I am a case manager and my clients have cab service to medical appointments through their insurance and Yellow Cab is often one of the vendors the insurance companies use. We have had nothing but trouble with this company. I have spoken with the dispatcher on my clients’ behalf on several occasions when they were left at appointments without a ride and they will often claim that a driver is on their way and it should only be 5 – 10 minutes and 45 minutes later, there’s still no cab. I filed a complaint with the business and told him, if you’re going to be 45 minutes, that’s fine, but do not tell my client that you are five minutes away and then not show up for another 40 minutes, that is unprofessional. The dispatcher is courteous, but it’s really as if he’s just placating you by listening, he made it pretty obvious that no action would be taken. They also have claimed in the past that a cab showed up early and the client wasn’t ready so they left, and I know that isn’t true because our clients are supervised so there is always a staff presence and we would know if the cab had come by. All in all, it’s an incredibly unprofessional company and they frequently lie to their clients.
