Willow Creek Ranch of Tomball

Willow creek ranch is the best place in the world! I literally don’t know what I would do without them when we go out of town. It’s so nice to be able to have a place we can trust to bring our sweet paisley! The owners, Ray and Karen, are the sweetest people ever and even send us pictures of her when we are gone! The employees there are all also very sweet loving people. I don’t know what we will do when we move! The world needs more places like this!

What an amazing experience ! We dropped off our Pom-​Chi to have some puppy playtime and to be groomed. She was nervous when we left her but she was not ready to go when we picked her up. This is truly puppy paradise. Staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. We will definitely be back!!!

We have left our lab here multiple times and it’s always been a terrific experience. They take him swimming and really seem to bond with him during his stay at «camp». I say this because when I call to check on him, they say things that only someone who has spent time with him would know. They also send text message pictures of him to me which really eases my mind. It’s nice to know that they live on the property too! There is always someone nearby just in case!!!

I took my mini schnauzer in for grooming for the first time today. I was very pleased with the job they did. She looks great and they followed my special directions well. The people were very friendly. It is a cage free facility. My dog is not very friendly with other dogs so they were accommodating and let us leave her kennel there. They have many rooms for boarding. I saw lots of dogs happily sleeping on beds and playing outside. I never saw any of the dogs fighting or being aggressive. I talked to the owners and thought they were very nice as well. We will definitely be going back!!!

This was our first time to use any type of boarding facility for our dogs– it was recommended by friends who have been going here for years. It was super busy the morning that I dropped them off, but the staff was still super attentive (maybe they knew I was anxious to leave them!). I called the next day to check on them, where the phone was immediately passed to Carolyn who went on and on about Mister and Biggie– explaining how they reminded her of her own dogs and how they had kindly accommodated Mister’s fear of walking on strange floors. Yes, it’s a thing! Carolyn was kind enough to text me photos throughout the weekend, which I appreciated more than she will ever know. Anyway, this is the second day they are home and they are STILL comatose haha! We will DEFINITELY be going back!

We used Willow Creek for a one-​night stay as our usual kennel was full. We dropped our dog (4 year old female lab) off at 1p and picked her up at 10a the following day.
Problem # 1: Our dog apparently got into some food (A LOT of food) at the kennel which distended her stomach. We knew something wasn’t right when we picked her up, but we thought she was just tired from all the playing. Being tired was the least of her problems. We had to make a middle-​of-​the-​night run to the animal ER to the tune of $ 350, as well as a day-​after run to her vet which cost another $ 350. Plus, she was sick for several days while trying to recover.
We called Willow Creek to provide them the feedback on what was happening with her, and we were told there was no way this was possible (even though we saw her try to get into the food next to their desk while we were dropping her off). After speaking with a supervisor and them still denying it, they did offer to give us one free day of day camp… really?!? No refund of our boarding fees? No partial refund? And really, why would we take our pup back there anyway? We board her off-​and-​on several times throughout the year at another location, and have NEVER had an issue like this. NEVER!
Problem # 2: Upon picking her up we were told that our usually submissive pup was in a tussle with another dog and had a «scratch» (their words, not ours) on her ear. Not a huge deal, as we know things happen. But, we found out during our vet visit that it was an actual bite on her ear (2 puncture holes), along with what was truly a scratch just under the ear. We don’t get overly freaked out by these things, but again, we weren’t told the truth, AND… she’s boarded off-​and-​on and has NEVER been in a tussle with another dog that resulted in injury.
Problem # 3: Our pup wasn’t even at the kennel for 24 hours, yet we were charged for 2 days boarding. A total of $ 80. We find this a little ridiculous. Plus, in addition to the other $ 700 we spent, her one night kennel stay ran us a total of almost $ 800. INSANE!
We would NOT recommend Willow Creek to ANYONE, for obvious reasons. BUT, we will happily continue to board her at our usual kennel anytime. She gets plenty of play time there (several hours in the morning AND afternoon), and she LOVES it.

Ok… been back a few more times and still pleased with these folks!!! We have taken our dogs here for baths, grooming and doggie day care! This place has exceeded my expectations!

We had our days stay 3 times for the weekend on three different occasions. The owners are nice but that is the only positive things I can say about it. One female member of the staff is extremely rude and has an attitude problem toward customers which is unacceptable. Both of our dogs are vaccinated and came back with kennel cough after each visit. Our dogs also looked a little distraught after we picked them up but we thought we would give it one more try.
After receiving a confusing automated email about my upcoming visit which referenced prices from 2011, I emailed back asking what the actual prices were and if they had changed. I received a rude email back that didn’t answer the question and when I asked for clarification, I received no response.
To top it off, the last time we took our dogs there they administered «medicine» on my dog who has bad skin allergies without my consent. They applied this ointment to a hot spot without cleaning the spot so there was dirt and grime in the wounded area stuck with ointment muck to his head. They also swore that they left his cone collar on his head that we brought him in with and instructed them to leave on (which was protecting the hot spot) but we noticed that it had obviously been taken off as it was tapped up differently than when we brought him in. Also, there was no other way that dirt would have gotten in. When I expressed my concern about the issue I was told that they «do what they think is best for the animals and do not call owners for things they chose to take care of». I think that is about the worst thing they could have said to a caring dog owner and that is not appropriate practice when you are caring for others’ animals. Needless to say, my dog’s hot spot worsened and needed medical attention since it had become infected.
Each drop off and pick up was always unorganized with the staff not knowing the details of our dogs’ stay and always seeming confused. One stay my dog was left out of the swim group (which was a main reason we chose this place) after I had specifically mentioned for him to swim when I dropped him off. When I called to check after my 3^rd day gone my dog had not been swimming once.
All of these issues combined with rudeness from staff made us realize there is no reason to continue taking our dogs here.

What an incredible place this is for dogs. For the services offered the price is very low. I recommend this place to anyone the Houston area. I have 3 very energetic high maintenance dogs and every time I pick them up they seem to sleep for days.
This is not a kennel this a true dog camp.
It’s so worth drive from the inner loop of Houston

We have never boarded our dogs so I was at first hesitant. We found ourselves in a situation where had no choice but to board one of our pets recently. I found Willow Creek Ranch and we visited the facility. They made us feel very comfortable with leaving our pets. When we went to pick up our pet, I’m not sure he actually wanted to come home with me! They took him out for a swim in the pond daily! They took such great care of our pet that I have no problem leaving them there again.

I am so pleased to be the first to review Willow Creek.
We have taken our girl Gretta here several times and only had good experiences. She loves her time here and knows when we are getting close. I describe it to people as less of boarding and more like Summer Camp. Because Gretta is a big lab I love that they have a pond and plenty of space her to run and play.
We often take her here with my Mother-​In-​Laws dog and it’s perfect. They give discounts for recommending people and for 3+ dogs. Ask them about it.
The pricing is good and they will give your pup a bath before you pick them up. I would suggest that you call and make a reservation a good bit in advance as they are a very busy place.

Our beloved Patrick has been going to Willow creek pet ranch now for almost 1 year and he LOVES it! Just like Oscar, he starts to go crazy the minute we pull up to the gate. The owners, Ray and Karen, are such wonderful people and really make sure that all the dogs are well taken care of. All their staff is just as wonderful and really take good care of Patrick. I chose Willow creek as they are a cage free boarding and daycare facility so Patrick gets a chance to be really social and interact with other dogs. My husband and I are very busy professionals and Willow creek ranch has been a big blessing for us and for our Patrick. This place deserves 10 stars!

We spent 2 weeks in Costa Rica and didn’t know what to do with our puppy. He is not kennel trained and gets really upset when he’s caged (probably due to his rescue situation). We visited the ranch and the owner is an ex-​police officer and his wife is currently an officer. The ranch originally began as a horse boarding business and they raise ducks as well. The environment can be customized to each dog’s needs. They have small dog runs, large dog runs, a pond, a pool and they can either have roommates or have their own room. The coolest part is that they stay in a house that is a replica of the house that the owners live in. EXACT. Not smaller. And they each have a bedroom.
The owners are AWESOME. They truly care about each dog as an individual and they don’t expect each dog to behave the same. They are the BEST dog boarders ever. But the real kicker was the price!!! How in the world this place could be the same price as any other place in the Heights? Unbelievable.
Oh, did I mention that you can drop off your dog and pick them up ANY time? Yes, any time. You can arrange to have them groomed before pick up, but you don’t feel pressured to. And it’s family run.
Our dog ran with the horses every day and loved his new friends so much that we had to bribe our little one to get in the car to go home. We have already booked for Christmas and New Years. They will not be able to take new customers for long with business going the way that it is.
