Purchase all my Granddaughters toys from this store. Love it and love the price match they did for me recently from Amazon so I didn’t have to shop online!

I’m a frequent shopper at this Toys R Us because of the convenience and location. The organization of the store has changed over the last 8 – 9 years since I have been shopping at this location so that has helped improved my shopping experience. However, with the huge shopping and no option for hand baskets, the aisles easily become crowded, especially during the holidays and summer weekends. The stock is sometimes up to par as other Toys R Us stores within a 50 mile radius; however, it depends on what item you are looking for and the popularity. The store is relatively clean, except for the bathrooms which are so foul. For a children’s toy store, you would expect the restrooms to be welcoming to mother’s with infants and toddlers. I NEVER wanted to change my son’s diaper in there. You’re lucky if there is toilet paper, because there is never soap or paper towels. Most stalls are too filthy to use. It’s a disgrace. The lack of store employees available at any given time is ridiculous. Usually there is only one register open, and it is the same register used for electronics. No one is ever out on the floor. Another big issue is that this store fails to update the price stickers and sales, so if you don’t check the date carefully, your items end up ringing up at the regular price because the sale is over. Of course, they have to honor the sale, but it holds up the line as they have to go check the shelf price and get a manager to approve the discount. Just a nightmare sometimes. Without much competition, we have to shop at Toys R Us.

I shop at this store every single weekend due to the conveince of the location and several birthday parties my children are invited to every weekend. However, I was in this location yesterday and its the same story every time I go in this store there are NO employees to be found when you need help. Don’t worry I did find 3 of them ALL at the customer service desk. I hunted down an employee to ask about Thomas the trains table and accessiores. I was at another toys r us the day before and saw that Thomas the Train had a sale buy one get one free. So since I wanted to buy everything at once(table and accessiores) I figured I would go and purchase everything at MY famous toys r us location. When I asked the employee why the sign wasn’t posted(buy 1 get 1 free) they explained to me that the other Toys R Us put the display out to soon the sale doesnt start until next week. When I expalined my frustion on this issue. The st ore maanger MITCH expalined to me I was trying to take advanage of him and his store and HE wont honor what another store posted. However, understand that it was not his STORES fault. But I was going to spend at least 500.00 dollars on the table and accessiores. Knowing that I am customer who ALWAYS in there instead of goingto TARGET across the street and WAL-MART down the road. He would honor this since the sell is happening in a few days. When I asked for a GM or district manger he expalined he doesnt have anyone’s contact information. I will NEVER shop he again customer service doesn’t exist at this location. I further go out of my way than to EVER give this Toys R US a dollar of my hard working money!

I got my very first bicycle at this Toys“R“Us, sometime back in the late 70’s. It was a silver Ross, styled to look a bit like a dirtbike, complete with race-style number plates. I slapped space tape all over that baby, ’cause that’s how I rolled when I was eight. You know I was looking fine, tooling around my neighborhood and through the woods in style, probably rocking a Garanimals velour shirt… cold pimpin’. I once jumped a ramp with it and hurt myself so badly that I can still remember the pain to this day. I caught a handle bar right in my solar plexus, sprained my ankle, split my lip — the whole nine. I’d like to remember being hailed for my heroic crash, but I think what actually happened is that my friends laughed at me for crying, called me gay, threw sand in my face, and stole scratch and sniff stickers out of my jacket pocket. Those were the days. The only thing that has changed about this Toys“R“Us since that time is that you no longer have to take a paper tag to the cage to purchase a cartridge for your Atari 2600. I’m fairly sure they haven’t paved the lot since then. It is dirty, and it is sorely in need of renovation. It also isn’t kept very well stocked during the holiday season; last year I came in here looking for something they did not have, and ended up driving to the much busier Freehold store, where I was able to find it in quantity. Also, I am a compulsive buyer of Matchbox cars(don’t ask me why — I have no idea. It’s ridiculous.), and their selection sucks. Unfortunately, now that the toy store chain concept has mostly died, I can’t for see any motivation for them to fix the place up. As it was in the days of disco, I imagine it will still be when it has faded into total irrelevance and, ultimately, closure.

Old dingy version of a Toys R Us. This location has been there since I was little and seriously, I’m 34. It hasn’t changed one bit! It needs a little make over! I feel like I need to have an intervention with this store. Over crowded isles, lack of proper maintenance, a cashier that(seriously) had green and orange shit all over her teeth and needed a TOOTHBRUSH, empty shelves abounded amidst cramped spaces in the middle of the isles, this place was just fire hazard waiting to happen. I won’t be coming back. I’d rather toy shop at Target!
