I’ve taken a few of their classes at the Huntington and think Casey and Kit are terrific teachers — highly recommend!

Casey was really sweet to work with, very knowledgeable and always was willing to work within my budget. I met with her several times at her studio and she sent me home with examples twice, at no charge. This helped a lot because I was able to visualize the size of centerpieces and how many stems it would take to fill it. The flower combination in my bouquet and the bridesmaid’s were really pretty a little bit too peach-y for me, as she knew my colors were blush, aqua and soft pink, but they stilled looked okay. She also added 10 white peonies to my bouquet at no charge. I do have to mention that were a few things I noticed the day of my wedding… First off, I indicated that Wayfarers did not allow their flower girls to throw flowers so Casey offered to make her a decorated basket for $ 10. However, there were no flowers attached or anything inside. My flowers girl had no flowers in her basket. I also noticed on my bouquet and all of my bridesmaids’ as well, that the ribbon that wraps around the bouquet didn’t go all the way down the length of the stems like you see on most bouquets, which made it uncomfortable for me to hold. At the reception, I took a look at the centerpieces to see how they came out and they were very beautiful, except we had specifically agreed on a certain amount and type of flowers and I noticed there were no ranunculus like we agreed on in our emails. When I informed Casey of this after, she mentioned that they were too orange for my color pallete so she replaced with 3 extra peach tiffany roses at no charge. Lastly, when it came time to throw the bouquet, the flowers were no where to be found. We used one of the bridesmaid’s. I later found them in a vase on the cake table, this would of been helpful to know before hand. I left the throw bouquet here: ______. Also, the mothers were suppose to have corsages not boutonnieres. Casey kindly responded to my review and explained the miscommunications and other hiccups. I do appreciate her honesty and willingness to resolve my concerns. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again.

I met Casey at her studio in Torrance and instantly felt like I could trust her. She listened to all of my mom and my ideas(even if we contradicted ourselves) and absorbed the big picture of what I wanted my wedding day to look like. She then provided her input and so many creative options I had never even considered. On a visit closer to our wedding date(we are from Texas and our wedding was in California), Casey provided a mock-up of my centerpieces so I knew exactly what to expect. My flowers turned out BEAUTIFUL and I could not have asked for a better vendor partner. What I appreciated most was her ability to tailor to our needs. We were on a tight budget so she made her best effort to recycle everything we had. In other words, once our ceremony was finished, she moved all flower décor and incorporated it into the cocktail hour/reception. Everything was used to its fullest. Even my bridesmaid’s bouquets were put into small vases to display at the head table instead of additional costly center pieces. She also incorporated items we provided her. We had long strands of crystal we didn’t know what to do with and she added it as a focal point of our altar at the ceremony. After the ceremony, she placed the crystal on cocktail tables for some extra sparkle. It’s just SO nice to have full trust in your wedding vendors. There were a few that I worried about, but I can honestly say that Casey was not one of those people. She was the easiest to work with and delivered the perfect product. I just wish I still lived in California so I could attend her floral workshops!

It was a great pleasure working with Casey from Flower Duet. She did an amazing job decorated our wedding reception and made fabulous bride’s bouquet for me. She was very easy to deal with, very responsive via email and ready to accommodate our last minute requests. I would highly recommend Casey’s service to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding decoration. After the wedding the flowers lasted about a week decorating our home. It’s a flower arrangement made with love.

Today is our 46th wedding anniversary. I called Casey a couple days ago and asked her to box 46 roses. When I picked them up today I was amazed at how wonderful she had arranged them. She put a lot of work and effort into making them look fabulous. The roses were long stem, fresh and flawless. My wife and I were very pleased. I highly recommend Flower Duet Florists for all your flowers. Not only are the flowers beautiful, but Casey is a pleasure to deal with.

I am an event planner in the Los Angeles area and my review is two fold: about Flower Duet’s classes, and about their wedding florals. Their classes are outstanding, and the flower mart tours are fascinating and educational. What sets Casey and Kit apart is their phenomenal expertise about the plants themselves; it’s as in depth as it gets. Casey has also trained me on various floral designs and has allowed me to provide more value to my clients as far as depth of knowledge about mechanics of floral pieces and types and seasonality of flowers. Secondly, I have referred Flower Duet to multiple clients — I have lost count of how many. Every single client has been thrilled with their florals! From chuppah and arch treatments to centerpieces for 300+ guests, they are versatile, reliable, and have a great team. Clients are also blown away by how fun and informative their consultations are. Client satisfaction is the only way I’ll be able to grow my business, so using great vendors like Flower Duet is important. They’ve never let me down and I can’t thank them enough!

Last weekend, I took an informative and fun flower arranging class and tour of the Los Angeles Flower Market with owner-sister duo, Casey and Kit. To start off the day at 7am, Casey led our group through both HUGE sides of the LA Flower Market in downtown with ease. She was incredibly knowledgeable about all kinds of flowers, greens, and accessories including vases and pots. After about an hour and a half, Casey let us explore on our own and I purchased a small orchid from one of the main vendors. Around 9:05am, we hopped back into our cars and drove to their huge 4,500 sq. ft. warehouse in Torrance. Luckily, there was not much traffic so we arrived in 40 minutes. After parking in the ample parking spaces outside the warehouse, we entered and met Kit who taught our class on Dahlias & Zinnias that day. Unfortunately, the Zinnias ended up not being a part of the class, but the Dahlias were beautiful and the greens including Eucalyptus and berries were great. Kit instructed us well and led us through each step of creating a beautiful arrangement. The only gripe I have is the assistants were a little stingy with the greens and I had to ask multiple times for more to fill my arrangement. However, all in all, I would recommend this class to anyone looking to learn more about flowers and the art of flower arranging. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes as you’ll be walking throughout the market and the class is held around a large table where you stand for over two hours.

Have taken two floral design classes at their Torrance location and they were so informative and fun. I took my Mom and sister and they loved the experience as well. So calming and borderline therapeutic! The first class I took focused on «winter whites» and we got to design a beautiful centerpiece with hydrangeas, roses and other fillers. The second class was part of their Wedding Series and focused on personal flowers(floral crown, boutonnière, corsage). The only thing I wish would’ve been different with the second class was the scheduling. The class was from 6:30−8pm, but many of us were there until 9pm finishing up. Nonetheless, the owners didn’t mind staying a little over to give us tips on how to make our pieces look great. I’ve also done the Flower Mart tour and this is really great as well. Only need to do this one time if you want to know some fun facts on flowers and where the best vendors are for different types of flowers. Plan on continuing growing this hobby of mine and attend more classes in the future!

As a Wedding Coordinator in the Los Angeles area, I work with many different florists. I HIGHLY recommend Flower Duet for a many reasons. #1. These gals know their stuff! If you have not gotten a chance to take one of their LA Flower Mart tours, I suggest you sign up. Sister team, Casey and Kit take lots of time getting to know their clients, their needs and the desired look they are going for. Their flowers are very tailored and personalized to each client. Nothing is cookie cutter. #2. Their work is beautiful and lasts. You know you have hired the right florist when a week after the wedding the flowers still look fresh and new. #3. The pricing is right on point. They use flowers that are in seasons, available and have long standing relationships with growers. This keeps the costs down and they pass the savings on to their customers. I will continue to recommend Flower Duet to my customers because I know they always deliver quality products with a smile! As I write this review, I am reading a review from E S. on my sidebar… I hate to give an establishment less than 4-stars, just because I know how much Unilocal provides customers to their business; however, I was not completely satisfied with my day of wedding flowers. So, as an honest reviewer helping those who are planning a high-cost, once in a lifetime, wedding, I would not recommend Flower Duet. You do get what you pay for and if I was to choose again, I would have went with the pricier florist… But, we were on a budget and we were looking for specific flowers that would cater to 180 guests. Fault that I take. Flower Duet has many different services. As I read other reviews on my sidebar, it seems like they are great for a flower arrangement class and smaller events. For my wedding the following items were not accurate on the day of: –My bouquet was not as I had specified in meetings with no greenery and wrapped in satin ribbon all the way down to the bottom with pearl pins at the bottom. –My Bridesmaids bouquets were larger than mine… *I made the mistake of having them add to my bouquet and it was way too large and heavy. I should have just had them take away from the BM bouquets, but in my haste I regret that decision. The flowers cover my dress in pictures. Now, once I get my pictures back from my photographer there may be other issues that I didn’t notice and there may be things that I really liked that Flower Duet did; however, today those two items are what I am really thinking back on. Mostly, because I have gotten a few pictures back from my photographer and I am not happy with how my bouquet turned out. That bouquet was supposed to be a memento and it is going to be in a lotttt of pictures… Overall, really nice people. Communication was a little spotty, can’t say I was thrilled with response times. Flowers were our only décor for the wedding, I hope they look amazing in our pictures…

Flower Duet was reccomended by our wedding planner. I browsed over their instagram and was a little weary but trusted our planner. I sent Casey pictures of exactly how I wanted things. The day of, so many things were wrong with the flowers. — my bouquet fell apart before I walked down the isle — I had sent pictures of statement bows on the bouquets, the«statement» bows turn into little gray strings. — floral design going down the isle was wrong — they«forgot» to cover the top of the chuppa which impacted our photographers photos seeing as we have weird sun lines from the structures –My husband had 4 different boutineers between the time he got dressed and walked down the isle. His flower didn’t come close to matching anything in my bouquet — I had asked for boutineers or corsages for my mom and mother-in-law, day of they had measly bouquets. If I think of more I will add to this review. My advice is to spend an extra grand and take your business somewhere else. Disappointed is an understatement.

I took a flower arranging class, Summer Roses, at the Huntington Library today. Kit and Casey were great! I learned so much in just 2 hours and had so much fun! These ladies are so encouraging and down to earth. The class is very thorough and they explained everything clearly so I never felt lost or intimidated. I was so inspired during the demonstration on how to arrange the bouquet. You could really see the magic happen and you could tell that these ladies love what they do. So creative! I was thrilled with how my bouquet turned out at the end of the class, and I would love to take another class. I highly recommend Flower Duet to anyone interested in flower arranging.

I highly recommend Casey and Kit, the awesome flower team of Flower Duet. After I agreed to do the flowers for my daughter’s rustic wedding I looked on the internet to find somewhere to take flower arranging classes and was extremely lucky to find these amazing teachers in Torrance, very close to where I live in Redondo Beach. Loved taking these fun classes, and learned so much along the way. Started out with a tour of the Los Angeles Flower Market — a must for everyone. After realizing that I couldn’t possibly do as much as I originally intended, Casey and Kit agreed to help me with as much or as little as I needed. This was a huge relief! In a nutshell, they ordered all the flowers, had them delivered to their studio 2 days before the wedding. My husband and I started on the centerpieces that day, and the following day, my daughter, a couple of friends and myself continued with the centerpieces. Casey and Kit finished up with all personal flowers — bouquets, corsages, boutts and added their magic to the centerpieces, delivered them all to the venue and put together some very large arrangements on site. When I arrived at the venue, I was so happy and thrilled with the way it all looked — They made it spectacular! So many compliments from everyone! Casey and Kit really paid attention to what we wanted and helped create the most beautiful wedding ever — I can’t thank them enough. Can’t wait to continue with more flower arranging classes with Casey and Kit at Flower Duet. They are the best!

I know you may be thinking that an establishment that has only 5 star reviews can’t be for real! WELL, it IS when it comes to Flower Duet. After months of research trying to find a wedding florist, I had decided to try and do it on my own because everything was out of my budget and no one seemed to want to work with me. I started looking into taking a floral arrangement class or two so the flowers didn’t look like a complete disaster… that’s when I found Flower Duet. I emailed her my situation and she asked what my budget was. She was more than willing to work with me. We were able to save some money by doing a bouquet session with my girls where we made all of our own bouquets. These ended up doubling as centerpieces. Casey was there the entire time supervising us. It was such a fun experience with my bridesmaids! I can be pretty particular but everything turned out great! The wedding flowers were beautiful and within budget — delivered to the venue on time and perfect! Casey is a breath of fresh air to work with… so calm and sweet. I can’t recommend her enough. You will be so glad you chose Flower Duet. My only wish is that I still lived in Los Angeles so that I could take some of their classes!!!

So Casey from Flower Duet was an absolute angel. I booked her after finding Flower Duet online for my parents’ 25th wedding anniversary. She was so flexible when arranging up our initial consultation with my boyfriend and I, and walked us through the planning painlessly. She worked within our budget and gave us ideas as to how to reduce the cost. Casey showed up early to the event, and created the most wonderful arch and I was amazed she was able to create it within our budget because it was so lush. The centerpieces were perfect, and the bouquet and boutonnière for my parents were spectacular. She even provided an extra boutonnière for my dad in case his got smushed from all the hugging. My boyfriend and I are eagerly anticipating taking their tour of the LA Flower Mart and taking a class because Casey was just so wonderful! When the time comes, we’re definitely booking Casey again for our own wedding: D

Yay!.. just. Yay! My friend stumbled the Flower Duet online while browsing through blogs and arranged for a few of us to attend one of their tours of the LA Flower Mart. Surprisingly enough, I was thrilled to get up at 5am on a Saturday to go! We met Casey at the designated location and from 7a-9a she led us through the fragrant isles of the Flower Mart. Along the way, she gave us tips on how to pick the freshest bunches, arrange them properly and make them last as long as possible. Casey was SUCH a kind gal and you can sure as hell bet I’ll be attending one of her arrangement classes. 5 stars for good ideas and kind people!

Love Love Love Love their classes. You can attend a 2 hour flower arranging class and learn how to make your own boquet, center piece, and much much more. All the materials are provided, you just have to show up. Casey taught the class and was super supportive and open to any questions you had about flowers, upcoming weddings, and other flower shenanigans. A unique group of people attend the class-moms, florists, and brides. Good times and super fun!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Flower Duet, a floral design studio run by two amazing sisters. These ladies are custom florists who also offer a range of unique services including flower arranging classes(hand-tied bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres, round arrangements, wreaths, and more), tours of the flower district, and even a DIYDVD. While planning my wedding, I stumbled upon their website, and decided to take a hand-tied bouquet class, and that class did not disappoint. It was taught by Casey, and was so informative and fun! After you sign-up for the class, all you have to do is arrive at their studio, where they have the flowers and equipment ready for you. And by the end of class, you walk out with your creations. Casey is a fabulous teacher, and also gives advice on what flowers will work best for the season, location, and look of your event. After such a positive experience with the first class, I decided to take their corsage and boutonnière class, which I also highly recommend. Then, I even took a field trip with Casey – along with some other students – to the downtown flower market to learn how to select flowers, purchase flowers(yes, there is flower market etiquette), and get an idea of what flowers are available. Casey helped me pick out some flowers to experiment with. She observes the flowers you are drawn to, and can recommend others that will work with your preferences, or even show you heartier and/or cheaper alternatives, which is so helpful if you are trying to stick to a budget. Casey KNOWS her flowers, and will tell you what works and what doesn’t. Some wedding vendors make you feel ridiculous for attempting DIY projects, however Casey is not only supportive of such creative endeavors, but actually makes them possible through her expertise. Even if you decide that you don’t want to do your own flowers, Flower Duet is a custom florist and can do them for you. Bottom line: working with Flower Duet is a pleasure, and I highly recommend them. Taking their flower classes and going to the flower market have been the high points of my wedding planning.
