Used to like it here now not so great. We don’t go here anymore since there so many much better places to eat. It has gone downhill with the new ownership, and much more expensive!

Food is very good. A little pricey but the quality is very high. The service was quick and the staff is very friendly. The place is a little small but we did bring a lot of people. The building seems to have another segment to it but it is unfinished. I think the place had a lot of potential.

Wow, what a gem in Toms River. I checked out this place for a quick solo lunch after it came up with such favorable reviews. It lived up to the hype! When I arrived at 2pm on a Wednesday it was completely empty, I had my pick of tables. The hostess/waitress was exceedingly prompt in coming to the table and asked if I wanted anything to drink. I ordered a Thai iced tea, and by the time I was ready to order she was already bringing it to the table! There was a page long list of reasonably priced lunch specials, I opted for one with vegetables, glass noodles and tofu. It also came with a heaping mound of deliciously sticky white rice. The dish itself was also scrumptious, usually with such a generous portion of Thai food I fill up quickly and have leftovers, but this was so delicious I ate the whole thing. And the Thai iced tea was spot on, too. While I was eating there was some pretty noisy construction going on next door, but it didn’t bother me. I asked and apparently they are opening up a next-door expansion in a week. Regardless, I can’t wait to return for some excellent Thai food!

This place used to be great. Not sure what happened. Portions are small for their price. Service has become mediocre at best. Place was ½ empty last Saturday and the owner didn’t even greet us. Being that we live a bike ride away, it’s very disappointing.

All it took was one time for me not to come here again. I got the Chicken Pad Thai and there was a hair in it. I get it, it happens, but the server did not even apologize for it. She took the plate to the back, and upon her return, came back with the full check. Hey Siam Spice, in case you were wondering, hair doesn’t belong in your food! And if it ends up in there anyway, you should at least apologize for it. Disgusting experience. There are better Thai places out there than this.

Made reservations on Tuesday April 12 for 2 adults and a highchair for Friday April 15 at 6:30… And when we made the reservation we made sure that highchairs were available as it is a small place… Arrive at 6:30 and they literally act like we don’t have a reservation, then look in book and we see them point yes they had the reservation. But no tables available they say can we wait 5 – 10 mins… My sister asks is it really that amount of time and the woman responds yes they are paying bill now… We walk outside as there is no waiting area and you are literally standing at the front door. When we step outside we realize it is the table right by the window which is for two people not three meaning the highchair will be pretty much wedged in between the two tables… Well that is annoying and how uncomfortable for the other table that the highchair will be wedged in between. Also we are three people and that is not enough dining surface for all of us to eat at! My sister walks back inside and says we are just going to leave with just a response of ok… Hello how rude you make a reservation, they act like you did not make one, you are to be squeezed in between two tables when they have two tables pushed together on the other side for a a larger party and we are to be squeezed in maybe we should have been told no when we called to make the reservation or were contacted that could we come in earlier or later for proper table accommodations. and the point of the reservation is so you don’t have to wait especially dining with a child who by the way would be getting a meal also! This is the second time we have had a problem with reservations the previous time was in November when we had a Friday night reservation and arrived to a sign on the door stating they were closed for reorganization… We figured we would give it another try as we have dined before and enjoyed the food well two times with messed up reservations we are done! So disappointing and no customer service what’s so ever…

We were back here again last month and it looks like they are in the process of updating their Menu. The special for that day was shrimp in spicy garlic sauce. It was the best thing I have eaten in Siam Spice(or any Thai restaurant for that matter). I hope they add it to their regular menu. if you see it on the menu order it. Trust Me.

Love this place. Either to eat in or get take out, both great experiences. I usually get the pad see yew with shrimp or tofu… so good. And crab ragoons are also delicious.

Siam Spice is a small, authentic Thai food restaurant in Toms River. The food is phenomenal and very fresh. The service is also exceptional. My favorite soup here is the Geow Nam and for an entrée hands down the Siam Spice Shrimp. The other day I wanted to try a different entrée and I had the Choo-Chee Scallops. They too were fantastic! You cannot go wrong with this place. Make a reservation b/c like I said it’s small and the food keeps people coming back often. Also, it’s BYOB.

New staff here and I can tell, very disappointed. This was my absolutely favorite spot for Thai food not any longer. As a vegetarian it was the best spot for me(locally). Now I must search again. I gave it 3 stars for the sole purpose of if you eat seafood our neighboring table loved the snapper special and my husband had the shrimp and scallop combo and was happy with his plate. I had the pad Thai(w/tofu) typical traditional dish but not good at all:(lacked flavor and was very dry. Sincerely, Very disappointed :(.

Excellent. My husband and I both ordered the pad Thai with duck. It was delicious. My only complaint. They charge $ 3 extra for duck and you get maybe 5 small pieces of duck. I wish there was more. Other than that it was delicious. We’ll be back.

STAYAWAY!!! Food is mediocre and pricy!!! The fried chicken wings that was served to me was uncooked with some translucent meat and blood! I called the attention of the waitress who was very attentive which is the only nice thing I can say about this place, and the Manager/Owner came out and told me it was«cooked» I am 44 years old and I don’t need a lecture about«cooked food». I did not go dine out to argue so I told the«owner» to just give us our check! Customer Service«0»!!! Do yourself a favor!!! STAYAWAY!!! Not worth it!

Hands down the best Thai Food in Ocean County. Been everywhere trying Thai food. So far no body beats them. Unsurpassed taste with quality ingredients equals amazing food. And Siam Spice completes it. Try it you you’ll be amazed.

Don’t let looks fool you, this is the real deal for Thai food. My wife and I have been going here for three years and it has yet to disappoint. It can get pretty busy, so call ahead. Service is always fast and friendly. They do have the ability to accommodate larger parties, but like I said. Call ahead! Byob as well. The Tom yum noodles are crazy good!

Absolutely delicious meal. We ordered the pork appetizer(moo ping) which was fantastic on its own and came with a dipping sauce that elevated it even further. Incredibly tender. We also ordered the tom yum goong soup. EXCELLENT. Packs some heat, so keep that in mind. The pad kea mow was absolutely delicious. Not a spicy dish but packed with flavor. Everything was cooked really nicely. We also had the red curry. Another dish that packs heat– I was happy to have the rice that came with it! Overall, it was a great meal. BYOB

Have driven past here 100 times completely unaware of this hidden gem. We walked in to see only two tables full, and asked if we had a reservation? Really?.. Yes, really. this place was a packed house in 40 minutes and turning away people. Call ahead! I had the massaman curry with chicken… it was fragrant and delicious. my younger kids went with the owners sons suggestion of pad se eewu. Was so good my son did not want to part with his plate until it was practically licked clean. Pad Thai with beef was spot on while the Pad Kea Mow was outstanding. Dessert followed with both sticky rice choices; thai pumpkin custard and mango. Both a real crowd pleaser. The fried bananas were petite and delicious. The tables are tight, but not on top of each other. The service was great. The owners son answered any and all questions and gave us suggestions for our kids. He was beyond nice and gracious to our family. Everything that came out was absolutely fresh and delicious. All in all, Siam Spice was a great experience… we will definitely be going back again and again… WITH reservations!

What can we say but«unreal!» Everything from start to finish was wonderful, from our steamed dumplings right down to our sticky rice desserts. The service was great with a family team atmosphere. We squeaked in without reservations, but we know to have them for our return trip. This is a hidden gem in Ocean County!

I’ve ate a few times and always had a good time here. However, my latest trip was horrendous! The food was Way too SALTY on this trip! The fried rice was too salty, the papaya salad appetizer was somewhat salty, the rest of the food was also too salty. Keep in mind, I’ve been here multiple times and always had a decent enough experience and have recommended many people here. However, it was way off that night. At the end of dinner, we’ve waited for all the customers to leave and spoke of it to the owners’ husband(the white guy that’s always there). She was VERY offended that we told her that and said«you just want a discount or free food!» However, we’ve already paid and tipped generously, over 20%! I told her we only her because we are business owners ourselves and wanted her to know! She would not take any of it and was still mad we criticized her food for being overly salty! Now, I will NEVER recommend anyone here because she was just so NASTY to us! We did not shout or yell, merely whispered to her!
