I went to Tallgrass Immediate Care because I was having a lupus flare. I needed a steroid injection. I told them all this. I also told them I wanted a female provider. I’m a domestic violence and sexual assault survivor and am more comfortable with a female. I could hear them at the nurses’ station from my room poking fun at me, saying things like I «must enjoy soft delicate hands.» The provider then went on a wild goose chase, testing me for all sorts of things. I complained to the acting office manager, who was very compassionate and professional. A few days later they called me back with test results, and said since it wasn’t all those things, it must be the lupus and to see my rheumatologist. Uh, no kidding. I won’t be going back there.

I’ve been here a handful of times, but this last time was the worst. I had a wait of about 1.5 hours in the waiting room before making it to the room to be seen by a doctor. Then there was another 45 minute wait in which the nurses were loudly chatting about new shoes and the lunch that they had catered in earlier that day. I realize that there can be downtime for people at the workplace but my fiancé was very ill and having to wait such a long time when there did not seem to be many people waiting in line at all was very irritating.

I went to this urgent care office because I needed a doctor’s note to get blood work done elsewhere. The wait was at least 40 minutes. I’ve since moved out of state but I keep getting billed for blood work even though I never had blood drawn at any time there! I called and complained. They said they would fix the problem but I have continued to get bills and letters.
