Harold’s Prize Package Store

Yesterday was my first time at this amazing place. I have lived in Topeka for 6 years and I had not heard of it til recently. I’m sad I didn’t start coming here sooner. The food was amazing. Amazing. I have told everyone I come in contact with about it. I can’t wait to try breakfast!

Prize package is probably the best cheese burger place in Topeka, but their delivery charges are ridiculous!

What is up with their phone? I call and get a busy signal so call again and no answer. I am trying to take advantage of their delivery now but it’s been well over an hour since I placed my order. I can’t get a hold of anyone so now I’m forced to go down there and see what the hell?

ok gotta update, there is jus something about this burger, its the fat kid in me i guess, but they are GOOD ! the kitchen is still a mystic place no one may never know about. i went there a few weeks ago and i kid you not, a guy was walking down the street with a gun in his hand… was it real? who knows? i jus saw the silver and black gun and i left. i will be back tho.

The Prize Package IS open til 7 pm, Monday through Friday and, YES, we do take credit cards. We have asked the staff at Unilocal to change this information but are told that it can’t be changed.

Prize Package is kind of a mix between a burger joint and a convenience store. The ordering/​waiting area is very small, and fills up quick pretty much every day. They have a large variety of food, between burgers (which are very cheap– 1.80 for a regular hamburger), thick-​cut fries, cauliflower, hot cheese balls and a whole lot more. Definitely a lunch spot if you can wait a few minutes.
A few tips for someone wanting to check it out:
The regular cheeseburger has a LOT of cheese, so just get a double. Balance it out.
The funnel cake fries are delicious, in a very unhealthy way. One of my favorite things on the menu.
You can get 2-​liters for less than 2 bucks, lotto tickets, pork rinds, pickled eggs, Chapstick and a whole lot more. If this is going to be your one stop of the day, it’s not a bad candidate.

Named one of the cleanest restaurants in Topeka with no health code violations in 2013! Their burgers are great, but they do not accept anything but cold hard cash. This is usually a put off for me because i never carry cash on me. That being said the food is great, and worth it.

If you don’t know about prize package then you are missing out! My advice is to call in your order ahead of time or you will be waiting for 20 min. But they are oh so worth the wait!

If you are ever stuck in Topeka Kansas and you want a good burger head down to Harolds Prize Package the burgers are worth the wait. small patties but they fill you up. I actually fought a dude for eating my burger… Good times

All I can say is Harolds Prize Package is the bomb I love this place! We will travel from the West coast anyday for this place. My family loves this place it will surely be a nice treat. The cheeseburgers are the greatest and the cheese balls and the oakra balls.

I’ve had burgers from Harold’s twice. It’s a great ‘downhome’ burger — smaller patties with mustard & pickles. This place and Chuckburger are the best in T-​town in my book.
