This is an interesting spot and a Topeka institution. If you need something, ANYTHING, stop in here. They have a wide selection of used furniture and appliances with the center section of the store devoted to random stuff. Need a taxidermy wolf and/or a model plane? The center aisle has you covered. It’s a junky place inside and out with a lot of interesting characters.

If you’re into garage sales and junk stores, this will be right up your alley. Quite the collection of «stuff». Jerry will buy and sell just about anything — so the next time you’re looking for a wheel for a dolly or a spare ratchet part or a side table for a craft project, check here! It’s messy, it’s crowded, and it even smells funny — but treasures can be unearthed. This place is owned by Jerry Boyles, the once owner of the defunct Boyles Joyland theme park that was located out on California,(about where the auto store is now) and missed by many 30-somethings of Topeka. The carousel in Gage Park is from his park…

This place is interesting but a little creepy. I think it was some sort of theme park back in the day. The old Joyland sign is still displayed above the front door between two clown heads. There are piles of lawn mowers, outdoor toys, cages and chairs outside. Inside you are greeted by what sounds like carnival music. I have to say all the items in this store are organized, although its a bit crowded and dusty. They have everything from furniture to jewelry. I noted several ‘jungles’ of huge live plants as we walked in, a cage with doves and a cat in a ferret cage. Hmmm… I guess they were the owner’s pets? An old dog was walking around the store room. Looked old enough to be a ghost. Ha We bought an 8,000BTU air conditioner for $ 139 and some Hot Wheels for 50 cents each. I might consider going back if I’m in search of another appliance or toys.
