The hard drive on my 3-​year-​old MacBook Pro abruptly died after I attempted to download the free upgrade to Os X Mavericks. I took it to the Apple Store, where they told me that it would cost $ 160 for a new hard drive, and all my data was definitely toast — not that that matters, because the Apple Store doesn’t even have the capacity to attempt any data recovery. It would also take at least a week, if not longer. I was headed out of town to visit my parents in Topeka the next day, so I declined their help, and crossed my fingers something better would come along.
TBS Electronics to the rescue! For $ 120, I got a new hard drive and FULL data recovery OVER NIGHT. It was so fast and so easy, and their Apple specialist called me personally to talk to me about what was going to happen to my computer before he did anything. I sincerely hope that I never have this problem again, but if I do, I am definitely taking it to TBS!
