I’ve visited Tonto Basin three times over the past year, and this is by far the best restaurant in the area. Portions are huge, the restaurant is clean, and the owners and waitstaff are super friendly. My favorite meal on my last visit was the country fried steak and eggs for breakfast. Yum! The desserts are homemade and I hear they’re awesome, but I’ve always been too full to try them! I have tried the homemade rolls, though. They’re pretty good, but if I were making them, I think I’d add a little raisin juice. Be sure to ask for the honey butter with the rolls!

I had been told that this was a great place to eat, and started going here off and on for the last year. I found it to be average at best but the last visit was a disaster. I went in for lunch and ordered the special for that day. It was a hot turkey sandwich. Now you wouldn’t exspect much but this was really bad. One slice of toast with 2 very thin slices of processed turkey which had been heated on the grill, covered with canned gravey. The side was mashed potatoes with the same gravy. I figured they may have had $ 1.75 maybe $ 2.00 worth of food on the plate and they charged me $ 9.00. NEVERAGAIN.
