Although the project did not start off so well and, we had some communication issues. Gibraltar Pools and the
owner Rick really did come through and, in the end made us VERY happy customers who will highly recommend
Gibraltar Pools and, the Topsfield, Ma, office. When Rick heard the issues we we’re having, he was on the phone
with us daily. With in a few days, we had 2 great guys Tony & Mark at our door willing to stay as long as it takes
to correct the issues. Their pool school was amazing ! Answered every question we had to our complete understanding.
And, being 1^st time pool owners, our question were many. Tony would not move on to the next question until we
were completely comfortable. Tony & Mark were not only very knowable of their product but, extremely nice and,
professional. It was a very positive experience. We have been using our Gibraltar Pool about 1 month and absolutely
love it. We have had many family & friends over to see/​use the pool and, all have been just as impressed as we are.
We look forward to many more great summers with our pool and, great relationship with Rick and, Gibraltar Pools

i want to start out buy saying that doing business with these folks was a real pleasure .
everyone there was very helpful especially Dave who came to my house to see if my yard could accommodate a pool i was interested in, he had taken measurements and advised on the location of the pool he is also in the military and does this part time for Gibraltar pools ,

Peter who is the owner of the of this second Generation business is a great guy and showed me around his beautiful showroom his dad who started this business was a military veteran also and peter likes to do special things for vets .
i had placed an order for a pool but had not looked into the financing, i placed a deposit down and signed a contract with this company .
once i started looking i found the best way to buy this was with an equity loan, it had the best rates. because i own a business it take me longer to secure the loan maybe 3 months.
This company was very understanding about what i had to do and released me from my contract and refunded my money promptly .
I looked at some of these reviews and have to say i had a great experience there and when i am ready this spring there is only one company i will be doing business with ‚
Gibraltar pools

I remember a commercial they ran a few years back with Howie Carr — «These things are built like tanks!» Howie doesn’t lie. We’ve had our Gibraltar Pool for close to 10 years now. When the pool went in, the crew chief, I think his name was Greg, explained how he prepared the ground for the installation. He also recommended a couple of things I could do to make sure I didn’t have any issues down the road. Well the pool went in and life got busy and I never did get beyond getting estimates from the landscaping company. Flash forward 9 years! I had some erosion near one corner of the pool that had nothing to do with the installation (my yard is a bit wet and has poor drainage — I have a weeping willow not 30 feet from the pool). The pool pad started loosing some sand from under the liner and we started seeing a dip in the liner. When we checked out the outside of the pool we could see the bottom support channel was like a 12 foot bridge from wash out from my poor drainage. The pool hadn’t budged and it was rock solid. I called the Gibraltar service department, spoke with Jay and someone was out at my home in three days. The technician, took a look at it, explained what would need to be done and that Jay would be back in touch with an estimate. Jay called later that afternoon with an estimate, which I felt was very reasonable for what was involved, and the technician came back the next day and completed the work that was needed (which didn’t include ANY parts). The same landscaping recommendations were made to me this time and I called my landscaper and he was out three weeks later to perform the work (which included installing a small retaining wall). I couldn’t be more pleased with my Gibraltar Pool and the folks over there. The pool looks great even after all these years, my kids have had countless hours of fun with their friends (and us) over the years, and when you think of it — I needed one service call in 9 years and it was my fault — I wish I could say the same thing about my cars. I love these guys, I couldn’t recommend them more. Can I give them 6 stars!

I called USA Swim in Topsfield MA to inquire about a liner for a Gibraltar pool and they were very rude. They asked for my name and address and personal info. I respectfully declined and told them that I did not want to be on any mailing or contact lists. The insisted I said no thanks I prefer to be off the grid, their was a pause and they nice lady asked me a few more questions about who I was, while she was checking her caller I.D. vs. her customer contact list, once she relized that I was not the original owner of the pool… she hung up on me!
I would not do business with this company they are only interested in selling you a new pool the service is poor and they are very rude. The reason they ask «Is this a used pool?» is because they think you want them to honor their phoney warranty. I own a used truck and a used motorcycle and my house was previously owned, but Chevy, Harley, and Home Depot are all happy to sell me parts and help me repair their product. It’s just good customer service to stand by your product, no matter who owns it. Gibraltar’s problem is that they sell their pools with a «Lifetime Gaurantee», that is more like a limited warranty. For the $ 18,000 price tag on their pools, they should be, «At your Service» no matter who you are. I own a used Caddilac and when I pull in for an oil change at any GM dealer, they treat me like royalty even though my Caddy is 7 years old. Why, because my shiney 7 year old caddy with 60,000 miles on it is a rolling billboard for their company and they know it. They are proud of their product and happy to keep it running.

P. S. I found a new liner on EBAY at JMS Liners for half price, same quality and it fit like a glove.

They keep calling me over and over — I don’t own a pool. Don’t want one, don’t plan on buying one. Jerks.

Last year (July ’07) we bought a pool from Gibraltar. We had heard good things about them., we even called a few of the references they gave us. Well it turned out badly. First they told us that the water level would be 4′+ … turned out to be 3′. We specifically asked them about the decking. Would it get hot in the summer? «Absolutely not,» they told us. There are many days that we have to spray the decking down with cold water so that my kids don’t burn their feet. Yes, it gets that hot!
I have been on the phone with Gibraltar consistently since the pool was installed. They tell me that the sides of the pool are 4′ so they could never have told us that the water level would have been that high. Also, they have been telling me that they have been working on trying to find some type of paint for the deck that would make it cooler. They never seem to «find just the right one».
So save your hard earned money and buy a smaller round pool from a local dealer… we wish we had!
