Kim’s Pub

I always have a great time here. Cheap drinks, friendly staff & interesting people to talk to. I think the negative reviews are from people that can’t appreciate a good neighborhood bar.
And for the review about it being too smokey in there — FYI, you can smoke in any bar outside the city limits so if you want *smoke free* then drive into Houston.

If you want to die from cancer from Second hand smoke, kims is the place to go. They only have 1 really small ventilation system way behind the bar. So smokey, makes your eyes burn and makes you wreak like smoke when you leave. Everytime I go I leave with the worst headache.

I don’t write many reviews on Unilocal,mostly because I just use it to see what other people say, but I really needed to say something just to defend the place a little bit. Some of the reviews I read I can’t argue and say they didn’t happen because I wasn’t there and I’m not going to call someone a liar, but I can say that Kim’s pub has been a great place for me and my friends that go about twice a week. Kim makes the best jello shots I have ever had and they only cost a dollar! Yeah, some nights get busy and with a staff of about 3 people, you’re probably not going to get catered on as you would at some chain bar like buffalo wild wings. I’ve honestly never had a problem with service at Kim’s, but I understand things like this happen sometimes and its unfortunate that the people it happened to never came and gave this bar another try. In all honesty, the bars patrons probably don’t like their pompous attitudes anyways

Horrible experience! The owner banned us for taking a photo of something she allowed in her own bar. The owner Kim Really needs some customer service training. There are tons of clean, friendlier places to try and have a drink.

Great spot! Interesting crowd, cheap drinks, good music, and they even had karaōke on the night I was there. This is definitely a party spot so be prepared for some rowdiness.
