We love to get away and go to Tombstone. One of our favorite places there is Big Nose Kate’s. We never go there without stopping in. The last time we were there(right after Christmas) We stopped in for lunch. My husband had the chicken wings, they were the best I have ever tasted and we eat a lot of wings! The beers always ice cold and the entertainment is great. YOU gotta go!

Very cramped and not sure it’s worth the hassle… but it part of the Tombstone/Wyatt Earp history so I guess you can say you’ve been there.

Delicious! Not only is this just a really neat place and fun atmosphere, the food is delicious! Got the stampede burger with BBQ and bacon. It was huge and delicious! The fries were very good! Ordered onion ring app, which was very good. Mom ordered the brisket dinner & must’ve had a pound of meat! Everything was tasty and you definitely get your money’s worth of food! The waitress was great and attentive. Service was fast! My only complaint was my burger bun was dry.

Love, love, love this place !!! live music it’s like stepping back in time… It’s a must!!! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars the foods not the best but do it any way it’s not bad. The atmosphere is insanely cool… Also if you want to see a gunfight go down to my Brenda’s chuckwagon for the gunfight down there you can drink in that one none of the others in town .its called Old tombstone western town.

Even though multiple different sites say that Big Nose Kate is open from 10am to 12am they are apparently not opened at 1pm. The staff was also short with us when we walked into the saloon through the unlocked doors.

This place is mainly a tourist trap and we fell for it. They recommended the rudeness sandwich which was huge. We split it between the three of us along with nachos. The food was just okay nothing special. It was a really cool environment to dine in though!

Been here a few times over the years. For history buffs they keep the place somewhat historical. I love the stain glasses windows. The food is something you would expect at a Hooters… not 4 star but good. When I walked in with my family they had a man playin country music on the stage. The bartenders were friendly and it’s really the only place in Tombstone to sit and have a beer.

Love the feel of the place, nice people, cool deco. As for the food typical tourist place, my family enjoyed it, they had cheese pizza for my 3 year old twin boys, my husband had a hamburger. I got a Caprese Panini, it didn’t come out with everyone else’s but it was decent.

Big Nose Kate’s Saloon is the best place for food, drinks and entertainment in Tombstone. It’s got fun decour inside with neat little nooks to settle down in for a sasparilla as well as tables big enough to accommodate larger groups. The resident cowboy crooner is always center stage and he’s good for a laugh or a cry depending how you feel about country music. He actually did his rendition of a doo wop song when we were there and, in all fairness, he’s a good performer. They have a custom brewed Pilsner made especially for them by a Bisbee Brewery which is really smooth and crisp. The nachos we opted for were just so-so. Everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves and the bar bunch was a fun and boisterous crowd.

Good olé’ fashion saloon! We’ve been to Virginia City NV a few times and our first time here in a Tombstone AZ and this is my first time eating in a saloon and the experience was great! There were lots of food places to eat here in Tombstone but we chose Big Nose Kate’s Saloon. For one thing the saloon had a unique name and when I peeked inside the place was bustling, the atmosphere was fun, lively and fun. The servers were dressed in colorful Old West 1880’s costumes. There was a live music entertainment, a one-man show on stage. And just who is Big Nose Kate? She is believed to have been the first prostitute in Tombstone, Arizona Territory but her biggest claim to fame was the fact that she was also Doc Holliday’s girlfriend. The saloon used to be the Grand Hotel, the original building built in 1881. On October 25, 1881, the night before the Gunfight at the OK Corral, the Clantons and the McLaurys were guests here. Great trivia. Once inside we were told to sit wherever we want. There is a long full bar on the right side as you enter the place. There were not that many 2-seat table left so we ended up getting a 6-seater round table, just the two of us. Our server was quick and friendly. The menus came in newspaper form(like Black Bear Diner’s menus). The saloon had many memorabilia décor throughout and it looked like they can be purchased. In the middle of the saloon there is a spiral stairway leading to the lower level to a store called The Shaft and offering unique clothing and retail items. The tables had interesting and fun reading material. The menu had plenty to offer and the prices were very affordable: hamburgers, pizza, hot dogs, sandwiches and even Mexican food. Just had their dessert Schieffelin’s favorite Sopapillas. Deep fried dough triangles sprinkled with powdered sugar and I chose chocolate for dipping. Yummy!

Big Nose Kate’s Saloon is a must while visiting Tombstone. Not only do they have wonderful food, but the drinks, staff and atmosphere are exactly what you would expect and desire Tombstone to represent. Don’t be nervous about setting yourself up at the bar and taking a shot of straight whiskey like they would have back in the day … it will take you right back to the 1800’s in a flash. Big Nose Kate’s is located in the middle of town. The building was once the Grand Hotel, originally built in 1881. As the story goes, the night before the Gunfight at the OK Corral, the Clantons and the McLaurys were guests of the Grand Hotel. The famous Big Nose Kate’s Saloon has wonderful food to go along with a wide variety of craft beers and liquor. But, there’s a lot to do at Big Nose Kate’s besides grabbing a great meal and a drink. During the day, the place has more of a family atmosphere. You can take pictures of your party living it up with people dressed up in vintage clothing. On some days, you can sit back and listen to the live music coming from the stage. At night, things get a lot livelier. It’s a great spot to hang out and enjoy Tombstone’s night life with friends and locals alike. We did a little of both! After we had finished exploring the mines, we decided to stop and enjoy lunch at Big Nose Kate’s. We had been told that they had one of the best Reuben sandwiches west of the Mississippi and I gotta tell you, it’s true! We sat down and enjoyed a feast! Goldie’s Famous Over-stuffed Reuben is a taste sensation! It’s made with toasted rye bread chock-full of juicy, slow-cooked corned beef and topped with kraut, Swiss cheese and Kate’s special sauce. Let me tell you this sandwich is something special! There is so much corned beef stacked high on rye that I literally peeled off pieces as I was eating the sandwich to enjoy the delicious taste of pure corned beef between bites. The special sauce really brought all the elements of the sandwich together — the way a great Reuben should. It was served with crisp, tasty onion rings and pickles. I highly recommend. Next up, we enjoyed the Cowboy Cheese Steak with Fries. Oddly enough, we were eating East Coast delicacies in an Old Western town. Now, I am a sucker for Philly Cheesesteaks and I was sincerely impressed with this one as it had that western kick to it. The Cowboy Cheese Steak was made with shaved rib-eye steak, sautéed onions, green bell peppers, pepper jack cheese and… here it comes… drizzled with a house-made Chipotle Ranch Sauce and served on a freshly-baked hoagie roll. Wow! Pretty unbelievable. Our wonderful server, who was dressed to the T in Old Western attire, suggested we all order a Big Nose Kate Big Olé Beer and the BBQ Brisket. So that’s just what we did… what a good call! Curly Bill’s Brisket Dinner consisted of savory slow-cooked BBQ beef brisket served with a special tangy BBQ sauce, fries, and potato salad; a truly western meal in a truly western town. Whether you’re looking to see the sights, eat lunch or dinner, have a drink or even dance, then Big Nose Kate’s is the place to go while in Tombstone. Just take a look at the photography and you will see what I mean.

I was in Tucson with a softball team and had an evening free — Tombstone, AZ was only 45 minutes away so we made a night of it. The highlight of the evening was definitely Big Nose Kate’s Saloon. The atmosphere is fantastic and really feels like an old-time saloon… almost. Their concession to the 21st century is two high-def TVs which are very much out of place. I understand it is a functioning bar and draws sports fans, but I could have done without. The food was good and the server was quite hospitable. They were pretty busy this night and they could have used one more server. I had a standard burger that was cooked well but was unspectacular. However a couple teammates had the brisket and said it was very good. Overall it was a lot of fun and if I ever get to the area again I would certainly return.

Tourist trap for sure, but if you want lunch or dinner when in Tombstone your options are pretty slim. The décor of the restaurant is interesting ~ it’s a saloon so you can imagine. It definitely has an old west feel. The food isn’t the worst, but certainly not the best. The burgers are frozen and simply put together when ordered. The flavor isn’t terrible. However, a hand formed burger would be more authentic! We started off by ordering some Corn Fritters. Even though they looked good, they were raw and runny inside. Goes to show ~ it’s not all about the looks of your food! Our waiter was nice and pretty quick to serve us. While we waited for our lunch we enjoyed listening to the live music and singer. We were surprised with some of his language and if we had small children with us, would not have stayed.

Super cheesy tourist trap — but what the f*ck do you expect in frigging TOMBSTONE, AZ!!! Bartender was cool as hell and let me charge my phone while I ate/drank. My sis and I shared nachos and Kate’s Breast southwest chicken sandwich, and everything was good enough. You don’t really come to a place like this looking for quality food, tho. It’s all about AMBIANCE! The ambiance here is super-thick old-west shtick — waitresses in old-time corset saloon gal outfits, waiters in cowboy gear. Val Kilmer in «Tombstone» playing on an endless loop on the overhead TVs, old guy on stage playing Jimmy Buffet and lite country covers. Weathered wooden everything. Overall, a pretty cool place. Right in the middle of the old tyme part of town.

I went here with a big family lunch and was kind of expecting the typical tourist trap crap. Not what I got. This place was freaking awesome. It was reasonably priced great food. And for me to say that is really saying something. Pizza was great, burgers great, panini great. Group of 11 seated and fed in a reasonable amount of time. The décor is totally make believe western, but that’s ok. Of course, the teenage son noticed the picture of the naked lady behind me. Wife took picture of us with same picture in background and posted to Facebook without noticing till the comments came in. Loved the old time country songs being sung. Embarrassed the kids by knowing some of the words and kind of singing along. All in all a great time and I’d readily stop here again.

The ambiance at Big Nose… was great. The feel in the restaurant was like and old western cowboyish saloon, which fit the attraction to tombstone perfectly. The servers and employees were really nice and quiet funny. The food however was a little blah… Meaning decent. I had the cowboy cheese steak; it was alright nothing special and a little cold. The food did take awhile to come out, however a warning is announced about the long wait. Three stars for Big Nose… For good customer service and awesome ambiance. — Sometimes when service is good, it makes food taste a little better.

Well, if I had to rate this place from the piss all over the floor in the bathroom(goosh goosh, literally) it would get one star. Food was okay – nothing too special. Prices not exorbitant. Service was slower than a snail. When my wife asks for a refill of iced tea, please bring it within ten minutes, okay? The ambiance is your typical touristy old west stuff. Good for show. In the evenings on Sunday, the whole character of the place changes when the tourists start clearing out and the locals start piling up to the bar. Eh. Next time I visit Tombstone and I’m hungry, I’m gonna mosey over to the next saloon.
