Really! Worst store ever!!! Month old expired bacon sitting in cooler, no expiration on the eggs, and bread was also 2 weeks expired! Guy«working» doesn’t even acknowledge you. He is to busy playing video games and being rude to the customers who wait at register for him to pause the game!!! I can not believe they are still in business. I am going to be calling food safety, this can not be legal!!! If the owners cared at all they would fire the douche bag running the place!!!

Ok let me preface by saying that I’ve been going to Diekmann’s General store for over 30 + years in tiny old western town of Tomales Ca. It used to be be a great store for many decades as a general old fashioned store for travelers and locals. One could buy basic local produce, typical hardware items, treats, charcoal, or bit of beer or wine. When it was sold by a local family with local integrity and pride of the products they sold, it was bought by non locals. The store owners do not even greet anyone entering the store, its all electronic voice and a guy playing video games at the office desk. All the shelves are filled with unhealthy #### food. It is now all about candy, liquor, Highly processed foods to go and absolute max shelf life for 10 years at least of canned packaged food. Lower quality than most 7−11s! I am an liberal person, open minded, and welcoming of all ! This place is terrible for the local community as well as travelers who pass through… and until the reviews send a message it will unfortunately carry on and continue! I will never return… and they have completely lost a customer my family of 15 and all our business guests of 35 years! Would love to leave less than 1 star!

Friendly old West style general store. I bought a soft big hoodie there and love it. Small town, and this place has tons you may need if you’re passing through.

Definitely Mayberry RFD Definitely a place where everybody knows your name and your business The only thing missing here was an old lazy coon dog sleeping out front These are the coolest places and they are getting harder and harder to find across the country everyone may state the prices are higher than normal or higher than they should be but no one is really complaining because this is the only way they can still exist. If your passing through this intersection you should stop and experience it!

For a tiny little store in a town the size of a flea fart, they really have everything you could possibly need. And their wine selection is shockingly vast! I do have to complain about the lack of Miller Lite though… that’s my favorite camping beer and they do not appear to carry it. They’ve got liquor as well, plus snacks and groceries and sundries and even firewood. Everything is a little bit on the expensive side, but when you’re really the only place in town that sells anything at all ever, you can charge whatever the fuck you want.

Cool vibe, sorta old west. Good service and a great selection of «micro brew» sodas. Good beer and wine selection as well ;}

I am writing a review on a general store. because really, how many of us city gals grew up with a general store? How many of us hang out on sunday afternoons in front of a general store where you can buy a Nutrigrain bar for 40 cents?

Great store with the old fashioned small town charm. Had everything we forgot to bring with for our weekend-Diet Soda, onions, eggs, sugar, etc. Our rental house was fairly well equipped and we brought plenty, but what a find! It is a tad pricey, but hey, I was on a mini-vacation and expected to pay a bit more!

Great place! Awesome service. If you are visiting, be sure to stop here first… the owner had good tips on places to eat and things to see. Unfortunately, we came here at the end of our trip. This place had all the things we needed for our girls-only smorgusbord of wine, cheese, sausage, crackers and treats. Excellent customer service!

Okay it’s pricey, but it’s the only grocery in a small town, how else are they going to pay the mortgage/lease/water bill? It is, however, beyond cute. Where else can you buy an old fashioned stick of candy for 25 cents, an oyster shucker, local lavendar, salt water taffy and a roll of scotch tape? It has a good balance of local flavor, historical charm and modern amenities.
