Mediocre is what best described this location. Staff are lacking in training and basic knowledge of the product. The food is dry compared with other KKC locations. Lol, it closed since I initially started writing this review… Unfortunate I really liked having the location and was hoping they would do better. Can’t get boudin worth eating around here, and those balls were about as close as one could get to it. I think it’s about to become another Poncho’s or some kind of Mexican food place. Hope it’s 24 hour too.

Went there for the first time. Fans were everywhere. Not sure if there is an a/c issue or what. Floor was sticky in the dining area. I got a three piece meal. Two wings and a very small breast. Chicken was OK. Biscuit was good, but left me wanting more, too small. Red beans and rice were very good. The girl at the register was very nice, great future for her. Probably return to try other items.

Meh. Considering the lines that they had for weeks, I thought there might be something really special going on here. There isn’t. It isn’t bad, per se… but I can’t say that this is anything more than just mediocre fast food fried chicken. I had the Cajun chicken strips. I didn’t really get much, if any, Cajun seasoning though there was a slight heat going on there. The fries weren’t as pictured. They were wedges and you could probably get better from the freezer aisle at the grocery store. The boudin bites were interesting. Lots of kick but absolutely no texture. Think wet bread dressing mixed with dirty rice that is formed into a ball and then fried.(And by ‘dirty’ I don’t mean unclean. Just referring to the dish called ‘dirty rice’ which I love!) Strangely enough, I really liked the biscuit. It was akin to a dropped baking powder biscuit. Probably the best part of my meal. Watch the parking lot if you visit. Potholes.

This place is not ready for business. I’ve been in line twice at 6:30 and the line is halfway around the building. They’ve closed while I’m in line and won’t take my order. This was Friday and today.
