If I can put a zero start I will do it, the owner is very unpleasant to talk after two months they never call me and when I came he said that this is a favor when I have already pay for the service, do not use them, and the way hat treat his employees is the worst

Yup I got the bad one… So if you scroll down you will see everyone who has a 4+ review had a chance to work with Joe. Anyone who had one star… Well that would be Robert. I was unlucky enough to get Robert.
I got this huge 65″ TV from my friend for free… It is 3 – 5 thousand dollars everywhere on line so I though «dang! I will fix it right up and make a ton»! I popped the back open and found the problem wasn’t what the manual had stated. I then took it to Brent’s place. I spoke with Robert, we went back and forth and then I mentioned I had a kid. He then started to tell me about his daughter dating «a black» and how he was so upset and all this. Needless to say I was shocked. I couldn’t understand why anyone would say this to a stranger. I just wanted to leave. I had already paid the 35 $ fee for an estimate… Or diagnostic. (You’ll understand the confusion later).
So 6 days later I get a call from the Tech who had been working on my TV. Very nice guy. I think he said his name was Joe. He seemed to know what he was talking about. He told me they had to send the part that was bad somewhere and get it fixed and then they would have to get it back and put it in. The place that would fix it would charge 260 and he said he would charge 140 (to put a part in)… crazy pricing! I assume while googling it they saw how expensive this TV was and tried to take me for a fool. Maybe not. So I told him let me have a bit to think about it. That is a high price. So I took a couple of days and I thought I wonder what the problem was… I actually went on ebay and found almost every part for the TV there each under 50 $. So I called in and again spoke with Robert. I asked if I could talk to the tech. He said «No». He goes on and on and on and on… About nothing that really makes any sense. He’s talking about his job and how Toshiba sold to the «bad guys» and that is why he doesn’t like them. He tried to explain that they need to send the part off to get it fixed. So I said «well do you have a part number, maybe I can look it up» he says «no we will not give you a part number» then continues to say «We have looked everywhere for this part and cannot find it. we have to ship it out and get it fixed» So I am thinking well if you can’t find it what is the harm in giving it to me. As i started to say that BOOM interrupted. I was getting more and more angry by the second. Robert says «the tech is right next to me and he says we have to ship it out» I say «Can I talk to him? he is right there» His reply «No». So I say «why not» and he doesn’t ever give an actual answer. So after he spat whatever crap he could come up with in my ear I said «what was the 35 $ ffffff» BOOM interrupted (the 35 $ that I was told was a diagnostic fee… which means they should hand me a paper that says this is exactly what is wrong with your tv… Which means they should be give me the part number! Ahhhhh… odd how that works right?). He starts talking louder «You need to pay 100 $ deposit today» I said I just want to talk to the tech he is right next to you. he says I cant talk to him on the phone that I would have to come in. This phone call sucked!!! He starts to tell me «Look, I am not a tech, I don’t really know about TVs» So having the perfect words I said «If you don’t know anything… Why don’t you let me… talk to the tech… who actually… does know something!» His response. Again was no. Then told me I need to pay 100 $ I said look Ill pay it right now if you let me talk to the tech. He again said no. So I said ok then I will not give you my business. Told them to put my tv back together and hung up.
Later I called again to make sure I could pick it up tomorrow. What is this?! A new voice was on the phone. Oh thank god!!! It was Joe! not the tech Joe but a second Joe! I told him what happened and he was very apologetic. HE IS A NICE GUY!!! I recommend to the owner that he puts Joe on full time because I almost told Joe that if he handled my TV and not Robert that I will pay for the fix, but I only want him on my case. The only reason I didn’t was because when I went in to pick it up Robert was still there… I guess just talking to co workers.
If you got this far I applaud you! Moral of my story:
Call after 1pm. Go in after 1pm. Joe starts at 1pm. If you get Joe you’ll be leaving 5 stars. If you get Robert you’ll be leaving one. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO YOUR REPAIRS AFTER 1PM!!!

Absolute morons.
Rude.
Did not do the job they were hired to do.
I would’t let these people touch anything I value.
What ever happened to customer service? Doing a professional job?
Save yourself a lot of grief and take your business elsewhere!

I called a few people to come out and service an older 36 inch Sony XBR wide screen TV. One of the amps had gone out.
Joe was very responsive with great service. He let me know when he would arrive and called me during the day to let me know his status.
Once he arrived, he was very thorough and reasonable in his pricing. I would highly recommend using Joe at Brent’s Service.

Received excellent service from this team! Dropped off my tv, picked it up fixed the next day. No complaints

My panasonic 50 inch from 2011 (TC-​p50) just decided to stop working one day. Although it would power on as indicated by the LED, the screen just wouldn’t turn on. being cheap, I looked online to see if I could figure out what was wrong with it. After all, it would blink 13 times when I tried to turn it on which I learned was an error code pointing towards the A-​board as the problem. Nice right? But wait a second, after procrastinating for a month or so, I went back to have a look and now, the LED was blinking 14 times! Plus when I looked on forums online, there was mixed info regarding what the real issue was. It was at this point I sadly determined that I’d be better off having someone fix it.
Looking on Unilocal,in this area, Brent Service Center is easily one of the more highly rated places. I did see a few bad reviews but they seemed to be the minority and mostly related to long delays when dropping it off at the service center versus dealing with rude customer service. I figured I could avoid the issue of dropping it off by scheduling in-​home service. Regarding dealing with rude customer service, I get what the other reviewers were saying as the person I spoke with at the center didn’t seem like the friendliest type although to be fair, he wasn’t necessarily rude. It was painless to schedule service and the following day, I got the confirmation call in the AM that they would be by between 4 – 6.
A little after 4, Joe dropped by. What a great guy. Humble, down to earth, and unassuming. I showed him my TV and based on the model, he immediately guessed what the problem was. Loose screws causing shorting of one of the boards (that’s maybe oversimplifying it). Sure enough, when he opened it up, that’s what he confirmed on his testing, which he happened to explain step by step since I was interested. He quoted me a VERY REASONABLE PRICE, answered all of my questions WITHOUT talking down to me (you know how that happens for example when you get you car serviced), and stated he would be back in 2 days after repairing the defective board (instead of replacing it, which would have cost much more).
I got a confirmatory call today about the service time between 3 – 5 (haha, again, from a non-​rude but non-​friendly guy) and sure enough, a bit after 3, Joe showed up again and quickly installed the board, again explaining what the issue was and walking me through it. He even talked about what other issues were common with my model and how likely it was that it would stop working again in the future (unlikely thankfully after his fix). As soon as the board was in, the TV worked beautifully. Then, being the nice guy he is, he helped me bring it upstairs from the garage!
So there it is, a great experience all around. I got my TV fixed in just 2 days AND for a great price! That beats trying to do it myself, doing it wrong, and spending way more. As far as the complaints I’ve read, I think most can be avoided just by scheduling in-​home service and just asking for Joe if possible. Granted, you’ll pay a 35 dollar service charge (if brought in, this is applied to the cost of repairs but not so for in-​home service), but from what I’ve read, this seems to be worth it as you just deal with Joe who was exemplary and as your TV stays at your home while things get repaired or ordered.
I for sure would call this place again for any service repairs either on this TV or any of the others I have! Uhh again, I’d ask for Joe though, haha.

I think I understand why some of the reviews are 5-​stars for excellent customer service and some are 1-​star for rude customer service. It just depends on who you may be (un)lucky to get on the other side of the phone line.
I called to schedule an appointment. I spoke with Joe who was very polite and explained the appointment confirmation process which consisted of a 9:30am phone call the day of the appointment. He also gave me the costs and reassured that the tech they would send out has decades of experience so he has no doubt they would at least be able to diagnose the problem. We set the appointment and he took information down for invoice purposes. Based on this call, I was expecting 5-​star treatment and a fixed TV.
On the day of the scheduled appointment, we never got the 9:30am call, so we reached out and spoke with a Robert. He very rudely told us we did not have an appointment, there is no availability today, they’re very busy, and he doesn’t know what happened, but Joe isn’t in the office. As we tried to determine if there was alternate availability times, we hear Robert tell someone else, «Can you believe I have to deal w/​this?» so we tried to bring back his attention and he said, «Oh, you’re still there?»… um, yeah, but not for long because then he hung-​up on us.
Giving him some benefit of the doubt, maybe he accidentally hung-​up on us, I called back. He then put me on hold for more than five minutes. I was about to hang-​up when he picked up the line and continued to speak to me as if I somehow did something wrong, as if it was my fault they had a mix-​up with the appointment. I calmly explained to him the last conversation I had with Joe so that it was clear we set the appointment and I’m not crazy. All the while, Robert kept interrupting me telling me my invoice was in a «hold» file and not a «call» file. He lied, saying it was put on hold last week, when the initial call was just made yesterday. He then told me he could set an appointment for another day/​time, at which point I simply said, «No, thank you, let’s just cancel the order,» and he replied, «Yeah, let’s do that.»
… seconds later, Robert called back to say they could accommodate the original appointment, but we declined. Why would we want to work with them after that experience?
A Joe Sheppard (different than the Joe that took the appointment) then immediately called back to try to determine what happened. I explained and he got Joe-​from-​the-​counter on the line who apologized for the mix-​up. I felt bad for him, because he really was great over the phone when we initially made the appointment and the sincere apology is all it would have taken to reschedule. Mix-​ups happen, but own up to them. Don’t take it out on the customer… potential customer… no-​longer-​a-​potential-​customer.
I want to give at least 2 stars to acknowledge Joe-​from-​the-​counter. I should also commend Joe Sheppard’s effort to try to make it right but, he can’t take back the insulting attitude we received from Robert. In the end, I still have a broken TV and will need to go elsewhere to fix it.

Forget the Geek Squad –Brent’s Service Center is awesome. Joe came in
found the problem and fixed my tv. Why would anyone call the Geek Squad their
prices are sky high and they only care about making money. Joe was so nice and knowledgeable and on top of that helped me fix what I thought was a broken Blue Ray-​it was
just wired incorrectly. He also rewired my tv so I can buy a new BLUE RAY with WIFI-​so my
daughter can watch netflix on the tv instead of her IPAD. JOE –thank you. I would 100 percent recommend Brent Service Center. THANK YOU.

Joe was fantastic, he came over to mount a TV and what really made him fantastic was how patient and understanding he was with my friend. My friend is very indecisive and didn’t know where on the wall she wanted the TV mounted, Joe went over her options for placement and addressed all her concerns with the patience of a saint. After he was done mounting the set and making minute adjustments, my friend was thrilled. Additionally, Joe is just a real nice guy!

I own a 60″ Sony flatscreen. No picture, no sound. My wife used Google and came up with Brent and their Unilocal reviews. In the back of my mind I am thinking they were the guys I called a couple years ago when I had the same problem, so I give them a call. The following is the conversation.
Me: I have a 60″ TV with no picture or sound; the lamp light is lit thought.
Them: What model is it, I need the model number.
Me: Well, you were at my house a few years ago, so you should have all the information.
Them: I threw away all my past records [recently].
Me: Oh, no records. That’s nice, let me climb behind the TV and get a model number.
**I get the model number and they eventually discover that they have the part in stock**
Them: Can you remove the [some name] unit and bring it down?
Me: Wait; what? You want me to take my TV apart for you?
Them: Well, it is only four screws and [something I don’t recall]
Me: So, where is it located?
Them: Well, you will have to use Google and maybe Youtube to find it. It is different places on different models.
Me: Okay, I will find a repair shop.

It comes down to this, if I wanted to do a DIY television repair I would take a class at Devry. I can only hope that I am mistaken and this isn’t the same place that helped me last time.
Now, to find a real TV repair service that makes house calls.

They misdiagnosed my TVs problem. I payed 130 or something like that. Then I had to take it back. It took them more then a month to call back and tell me the issue with my TV, and told me it would be an additional 200. I told them to just fix it. A month and a half later they hadn’t even touched it. Always gave me excuses and when I’d call they would say someone will have to call me back. Nobody ever did. It happened at least 4 times. They’re swindlers !!!

Called for service on my Mitsubishi 40-​inch television that wasn’t producing any sound. Made appointment for home and was called and confirmed time frame on day of service. During service call, went through methodical trial-​and-​error to find and solve the problem in a very timely manner. Not just a bunch of technical jargon to confuse me. Was able to have the sound go through auxiliary sound bar. I had a coupon for a percentage off, but I decided not to use it because I was so pleased with the response and quality of the service call. I didn’t want them to feel cheated, nor give the impression that I wanted discounted service. Thanks!

Service call is $ 35 and goes to the cost of repair. I wanted to get a new TV and my husband said lets see if it can be fixed. We called told them the problem gave them the make and model and Joe came out and fixed it in just a few minutes. We have a great TV and I am so glad that we were able to just have it repaired. We saved money not having to buy a new TV. Thanks Joe!

Fatastic busiess. My Sony XBR is way too big to lug into a shop. Joe came to our home, quickly diagnosed why it wouldn’t turn on, and fixed it right then and there for a very reasonable price. Couldn’t be happier with the service we recieved.

Brent TV Repair is the best. I have gone to them at various times over the past 10 years and have always had the best service at a great price. Joe is awesome!

Good service at reasonable prices. Called on a Tuesday, first available appointment was that Thursday. Joe, the business owner, showed up, I helped him take my 50 inch plasma off its wall mount, lay it down then watched as he took about 20 minutes to unscrew the backing and diagnose the problem (broken capacitors). he took maybe another 30 minutes to replace the capacitors, put the tv back together, then re-​mount the plasma.
Overall, a very satisfying experience. I intend to give Brent’s TV Repair all my future business and I’d recommend him to anyone.

Took my TV last year, right before Super Bowl and never saw it again! Every time I called there was some excuse and they would never call back! Still haven’t told me anything to this date. Thank you for the service. That was dripping with sarcasm.

Joe is amazing! He came over to fix my Mitsubishi DLP TV and the problem was deep in the light engine. He fixed it perfectly and this was a tough fix. Most repairmen would have walked but Joe was as tenacious as a pit bull and got it right. The TV has never worked better. I can’t recommend him enough. His prices are very fair so much so that I gave him an additional $ 25.00 just because he is that good.

My 47″ TV broke a few weeks ago for some reason no picture was showing up it only had sound dropped off the TV here to have them look at it and diagnose it on a Monday they gave me a call a few days later letting me know what was wrong with it. They fixed it the same day I told them to go ahead and do the work it was ready for pick up the same day.
They charged me $ 35 to diagnose the TV if you do the repairs through them they will credit the $ 35 towards the repair services. Did an awesome job and hopefully the TV keeps on working they also said it had a 4 month warranty through them for the repairs they did on my television.
