Clean rooms and friendly staff. If you’re staying in a king suite, forget about showering. No cold water, only hot. I wasn’t given a warning during check in and ended up scalded. When I called the front desk, it was a known issue for a long time. Pros: Clean rooms Friendly staff Breakfast Cons: No outlets No cold water

Horrible. Security door broken and open. Told they are working on it. Stairs dirty. Hallway to room disgusting with acrid oily smell and huge stains. Parking lot dark. Don’t ever stay here.

stayed here while visiting friends in toledo. the room was pretty clean over all. the desk clerk didn’t seem like she liked her job very much and was not very pleasant. she seemed more concerned with finishing her private phone call. they advertised 66 dollars on line, but charged me 84 when i got there(a litle pricey for what I got) ! so aparently if you book on line it magicaly makes the value drop. not being one for shenanigans i will look a litle more the next time i visit toledo OH.

Hubby’s company brought him to town for training and booked a King non-smoking room for him, and I decided to tag along. Because it was business, I spent most of our 3-day, 2-night stay in the hotel. It was a very nice place overall. Pros: I’m a stickler for cleanliness. MUCH can be forgiven in a hotel for me if the place is clean. As soon as I walked in the room I inspected it and it passed with flying colors. Clean sheets, bedspread, pillows, smelled fresh. Checked every layer of bedding, including checking for any stains, bed bugs and the like. Passed with flying colors. The rest of the room– carpets, curtains, bathroom, etc was also all clean. The room itself was nice– what I would consider a typical hotel room, although I imagine the place was renovated within the past few years at least as it has a nice modern feel and not«OMG, I walked into the 80’s» look that most places of this class have. But, like I said, it’s a regular old room. Clean and comfy beds, that’s all I really need. Our room also had a mini fridge and microwave(not standard in all rooms apparently so you’ve been warned). A/C worked very well(it was warm when we got in the room but it cooled things down very quickly), albeit a bit noisy when starting up, but livable. The free breakfast was nice– just your standard fair you typically find. Although they had fresh made biscuits and gravy(which my hubby said was tasty) and a make-your-own waffle station which was unique to other hotel breakfasts I’m used to. Staff was very nice. When we were checking in, someone was having issues with connecting to wifi with his smartphone and while it was clear the front desk girl had no idea what else to suggest, she was doing her best to help him which was nice. I had no issues with the free wifi while there– for my laptop or phone. It had a nice strong signal the whole time. While we were staying, the city was having issues with the water and had sent a notice out that the tap water wasn’t safe to consume and the hotel left a notice about it in our bathroom. Because of that, they provided complimentary bottled water our whole stay and the ice machine was filled with bagged ice so no one got sick. A very nice gesture looking out for their guests– small, but it makes a difference to your stay. Pro/Con: Depending on who you are these could be pros or cons. No pool(though there was a nice little patio area if you wanted to sit/eat outside). There was a pretty nice flatscreen tv– however they don’t have HD cable. Not so big a deal for just watching tv, but if you’re a gamer the smallerish screen and no HD is a pain for playing any longer than an hour or so at a time. But most travelers, I assume that wouldn’t be a problem as they wouldn’t be staying in the room all day as I did. The bathtub/shower. It wasn’t dirty, but it was certainly old and had black stains on the bottom(it wasn’t lack of cleaning as I tried to scrub at it myself to see if they forgot– remember, clean freak– and it wouldn’t come up). Just a bit of a turnoff. Need to replace stuff when it gets like that. Speaking of replacing, they need to replace the tile in the breakfast area. There’s nothing really wrong with them persay, but the design on them makes the floor LOOK like it’s dirty and full of chips and breaks– had to look closer to see if that was the case, and it wasn’t any of those things. Just a weird ascetic that should be changed to avoid the eyesore. Cons: OUTLETS! It was the only real issue I had the whole time. I had NO outlets… There was ONE outlet literally behind the bed to have the lamps and alarm clock on either side of the bed. And the plug behind the dresser had the microwave and fridge. So, where was there a plug for charging phones, laptops? Across the room. *bangs head off desk* So, I had to unplug the microwave and constantly change out laptop, phone, Xbox, and microwave on one plug so I could have my electronics close while charging. They don’t think that people are gonna have cell phones? Should have a plug on either side of the bed. If you can’t, then have more than ONE extension cord(which was on my hubby’s side so he got to be able to plug his cell in). Annoying? Yes. Overall, this was a very nice place. Clean, which like I said is my biggest thing. Quiet, friendly staff. All and all, I would stay here again if there was ever a reason I came back to Toledo.

I was unaware that Webster’s had changed the definition of «quality» to include«dirty, smelly, dangerous, and ghetto»… I unfortunately had no choice but to book a smoking room(gross) because that’s all they had left. Ok, it’s a smoking room, so smelling a bit like smoke is understandable. But does that mean that the cleaning crew need make ZERO effort to reduce the smell? Ever hear of air fresheners? Fabreeze? No? hmmm… I was friggin choking on the overpowering odor. I also don’t think that this being a smoking room give them an excuse to use disgusting bedding. I’m serious. Giant burn holes in the comforter. Peel back a layer, and there’s big burn holes in the underlying blanket, too. The sheets felt grimy. Not sure how else I can describe it, but they felt kind of sticky and just gross. The best part? The giant brawl happening outside my room at 3am. Screaming. Fighting. Loud as all hell. Oh, and did I mention the obvious prostitute that had at least 3 men visit her in the time i was there? And these are just the things i witnessed… i wonder what else goes on around there, but i promise you this, I won’t be going back to find out. EPIC. FAIL.
