scenic route(Hwy 30) and stay off the interstate. We ordered a Maid Rite sandwitch and a BBQ. One came with fries and the other with potatoe salad. Both were good. We are always searching for a good pie place so we ordered a slice of pecan and a slice of peach. The pecan was very good and the peach pie was one of the best we have ever had. When driving along Hwy 30, take the exit and stop for a quick bite to eat. The service is quick and helpful.

They over charge you and you will leave hungry. The food has absolutely no flavor. The food is from the frozen section of the grocery store. They clearly do not believe in seasoning their food. Not only is the food bad… so is the service. The wait staff is clueless. You have to remind them to give you all of your order. I will never eat her again!

Don’t waste your time here, not even your spare change. Tonight I came here with my family, 3 generations from Tama, myself who flew out from California. I remember going to this place as a kid, and it was so good… Not now! There was practically no meat on my moms maid-rite, meat was cold, and the buns were dry. We said something to the owner, and there was no response. Other than«that’s weird». Well no kidding. It is weird. And you couldn’t apologize, or at least take off 5%? Sorry about your loss. We aren’t coming back to your filthy dive.
