Hotel is good. Clean. Has a bar, only 3 draft beers though. Weak! Food sucked too. Menu states, «hand cut boardwalk fries»…they coulda passed for OreIda straight from the freezer. I know the difference! And, the cole slaw that came w the burger, spoiled. It tasted like my homemade cole slaw(which kicks maximum ass) after the summer picnic is over… you know, it’s been sitting in the heat all day, the ice under it is warm water and I have 16 beers in me and decide to have some later in the evening. NFG Hotel is good though. Restaurant sucks

I attended an anniversary party here this weekend. The party was in one of the ballrooms. Buffet included a nice variety of classics: chicken marsala, stuffed shells, sausage and peppers, and stuffed flounder. Everything tasted great. The wait staff and bartender were so nice! Very accommodating and helpful with everything, especially with the kids(getting special drink orders of chocolate milk, hot water for a bottle, etc). My Sister in law said she was pleased with the whole experience as well. They took care of everything for her.

I recently stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding. I’ve read other reviews that were not so hot, but this place seems to have gone through a major overhaul and is actually not half bad. The room itself was clean, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked great(thank god!) and the complimentary breakfast(pour-your-own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, assorted pastries) was perfect for what it was. Close to Seaside Heights and major roadways, getting around wasn’t a problem. I would say the cons are the shower,(which was new and clean, but entirely too dark and felt a little like a tomb) and the price. Granted, we were there in high season, but no way this is a 225 a night place, IMO. Luckily we were part of a group and got a hefty discount. All in all, a good stay. 3.5 stars.
