Customer service is nonexistent but you’re coming here for the cheap prices, not the white glove handling. My cashier lady was pretty nice though! I always love going here for gift wrapping, gift bags, and little toys for stocking stuffers. They do a 2 cards for $ 1, and they have a wide selection of birthday, graduation, thank you, and anything you want. A much better deal than spending $ 4 on one card at hallmark! There is a large assortment of gift bags, and I’ll come here to load up on gift bags of various sizes for $ 1 each. Some of them are even packaged in 2bags for $ 1. Cheap bags of ribbons, gift wrapping paper, ribbon bows… you’ve got all your gift wrapping needs covered. They even sell clear tape! I’ve seen people shop here for packaged foods and there is a fresh fruits and vegetables section in the back, but I’ve never bought anything from that area. However it looks reasonably fresh!

Busy, packed full of products and inexpensive treasures. Get past the solicitors at the front entrance and enjoy the experience. I usually know exactly what I want and it’s usually something for a craft I’m working on, but every now and then I’ll peruse the produce and take advantage of the offers of the day. Always annoyed by the«beeping» check stands — every time the checker scans an item, there’s a beep. Must be some sort of reminder to the checker… just to make sure they scanned the item. One of the few south bay locations that’s a decent shopping experience.

Stopped here on 8 – 16, if it is possible the bathrooms were even worse than the last time I was here. I took photos but they would nauseate you. Crap on the toilet seat, literally, brown crap… no toilet seat covers, no hand towels, water and refuse all over the floor. Maybe I should just stop drinking water while I’m shopping so I wouldn’t have to go in there.

Decent 99 cent store in the southbay area, I always thought this was Redondo Beach, but apparently it’s Torrance — still a nice one & it isn’t far from Redondo Beach anyways. It’s big, they have a lot & it’s popular and can be crowded, but the check out goes fast or they’ll call another cashier. No complaints, although they tend to have people there set up to ask you for money for their cause. And yeah some panhandling :( But I still like this store and will continue to shop when I’m in the area.

I’ll say this is a good safe location for a 99 Cent Only Store, it’s in Torrance near Redondo Beach with plenty of free open parking in the lot. The store itself attracts local neighborhood residents, so is a somewhat reflection of the community, i.e. it’s not so much ghetto as some of the other 99 Cent Only Store locations. They do carry a lot of «seasonal» items perfect as «disposable» décor for every occasion. Here is it early September, and they already have $ 0.99 priced items for October’s Halloween; November’s Thanksgiving; and December’s Christmas too! If you have a summer BBQ party, a Birthday Celebration, Graduation, Valentine’s, Easter, etc. — - this is a good go to place, especially if you have kids or like decorating the office affordably. Other than that, there’s lots of useful household items to buy here for everyday life and living. The food items are hit/miss, but they do carry both name brands and knock off ones too. It’s worth checking out, and is also kinda cool to find«gag gifts» too, where you’ll see some of the oddest items, by look and name.

The cleanest 99 Cents Store I’ve ever been to. I’ve been to many of their locations in LA and this is far by the cleanest and organized one. I had to tell the manager and she was so happy with my compliment lol. Come here on a Sunday mornings to get freshest(is that even a word?) fruits and vegetables. Yes, they do have produce and they’re actually pretty good. You just have to come on the right day to catch them fresh. This location also gets a lot of popular brand named food such as Sara Lee, Kraft, Kellogs, Starkist, Betty Crocker, Pillsburry, Best Foods just to name a few and the expiration date is not until next year. Oh and my favorite is the baking aisle. They have all kinds of candy sprinkles that would’ve cost over $ 3 and up at Michaels. Just sayin’ lol.

I come here pretty regularly when I need to pick up things for cheap. Mostly for snacks or school supply items, and little impulse-buy knick knacks that I could probably do without. I like the convienience of this store, being that its cheap and close to my house, but I wish the employees were friendlier and more eager to help. Every time I come here, the employees always seem bored or angry and that doesn’t really encourage customers to return. Maybe that’s something for management to look into. But, despite their attitudes, I’ll probably be back here soon to buy more things I don’t really need.

Drove past this place a few times and finally decided to drop in. I love dollar stores and a 99 cent only store sounds even better. Every penny counts! Parking is free. I couldn’t believe how much they packed into this store. If I lived near one of these, I’d be here every day. Spices, drinks, bath/shower products, frozen foods, vegetables, holiday decorations, party supplies, car products, laundry products, baby items, snacks, gardening things, etc. They have it all and long aisles of it. I love that they have drinks and snacks that I’ve never seen before. They also sell bras, undies and clothing. Ok, so maybe I wouldn’t buy clothing from here but it’s nice to know that this place offers clothing for 99 cents. Times are rough now and people need all the help they can get. Everything’s kept neat for the most part. Employees are friendly and quick. Shelves are fully stocked. It seems that most«dollar stores» these days are adding items on the shelf that are more than a dollar. NOT here. In fact, there were a bunch of things that were under 99 cents. Some items were less than 50 cents. They also had deals like, 2 items for 99 cents or 5 for 99 cents. Oh how I love this place. I wish these stores would open up in more states.

This location on 190th has been here FOREVER. I’ve only recently been going in here pretty frequently, and I must say, I always find something. I actually enjoy looking for good deals, on name brand things. I honestly hesitate(with good reason) to buy from a brand I’ve never heard of, when I’m at the 99 Cents store that is. The cereal section is pretty decent, there’s always a few name brand breakfast cereals for 99 cents. Today, I picked up a box of Post Shredded Wheat and Multi Grain Rice Krispies. I notice they frequently have 99 cent cans of Chicken of the Sea tuna available, which is good to know. I love my tuna. I also picked up a bar of dark chocolate and a 3-pack box of Orville Redenbacher Natural Popcorn, which is what I was looking for. I was VERY happy to find that item. The store as a whole is surprisingly clean and well kept. Just make sure to check the expiration dates. The employees aren’t anything to rave about, they all seem to hate their lives, except maybe for one. I will keep coming in here, I’m always happy when I find some good stuff here.
