I wasn’t sure what to expect at first when I went in, but the workers there are super friendly and helpful. They’ll answer any questions you have and offer you lots of free samples, including suggested combinations of the sorbets and custards. The server gave me a sample of a pineapple, sour apple, and passion fruit sorbet combo and it was super yummy. I went ahead and ordered the sorbet cream with that exact combination and was not disappointed. They even give you a stamp card and you’ll get double stamps on rainy days. Nice! I know where I’ll be going the next time it rains.

Sydney & Martha were stand-out employees! Their bright and bubbly demeanor really made the experience for me; they were very helpful and let me sample all the different types of flavors they have and even suggested a few they liked. Overall, they have a variety of combinations imaginable of Italian ice; chances are if you’re craving for sweets they will have something right up your alley. And if you aren’t in to frozen delights, they also offer delicious crepes! I would definitely recommend giving this place a try to satisfy your sweet-tooth cravings, and maybe even a smile or two from the sweet staff. Try it or diet!

Unique! Love the italian ice/cream combo. We got a mango/passionfruit sorbet over the frozen custard and it was bomb diggity. The sorbet is flavorful and paired well with the creamy custard. Best of all, the service here is extremely friendly and they allow and even ENCOURAGE you to sample different flavors. Plus, you can choose as many flavors of the sorbet as you want! Very innovative(even though its basically sorbet with soft serve) since no one has really thought of that. Love and wish that there was a closer location to us :(

WooHoo! Turns out I’ll be the 100th review for this location & darn proud of it… Super super delicious! Besides all the employees there being extremely friendly with amazing customer service skills — (Major Key to any business to remain successful)…everything else was also great! THANKSGUYS! *ITALIANICECREAM/custard was so tasty!(I tried a bunch of samples). Fave were passion fruit & peanut butter! Give them a try. *CREPES are so fluffy and soft. Easy to cut with a plastic knife, not tough at all like some other crêpe places. Very tasty as well, added some butter, cheesecake & peanut butter to mine. YUM! Although the location is rather small as depicted in the photo, the employees are quick & efficient to take & complete orders so, there’s not much of a wait. I plan on returning as soon as I crave Italian ice at late night hours again… ;)

Frostbites takes sorbet to a whole new level! My daughter and I were invited back to try the Frostbites with the frozen custard underneath since their machine was broken on our first visit(though I’m telling you, the sorbet on it’s own is delicious!). In my head all week I kept thinking of those creamsicle pops I’d get as a child where it was vanilla ice cream inside and orange popsicle on the outside. So when we got to the store and the gal offered us to mix and match flavors with the vanilla custard — I swear I had rainbows flying out of my ears! THEN when she suggested the Chocolate custard and peanut butter, it was amazing! I’m a creature of habit sometimes so I went with the lemon juice and powdered sugar crêpe again and planned to take it home to eat but it never made it to the car. Lauren put some of her custard on the warm crêpe so next time we agreed we’re going to go big or go home! I loved actually watching them make the crêpe in the restaurant too! I don’t know how they make them so uniform in size and thickness! Next time, I’m trying a sorbet SODA! I know, right?!

I came here for crepes my brother for their sorbet cream(Italian ice/custard). Let me start by saying this place is tiny. It’s located outside of the Del Amo mall on the second floor next to Old Navy and Starbucks. Their are only 3 chairs to sit on along a countertop. Place can get busy. Lady helping us was friendly and gave us different sorbet/Italian ice samples to try. After my brother chose his she tells us the ice cream machine is down for 20 minutes so no vanilla custard cream just the Italian ice. Brother gets pumpkin and salted caramel Italian ice(popular combo). I order a crêpe with bananas, strawberries, Nutella filling with caramel and powdered sugar on top. After waiting, I see there’s no whipped cream with my crêpe(comes w/whipped cream automatically) worker tells me their out of whipped cream. The place still had another 3 hours before close. So their out of the vanilla custard and whipped cream. I was disappointed but was still hopeful for this crêpe. Me being the sugary person I am stopped at a 7⁄11 and bought some whipped cream. Crêpe was great and I finished it rather quickly. My crêpe was like $ 7 – 8 since I added several things. It’s nice to know that if I get a serious crêpe craving there’s a local spot saving me $ 600 for a r/t flight to Paris. Au revoir!

SOOOO happy they finally made a location right in Torrance, no need to drive all the way out to Cerritos for my Frostbites fix anymore! They offer a variety of things(cakes, crepes, etc), but I always stick with getting the sorbet cream. Sorbet cream — shaved ice with frozen custard(it’s soo creamy and delicious!) Sorbet chill — just the shaved ice by itself They’ve got a bunch of shaved ice flavors to pick from, and whether it’s your first time there or your 100th time, I’m sure their employees will offer you a million samples. They’ll show you all the best combinations(like the peanut butter shaved ice with chocolate frozen custard that tastes like a peanut butter cup) until you finally land on a decision! They’re located right next to Starbucks and across from AMC and open late nights til 11 pm/12am, so this is the perfect place to stop by for some dessert after a movie!

Finally a Frostbites opened in the South Bay area. As a first timer, I was pleasantly surprised at the great customer service once I entered. All the workers were friendly and knowledgeable about their product. They recommended so many different things, to the point where I realized the possibilities were endless. I realized it really would not have mattered what I got, it was going to be good anyway. The person helping me provided recommendations ranging from the sweet chocolatey and peanut butter combinations, to the fruity sweet or sour flavors. I ended up getting the Orange Crème with vanilla ice cream. It reminded me of those 50⁄50 orange crème bars. Definitely can’t wait to come again and try another combination of flavors.

Craig Y., Tim C., Kym B., Jennifer N., and I happened to go to this branch of Frostbites during the Soft Opening. It was triple exciting for me because: 1. I rarely go to soft openings. 2. It’s located in a really cool, multi-level mall — the 5th largest in the USA(per Wikipedia)! 3. There is no Frostbites in Hawaii where I’m from. The Del Amo Fashion Center, in Torrance, CA, is such a great location. My friends told me that this mall is newly renovated. It looks modern and sleek! How appropriate for a hip dessert place! Staff were very friendly, cheerful, patient, and helpful! They offered us many samples, explained how to order, and gave us examples of popular combinations. From what I understand, there’s two choices: Sorbet Chill(like a thick slush) and Frozen Custard(like a soft ice cream). When you combine the two in layers, it becomes Sorbet Cream. You can be as creative as you like and never have the same dessert twice! It was a bit crowded inside the shop(which is upstairs near the theater), so we sat outside on the wooden lounge chairs. Parking was free in the large lot. There’s also a 4-level parking structure at this mall. Tip: remember to get a Stamp Card! Enjoy and Repeat!

It’s like they’re all on some happy pixie dust crack. Frostbites’ employees are known to be like that; über friendly, super talkative, and extra helpful. By no means am I docking them for this. Hell, we shouldn’t overlook this treatment we get when we walk into a Frostbites establishment. My first experience was at their Cypress location. Same cheery attitude there. It’s become a staple of their business. I’m glad they opened this location and I have a feeling they should do quite well. This particular store front is tiny. There’s not much seating going on so be prepared to get in that long line, grab, and go. The reason why the line may seem like it moves like a snail is because they encourage you to try many of their flavors. Not only that, our server made different combinations of flavors with their frozen goodies for us to try. From peanut butter Reese’s Pieces inspired mixtures to tart popsicles style. You almost feel bad hogging up the time. But how can you get mad when the workers are the ones pushing samples. If you’re going to roll your eyes waiting in line, then make sure you don’t get offended when you are given 8 samples and the people behind you start to mean mug. Don’t worry, they usually have more than enough workers behind the counter. Organized chaos best describes the situation After sampling a variety of flavors and mixtures, we went with there ever so popular passion fruit. We decided on a large to share. Passion fruit, taro, infused with the vanilla soft serve swirl. I thought that’s all we were getting until our server suggested we should do another combo ice flavors on the top of the cup. Pineapple and coconut it is. All that in a large cup for about $ 5 something. The soft serve ice cream is real creamy and thick(get out of the gutter). The Italian ice is subtle yet flavorful. I like how it’s not overbearingly sweet and works as a great counterpart to the ice cream. Keep in mind, you can do the ice cream swirl mix with Italian ice or get them completely separate. The Italian ice by itself would be slightly cheaper. Personally, you can’t go wrong with the passion fruit. They do say it’s one of their most popular flavors because it is legit. Don’t worry, you can probably sample their entire freezer before you have to make a decision and you won’t get an evil eye from the workers doing so. They also sell crepes and cakes but I have yet to tap into that. Don’t forget to ask for their stamp cards and if you go when it’s raining, I believe you get double stamps. Keep up that superb and enthusiastic customer service and we’ll keep coming back!

An incredible experience all around. You can tell this place just opened because the workers are excited, friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic to create a wonderful and memorable experience. We sampled over a handful of things including fruity pebbles, reese’s pieces, captain crunch berry, piña colada, flintstones push pop, strawberry starburst… I ended up with their best seller which is passion fruit and mango sorbet with vanilla cream. Next time I will sample the sour gummy, sour skittle, jolly rancher and firecracker. If this option was in my neighborhood I would probably visit often. Yum

It’s about damn time! Now I don’t have to trek all the way to the OC. It’s only a hop and a skip away. woohoo! :) Unlimited Samples! The workers are so friendly and their recommendations are on point! Get the sorbet cream(layers of italian ice with frozen custard). Their frozen custard is creamy and not as thick Rita’s. The difference between this location and the others is the size. This store is TINY! No seating available, just grab and go. Located at the Del Amo Fashion Center next to starbucks(upstairs). Ask for a stamp card. During rainy days, it’s double stamps!

I’ve waited for a long time for Frostbites to open at Del Amo mall and the wait is finally over! No more going to the OC for these cool treats because they’re now in Torrance and right at the heart of the South Bay! As other Unilocalers have mentioned, this location is small. The location maybe small but their selection of their sorbet chill or Italian ice is not! They’ve got all the good flavors here from mango to strawberry lemonade to taro. The workers here are super generous with the samples and they’re very helpful with suggestions on what’s good to try! Do you like fruity or are you more of a chocolate lover, they are sure to have the perfect suggestion for you! I’ll be honest I was getting quite dizzy as far as what to get because every thing I tried was so good! I ended up getting the sorbet cream which is the most popular choice among customers. It is a combo of their sorbet chill, italian ice and their frozen custard ice cream. I got the taro with strawberry on top of vanilla frozen custard. I was in heaven at first bite! It’s such a good mix of fruity and creamy! It’s was the perfect cool treat for the hot summer day! When I came the folks working there gave me a frequent buyers card. Once it gets all filled up, you can get $ 2 off the next purchase. I ended up getting two stamps right away on the card. Hmm, I don’t think I’ll have a problem filling out that frequent buyers card… haha. (Haha Note: you will often see a girl dressed in Hello Kitty gear excitedly eating Frostbites at this location… yeah I think i’ll be a frequent buyer here hehe)

Checked this place out with some friends & was not disappointed. Samples galore ! Told the girl who was helping us out that it was my first time there & she gave me a million recommendations that all sounded really good. They let you try whatever flavor you’re interested in which is awesome because some places will limit you. Flavors are true to their name ! Get just the regular ice or add some custard to it for a creamier texture. They also make crepes as well ! The only thing is this place is kind of small so be prepared to get a little cramped when this place is packed. If I lived closer I’d be down here all the time but unfortunately I dont so whenever I’m in the area you can bet I’ll be stopping by !!

If you like brains freeze, this place is for you! Newly open during the summer of 2015. Surrounded by Starbucks, Jamba Juice and Frozen Yogurt, I must say this sweet confection has some stiff competition. However, this frozen desert have definitely has its own original twist. The must try in this place is the combination of half vanilla ice cream, combined with flavored sorbet or you could just have the sorbet itself. What makes this special is the selection of sorbet flavor, ranging from taro, mango, coconut and passion fruit. Overall this sweet treat is fun, fruity and shivering ice cold. Did I mention they have sorbet soda and ice cream cakes! Very yummy… Can’t get anything better than that. I have yet to try the waffle and the crepes. Hopefully they are as good as it looks on the menu. The prices are reasonable and the staff is great!(For now) Great go to place during a scorching summer day.

I cannot even begin to say how thrilled I am to finally have a Frostbites location so much closer to home. No more driving all the way to Cerritos! But as everyone else has stated, this location’s product is consistent in quality and taste. I love the customer service because they shower you with samples of different flavor combinations regardless of if you are a first time customer or not. I’ve tried pretty much every flavor, but my favorites are:(the«sour gummy worm» creation) passionfruit, green apple, strawberry lemonade, and blue raspberry; melonball, and orange cream. The only thing that sort of bummed me out about this location is that it’s not that spacious and they don’t have any seating! All they have is one standing bar table. When I went, there was no one else in the place, so space didn’t prove an issue. However, I can imagine on hot summer nights, it could get pretty packed. So that was my only negative thing. This is by far, my favorite dessert spot. I love Frostbites so much and I’m super excited to have one nearby that I can go more frequently! Don’t forget to grab a stamp card on your way out — you get double stamps on rainy days and when you fill the card up, you get $ 2 off your purchase! Don’t worry, Frostbites, I’ll be back soon!

*** GRANDOPENING6÷24÷1511AM*** Think Disneyland is the best place on earth? No, Frostbites is. Yes, I’m aware that I have a bit of an obsession. But there’s a reason why Frostbites is the best dessert place in California. Whoever came up with the idea of frozen custard(french ice cream) and Italian ice is pure genius! The flavors for the ice cream are vanilla, chocolate, or swirl. The flavors for the Italian ice are(and I know I’m going to miss some) strawberry, mango, passion fruit, orange, taro, cherry, margarita, raspberry, coconut, horchata, peanut butter, banana candy, watermelon, etc. You can get the Italian ice by itself(sorbet chill) or the ice and the custard together(sorbet cream). You get also get it as a drink(sorbet shake, sorbet soda, sorbet cream soda). They also have crepes. Here are some popular combos of the sorbet cream: –Sour gummy worm: strawberry lemonade, blue raspberry, passion fruit, and sour apple. –Cactus cooler: orange and pineapple –Piña colada: pineapple, coconut –Flintstones push up –Peanut butter w/chocolate custard –Strawberry chocolate –Jolly rancher: watermelon + strawberry –Neapolitan: Strawberry, with chocolate and vanilla custard. –Sour skittles: sour green apple, strawberry, and orange. Although, it tasted more like gummy worms lol –Berry captain crunch: strawberry, blue raspberry, and taro –Fruity pebbles: Taro + orange –Red Starburst: strawberry + cherry ANDMUCHMORE My personal favorite is passion + mango + strawberry with the vanilla ice cream Service is usually great, and they’ll give you a frequent buyer card. Once you fill it up, you’ll get $ 2 off next purchase. I think the Jamba Juice and especially the Tutti Frutti nearby will go out of business thanks to Frostbites. Also, I think the overall rating of Del Amo mall will go up because of Frostbites. Who wants to bet with me? ;)
