The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

I like this Coffee Bean even though it’s a smaller location and the space where the line forms is a little on the narrow side. Located in good ol’ Toluca Lake along its main drag, Riverside Drive. I like the cold drinks myself. If it’s not an Ice Blended, I will go for a pineapple sweet tea. So good, so refreshing. It comes on the sweet side but that’s the way I like my sweet tea. Heavy on the sugar. So nice on a Summer day. The Ice Blended is such a classic drink. Cant go wrong with any of their flavors although I usually go with the classics. Mocha or Vanilla. It’s so good.
Staff is friendly. No complaints on that end. Parking is along Riverside Dr or adjacent side streets.

The young girl was super helpful i didnt catch her name but she explained and helped me try the new Pineapple tea over ice, even though i regularly get the ice blended mocha it was awesome.

Love Coffee Bean. This review is for the staff like the other reviews. First time at this location. I ordered a medium size ice blended drink. I paid and also tip. Gave me a small size. Had to redo the whole thing and had to wait longer. Barista was in a rush to go home. Will probably not come back at this location again.

Love this location. Very friendly and efficient staff, and my lattes/​coffees are always well-​made and delicious.

I come here almost every day before work. The baristas are friendly and provide quick service. I’m usually in and out within 5 minutes. There’s a parking lot in the back which is free in the mornings, and free for an hour (I believe) with validation in the afternoons. I only wish they had a rewards program since I come so often.

It takes a lot to write a review for a coffee shop, however, this Coffee Bean deserves it. I normally come here in the mornings on my way to work. No matter if there are 10 people in line or no-​one at all Everyone is on their game. No downtime! Everyone is super friendly, courteous overall great environment. Never have I had a bad experience here. I would like to give a special shout out to SHELDON, this man is always smiling, greets everyone when they walk in, and literally has my drink ready for me by the time I get to the register. If that’s not phenomenal service, I don’t know what is. Thank you Coffee Bean Toluca, you guys Rock and make my mornings better as I sit in traffic while I drive to work!

Favorite CB location! Very lowkey and cozy to do some computer work or grab a quick coffee with a friend.
Parking is convenient and Trader Joe’s is across the street. Baristas are polite. What’s not to love?!

This is probably one of my favorite coffee bean locations. I always stop by here after shopping at trader joe’s across the street. The employees are friendly and they are always so fast getting my drink out!

The employees here are super friendly. Always in a good mood, just like God LOL
They have a front sitting area outdoors on Riverside, but it is always sunny, so you can sit in the back, by the alley, just like a stray cat :) and is great and quiet.
There is one hour parking free with validation or you can park in the hood.
The good thing for me is that unlike Starbucks, this cofee bean is never too busy and there is always places to sit. I give them four stars because there are not many plugs for your computers.

Came here after eating next door at Sharkys.
Was heading out to drive back to San Diego because we came from a taping of The Ellen Show!
My friend & I took long on deciding what to get but the gentleman that worked here last night on Nov. 4^th, 2015, didn’t catch his name but he was patient and sweet to us and answered our questions! S/​O to him!
Got the winter tea drink I forgot the name but he basically described that it’s Christmas in a Cup and he was right! It’s so good!
My friend got Cookie Butter with chocolate pump latte and my mom chai latte!
The aroma was wonderful driving back home!

Ample parking on the street and in the back lot, really fast and nice service, and delicious breakfast and coffee. It’s a no brainer go-​to spot.

I initially started coming to this location because it’s super close to my house and my love for my fiancé pales in comparison to my love for Coffee Bean. I kept coming back, though, because the employees at this location are just super wonderful.
I really want to give a shout out to Gustavo, though. I came looking for Challah bread, because, well, you know. I just can’t live without it. So on this particular day they had already sold out. Gustavo took the time to call a few locations in the area to see if he could find some at another location, which I completely didn’t expect, and after finding out that pretty much every location worth driving to was out, he even offered up nearby places that might have it. He was so nice and wonderful that I believe he deserves to be acknowledged for his spectacular customer service abilities. Thank you, Gustavo. It’s people like you that keep me coming back to this location.

The best part about this place is the patio. I find myself here especially on Saturday mornings planning out my day early in the morning.
Right in the heart of charming Toluca Lake. This place is also awesome for people watching. I remember seeing Megan Fox (yes, that Megan fox) ordering a latte here once. Let’s just say that no one was acting like their LA usual busy selves that day. :)
Staff is super friendly waiting to greet you with a smile every time. Awesome place to start your day!

it gets crazy busy! narrow store so standing to wait for your drink can be a little trying, but a nice outdoor seating area, and no passcode needed for the free wifi!

Great place with pretty good choices, I’ve been a Starbucks guy for awhile now, I thought I would cross over today. Great service at this location.

Fantastic location!
Very clean and well kept, great staff and my blended mocha was on point!
Really hit the spot passing through on a hot afternoon, the chocolate covered espresso beans really sets CBTL apart from all other chains, they seriously make the best ice blended anywhere!
Prices are fair, cannot drive by without stopping in!

I’m in here almost every day and purposefully go here instead of another location because of the people.
The staff are so incredibly kind, and never look at me with annoyance when I place my order — which is a bit unusual. They even anticipate it now, which is great!
I really enjoy coming in and saying hello to the staff behind the counter, knowing they will always go above and beyond!

Hi, I stop at this Coffee Bean about 2 or 3 times a week as its easy location on my drive to work.
The coffee is good, priced fairly, my only issues is with the lids that do not fit as well as a Starbucks lids and the sleeve does not ft as well either, take note Coffee Bean execs as this should be looked at.
This review is about THE STAFF as they are highly uneven.
THE GIRLS: They are great, very customer orientated and like their jobs, especially short dark haired girl who is ‘very on’, so its pleasant to be served by them.
THE GUYS: Very mixed lot here, I was served by a guy today named Mike who was dazed as if in a coma, he is very non-​connected to the customer and only wants to punch the register, never wants to pour or serve a coffee as if that not his job, it makes the wait longer and the tension at the counter palpable. The 2 black guys that work here are even worse, really not guest friendly at all, again, they only want to punch the register and not do anything else, they are happy to let you wait. its very awkward.
I don’t know if this indifference is ‘a valley thing’ as I have felt it before, but I really feel it at this Coffee Bean, which I would not patronize excepting that it is so freeway close to my ramp.
I like Coffee Bean, not reviewing the product badly, its just the staff, they are so ‘Grand’, it makes no sense and I, as a customer do not care for it.

Did you know that the Coffee Bean invented iced coffee? That’s what my sister, who now lives near this Coffee Bean, told me. So I tried the Iced Coffee and it was pretty amazing! The service was great and the coffee was fantastic the few times I stopped in during my trip.
The seasonal Pumpkin Spice coffee is very flavorful and I even bought a bag of grounds to bring back home to Milwaukee! I definitely prefer Coffee Bean over other popular chains and hope that one day they will migrate into the Midwest :)
