Amazing tent company! Helped with my wedding because of last minute rain! Ah I love Choura! :) I’m so thankful one of their reps came out the day after I called to look at the venue and then the next day had another guy come out to do the technical measurements and the next day the tent was up! Super thankful! Would definitely use again!

We had our wedding last Saturday and about two months before the wedding we realized we needed lighting!!! Joey and Sandy were extremely helpful helping us in such a short time frame. They were quick to give us quotes and suggestions. They worked with us to make sure we had the best deal and lighting possible. Our bistro lighting (string lights) were perfection. I asked Joey to make our night magical and he did just that. I can’t thank them enough for such a wonderful experience. Thank you!!!

I’ve used Choura Events twice. Once for my engagement party at The Grand in Long Beach and my husband and I thought they did a pretty good job that we used them for our wedding reception as well. Well, at The Grand, the staff there act as a middle person to getting down everything you want, the choosing of linens, all the details that are important for your special event in a timely manner. Having them deal with Choura for us, was a breeze. Dealing with Choura directly was a mess! Our rep was «Joey», our first meeting with him was good, we told him what we were looking at as to what we wanted. Joey said he was going to email the estimate. A week goes by, no email. And it was like this all the up to the week before the wedding. Where we physically had to go into the office only because we had to give them money. And then we ask about the wedding cake that’s included in the package we chose, and he tells us to go to the bakery we wanted our cake from and tell them Choura sent us. The weekend before the wedding! Then come the morning of my wedding day, I get a call from Joey saying they haven’t received the final payment. Way to start the day of my wedding. Try calling the groom a few more times before you call the bride. Thankfully everything worked out in the end. And the reception was awesome. It was just the leading up to it that was a little rough.

Choura was on time with delivery and pick up of the tables and and chairs for my holiday party. They had bar height tables and nice red tablecloths at a great price. I highly recommend them.

Choura helped me to create the perfect tents for our convention — a 12K sq ft Trade Show tent with viewing terrace, and 3 connecting clear tents for our themed receptions. Their service was exceptional, they were always accessible, and they cared about the event as much as I did. I appreciated their attention to detail! Would not hesitate to call them again.

Star 1 & 2: My rep, Sandra, is great.
Star 3 & 4: The guys showed up on time and worked efficently to get everything set up.
Star 5: They went the extra mile and worked with another vendor to resolve an issue with the power supply and hung a large banner. A supervisor even showed up (name escaping me at the moment) just to check in.

We hired Choura Events for our wedding catering because of their affordability but the most important thing was the taste of the food as well. I couldn’t believe the value I got for their service. A full staff, 3 entrée Buffett, plateware/​silverware/​glassware, coffee/​tea/​water, and 2 bartenders all for approximately $ 6,000. Their braised beef, and carne asada was amazing along with their chicken. Our guests were complimenting the food and wanted to go for seconds. Our wedding contact was always available for questions and concerns. I highly recommend Choura Events!

Choura catered my wedding and they were great!
I started my consultation with Lisa who then left the company and then I worked with Abbi. The transition between the two consultants was seamless.
Abbi was fantastic to work with and worked with my schedule. I actually never met either Abbi or Lisa in person so I can vouch for their ability to capture details and my «vision» working completely remotely.
Juan Carlos was our server the day of our wedding and he was great. Very unobtrusive, prompt, and courteous. He made sure all the beverage glasses were full. :)
As far as the food goes, it was really good! I was surprised as I did not have high hopes for the food since I find most wedding food to be blah. But the food was extremely tasty and most importantly, served warm (food had to travel).
We also rented flatware and chairs and everything was in great condition.
I high recommend Choura as a wedding caterer.

I’ve had multiple sports banquets catered by Choura Events, weddings of friends catered, and private birthday extravaganza’s catered by them too!

I eat lunch at The Grand, every Monday with the Long Beach Executives Association, and they always serve a great, fresh and tasty lunch. The menu’s are varied so you don’t get tired of the same old same ol’. The staff are so great! We’ve had the same servers for 15 – 20 years. That tells you how well Ryan and Jim Choura treat their staff!!!
If you have a Major event coming up, or just want to give your significant other a night off for the small party, CHOURA EVENTS is the company to call!

We rented table covers, 8′ tables, white wooden chairs, kid’s table and chairs. The event was on Saturday and everything was delivered early on Friday and picked up on Monday. Table covers were nicely pressed and very clean. the white wooden chairs were pretty beat-​up looking and very slippy so it folded if a kid was sitting on it. It’s only made for adults. A few kids almost got badly hurt sitting on the folding chairs. they only have bright blue color for kid’s chairs. My kids are both girls so blue didn’t go wiht the party colors but it actually looked ok…

I got to attend a New Years Eve party in Long Beach that was put on by Chora Events. They did an excellent job of creating a high end atmosphere that was still cozy. The bar tenders were awesome and I especially liked the gas powered broken glass fireplaces. Great staff, great atmosphere and great party!
Will use again in the future.

I used Choura Events for a fashion show I held at my salon last April, this review is long overdue!!! They were wonderful, they came out and help me decide what I needed and how to build a stage and runway. They even suggested a backdrop to make it look more presentable and I am so glad they did. They showed up promptly to set up and because of the wind the backdrop was flying but they fixed it and it held up the whole event. Everything was clean and perfect!!! The price was also very affordable, I would definitely use them again!!!

I’ve used Choura for several years now — for large events and for small — and they are always professional, on time and arrive with the product I ordered. They are very flexible about last minute changes and knowledgeable about how to execute successful events. I recommend them all the time!

I recently produced an event in LA for several thousand attendees. Choura won the bid with aggressive pricing then executed flawlessly. The best recommendation I can give is «I would use them again without hesitation.»

These guys are great! Our high profile events require superior tents, furnishings and professional installers. Choura Events always comes through. Our recent Grammy event required extensive attention to detail and Choura’s VP, Howard Tabackman, oversaw the entire production and made sure the installation and strike ran smoothly. This time was no different — Choura strikes once again with their Food Tasting Party replete with flower, photo booth, DJ vendors as well as their own air of oh so coolness décor. Choura puts these sweet awesome events for all their clients. This is the 2^nd free event — the first one was awesome too. it was like going to a club on a weeknight… shhh =)

The lounge? Snazzy Snazzy! Plush sofas and ottomans for guests to hang out.

–mini beef wellington, crab cakes, ahi tuna appetizers
–salad, salmon, cordon chicken, shrimp scampi, roast prime rib (cut and served for you)

cakes — thank you to Great Dane — we got free cake tastings of red velvet, white cake and lemon cake.
chocolate fountain with desserts (strawberry, marshmallows, cheesecake, rice Krispies)
the bar? oh yes, free too. :)I tried out 3 of their drinks — excellent. best I’ve had. :) Loved the Japanese Garden one — green tea, sake and grenadine syrup. I made sure to eat first so I wouldn’t get tipsy. :)
i could go on and on about the coolness of this event (the chairs, the linens) — but suffice to say that at the end of the day, Choura definitely knows how to party. ;) and super cool people too. Ryan Choura’s got a good team behind him.
