My daughter has been in the infant room at First Lutheran since Nov 2011. She is now 19 months old and is thriving! Our experience with First Lutheran has been very good. I decided to switch her day care when she was 4 months old. The first place she was in made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable. They had a bunch of swings and bouncy chairs, and every time I was there at lunch(to breastfeed), most of the kids where either in cribs or strapped into a swing or chair. My daughter was only in this other place for a month and I got her the heck out. First Lutheran is the exact opposite of that first place. There are no swings, no bouncy chairs. There’s a play structure built into the room itself and a lovely outside COVERED play area. The relief I felt at switching my daughter to FL was immediate and immense. I could tell that the ladies cared about her; they were always on the ground playing with the babies or reading to them. It’s now been over a year, and I’m still very, very pleased with the care my daughter gets. I know she’s safe and happy and well-cared-for.
