I don’t eat here enough, it doesn’t look special but very good. Sweet and Sour Chicken Hot Minus or Tai Minus heat is a great dish!

Love their chicken pad thai, pineapple fried rice, and their money bags are to die for! The sauce that comes with the money bags, that are comparable to crab ragoon, are just absolutely amazing! By far the best we have ever had!

Oh boy, do I love Tup Tim Thai. I don’t live in Topeka anymore but would actually drive over an hour just to come back and have lunch at this place. The food is excellent. Easily, the best Thai I’ve ever eaten. I usually get the money bags as an appetizer and they are phenomenal. The soya bean sauce noodles are my favorite choice for lunch, but I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu, and can tell you that you really can’t make a bad choice here.

Food is very average and the service is slow. My pad Thai had all the flavor of styrofoam. Very few veggies in the noodles. Others were more satisfied with their dishes. When you are the only game in town, you can get away with anything.

My friend had good things to say about this place, he was excited to take me here. He mentioned how sometimes they go on vacation to Thailand and just close and lock up and patrons have no idea it’s coming. That may be the sign of a good place because they’re still doing very good business anyway. However I’m not impressed. I had the yellow curry and it didn’t taste like curry it was just… Bland yet a little bit sweet. Not like curry should taste.

The best Thai I’ve been able to find in Topeka so far! The Panang Thai is very good. I had the chicken pad Thai and it was excellent. I ordered it medium and that was plenty spicy for me. The décor is nice. The service has been good. They are located in what used to be a Shoney’s restaurant back in the day. I would give it 5 stars if it weren’t for the price. They are a tad expensive for what you are getting(rice noodles, bean sprouts, egg, chicken, scallions, and Thai spices). They have plenty of other menu items, to choose from. This would make a nice place for a dinner date. I can’t say it would be good for young kids.

Enjoyed my dinner here at TupTim Thai! Money bags were hot and crispy. My Mushroom Lovers hit the spot. Cause I do love. Nice staff, comfortable surroundings. Good prices! I’m coming back next week for more.

The food is amazing and I order a Pad Thai hot with egg rolls on the side to go. This is the second one that I ordered and was waiting in line to pay when they continued to take the checkouts first even though I was in line first. They usually have two lines going. Last time my food was cold and soggy. Today it happened again. I was in the line best to the door and was waiting patiently for over 10 mins. She handled the person in front of me then I figured I was next. The other side had no one. Then a group of 10 people or so spitting a bill came up and she started helping them. I asked if she could just check me out real fast since I have to go food waiting. She said no I am helping them now. I said keep the food then because I do not want cold food. So I left. I was not going to have a $ 10 lunch be soggy again. Today was the last straw. Unfortunately I think this will be the last time I get a to go order until they can handle the volume they do at lunch.

Low quality ingredients and lack of taste: Everything else was OK except the food! Good servers and nice restaurant but food quality was very substandard!!! The seafood Mix that was recommended had nothing but artificial crabmeat! In the green curry that we ordered was too watery and absolutely no flavor or taste at all!!!

The food was decent, but the server we had seemed to ignore My family while taking care of the family we came in with. Took me forever to get our drinks, only seemed to come to our table when she was bringing food or refills. Once we asked for something, she left immediately without checking to see if anyone else needed anything. I was disappointed since I had been told it was such a great restaurant.

Still one of our favorites for consistent food. Friendly hosts. Service can be hit or miss once you sit down, but the busboys stop by frequently to refill drinks or pick up plates. Our money goes towards money bags every time!

The food is a little on the pricy side. I had the fresh spring rolls and the Tuptim passion, they both taste alright. I like the special seasonings taste they put in the Tuptim Passion dish, it’s very different. However, I was expecting the food to be a slightly bigger portion, but I was able to finish the whole dish and still not all the way full.

I love how fresh the food is. I love the curry dishes, soups and pad thai. Some of the best Thai food in my travels in the mid-west. You don’t go here for ambiance btw, you go here for good Thai.

The green bean lunch special I had was tasty but it wasn’t Thai. Portion was rather small too. Would have ordered an appetizer if I knew the entrée was going to be that small. It’s hard to find good Thai places in the Midwest.

I love Topeka, the number of local, not-chain restaurants is so few that when asked about a place like Tuptim Thai, people will either say«What’s that?» or «I go there once a week.» There’s not that much in between. This place is fantastic! As other reviewers have stated, the moneybags are great, the different curries are on-par with any other place I’ve been to(and, surprisingly, I’ve had quite a few curries beyond the Midwest at this point), and staples noodle dishes like the Pad Thai are very well done too. Definitely not a place you expect in Topeka, but that makes it a local gem that I’m glad to support. This review only rates a 5 because the service is generally slow which can be really disastrous if you’re in a bit of a lunch rush. Otherwise it’s worth the wait, but still, an important point.

I *LOVE* this place and probably go about once a week at this point. For Topeka, it has the best authentic Thai food and the service is always great. Yes, they get extremely busy, but there’s a reason for that and you’ve got to be patient sometimes. One of my favorite appetizers is the mango spring rolls with chicken. Absolutely delicious! Money bags are also great! My favorite go-to entrees are the panaang curry and chicken thunder(get it with extra mushrooms!). The soups always taste great. I just cannot say enough about this place. If you have a love for spicy Thai food and want an authentic taste, GOHERE.
