I came in here last night for a team party and they were pretty busy. The guy at the counter was so patient with customers and was so helpful with everybody. I think his name was Matt he’s a tall guy. It was great pizza as always

Lamppost Pizza has the best pizza I’ve ever had. I usually order thin crust and change it up on a regular basis. They have such a variety of unusual toppings, and the owner is a master chef. The chicken wings are the best on the market and a must for us when we order pizza. I also enjoy the salads, avocado sandwich and the spaghetti and meatballs. I often order ahead so I just go pick up and bring home, but it’s fun to order and then wait at the bar and enjoy an exotic beer or a nice glass of Pinot Grigio. Unlike many restaurants, Lamppost has long standing employees, and some of the same for the last 20+years I’ve been eating there. This is a staple restaurant in the South Bay. In terms of entertainment, it has several TVs with any game you may wish to watch, and a full room of games for the kids to keep them busy all night. Just bring your quarters!

Great food. Good pizza. A little overpriced, but horrible service from the start. Came with my family to celebrate Kobe’s last Laker game, and it was understandable that they were a little busy. No problem. We ordered a pitcher of beer, and the bartender decided to bring us one glass as if she expected one person to drink the entire pitcher. We got some plastic cups on our own from the front and she came very aggressively and told us that we couldn’t put beer in plastic cups. She took them all away(with the beer — $ 18 down the drain). We ordered more food and more drinks throughout our stay — half of which were forgotten. Highly recommend AGAINST eating here. Please save your self the headache and go somewhere else.

I love Lamppost I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. The food is great, it’s a nice and relaxed atmosphere. The bar has a nice selection of beers. It’s also probably one of my favorite places around to watch a game, but unfortunately they close down super early most nights. I can’t even watch half a kings or lakers game before they start putting up the chairs and closing down. It’s frustrating that a nice place like that advertises sports but you can hardly watch any evening games.

I went here to grab a slice of pizza for lunch. It was just OK. Nothing to write home about I was hungry and desperate. Been here before for company parties and had a good experience so pizza slice & soda it was! This is a good place to bring kids and have dinner. They have arcade games for the kids. Reason for the two stars: They had a B Health dept. rating on the window. Since I ate the pizza slice and noticed the B after, I decided NOT to check the LA restaurant health dept. website to see why they got the B rating. Look for yourself. You’ve got to be doing some icky stuff back there to get a B. Will come back after they literally clean up their act and get an A rating.

Geez weird reviews here. I have eaten here twice in the last 2 weeks and alot during high school in 94 . Both times me and wife said«dang this is good pizza» great place to hang after kids game season ends. We hung until closing and had the best spit ball fight with another dad and his and my girls. They have ipa beer, pizza and a basketball game to play. This place is way cheaper than most places independently owned and the quality of food is kinda high. Good salads, free soda and a Chicago pizza that’s friggen awesome. Bathrooms very clean. Worth every penny. Ignore all the reviews that are 1 –3 review only whores… they are not true. This is a Southbay staple. Go have yourself a good time

Cons: Came in on a Tuesday night at 7:45 pm. Stopped in for my birthday, off the bat the place started to close up and stack chairs. They close at 10 which is weird way of attracting customers. Asked if they had any specials and they said NO! They only combo they offered is at lunch time. I asked if they have any specials for birthday guest and they said NO and laughed. I don’t think they believed me but regardless if a customer mentions it’s their birthday it’s etiquette. Second we went to sit down and had to ask if I could sit in area where the chairs were stacked up so I could watched the NBA game. Another thing it took 10 minutes for me to find someone to increase the game volume. The person that helped was not happy with my request. Biggest REDFLAG !!! We wait 20 minutes and had no food brought out! Then 5 minutes later staff came out and said«oh sorry we forgot about your order. « We were one of the only customers in the restaurant ! Staff members offered us beer however we do not drink and brought garlic bread instead. At this point they didn’t offer us a refund and didn’t care at all that we were sitting there for 40 minutes without our pizza. Not once during this time did management offer apology and a refund. Once we receive our food another customer came in and all the staff went crazy. The customer appearance was not up to par and he did look like he was homeless. He was fully dress and didn’t break any rules. He order a slice of pizza. While he was finishing up the staff told him to leave and had two guys escort him out. Regardless of his situation they treated him like dirt. They were very judgmental and kept talking about the person in the corner. Pros: When we left a cashier jokingly said happy birthday. I don’t know if he was being sarcastic but it was a nice gesture.

The pizza does the job when you want a normal pizza. Wings were good and of decent size. Convenient and really spacious. Staff is friendly. Place is pretty old/run down, could perk up the cleanliness. Good ol’ neighborhood pizza joint.

We came here after baseball practice for a team meeting. We ordered the salad tub and 2 topping pizza. It was delicious. If you look online, there is a $ 10 off coupon for that combo. Our son liked the game machines. One of the kids won a $ 100 iTunes card as a prize. I had fun and the food was great. I’m sure I’ll go back again.

Ok. Let’s get this straight. I LOVETHISPLACE! They have really great, cheesy pizzas. This just might be my favorite pizza parlor! The staff are pretty nice, too. Really friendly at the counter and AND on the phone! They seem to be really hard working. The salads are usually nice and crunchy-but if you don’t like heavy dressing, I recommend that you ask for it on the side. One thing to consider — it has a «B» rating. To me, it doesn’t have much of a difference. Honestly, I really don’t understand why. Also, from my past experience, the pizzas are a little bit pricey. But it’s REALLY worth it! Overall, it’s a pretty good experience. They also have toy machines and a couple of games, which is nice for waiting kids. Yum!

Have not been here in awhile… The owner has moved to Long Beach… best suggest he come back and check his help and food quality! The pizza dough was really tough could barely cut it. Gave us mushroom instead of pepperoni which we ordered. Saved a piece for the guy who took our order so he could try it… his comment… I don’t like Hawaiian pizza(we ordered half pepperoni/Hawaiian). The when I told him we ordered pepperoni not mushroom he said he read our order back twice, it must have been the pizza makers that messed up. No apology or tried to make it right… immediately threw the pizza in the trash… instead of handing it to the kitchen perhaps for a further analysis. We are so disappointed, have gone there many years and loved it… now we are looking for a new pizza place… WEREALLYMISSTHEOWNER.

I love this place. Kids can play games and hang out and the pizza is actually pretty good. I ordered a salad and was awaiting a small side salad. It was a dinner plate that was over flowing with flavor. The prices were good and service was great. Will be back.

Great spot with the kids for good hot pizza. They have a small arcade area for the kids and TVs for the adults. My son only likes cheese pizza and he rated this a 11! Slice of cheese in the weekdays is $ 2.50.

Tried Lampost Pizza yesterday ! Had the pepperoni and sausage large pizza and it was great! The large pizza was so big we brought half of the pizza home. Had their wings and they were pretty good they just needed a little extra buffalo sauce. Other than that it was a great I liked the atmosphere !

Growing up, Red West in Wilmington was usually our family spot BUT the wait was ridiculous and the staff was a bit rude. When we moved to PV, Lampost was our go too. When I moved away, we stopped coming here but a few months ago, I remembered why we loved it. April 2014, Miles, Mini Miles and I decided to walk down Malaga cove. Locals know that the walk DOWNANDUP isn’t easy and works up one MEANAPPETITE. We were STARVING and when we drove by, I insisted on Lampost. I hadn’t been there in 10YEARS!!! Walked in and I had flashbacks of the last time I was here…2004 baseball season. Ahhhh yes… my DODGERS. SCREAMINGATTHEBIGSCREENWITHMYFELLOWFANS. We ordered a pepperoni pizza with a big salad. We came in starving… walked out STUFFED. Fast forward to two weeks ago. We picked up Mini Miles and like always stated he was starving. We brain stormed and Miles said… how bout that pizza place off Crenshaw. We high tailed it there. When you pull into the parking lot, it looks packed. When you walk in, it is BUT there are plenty of seating and tables. We order our pepperoni and single salad since Mini and I love salad and figured the pizza was way more important. Our pizza had to be redone and I figured it would just be redone. The staff not only hustled to remake it but REFUNDEDMETHEMONEY cause it was a mistake on there part. I was pleasantly surprised and STOKED. The server brought us back our new pizza and again apologized profusely. This past Friday we returned and ordered mushroom since for once I want to ATTEMPT to be good during Lent. Of course I had already messed up but that’s besides the point! Talk about a sea of MUSHROOM! Dude, seriously, talk about hooking it up with MUSHROOMS!!! Ahhh HEAVEN! The crust is awesome and its just a great pizza. Seriously, I love this place. The staff is great, especially the young kids. These kid’s have a smile on there face and are polite beyond words. The dude who has taken out orders every time is awesome and so is this other dude there that I assume is the manager and I wish I could remember their names but supporting local businesses is important to me. I would much rather come here than other spots that are commercialized and skimp out on ingredients. Thanks LAMPOST!

I recall coming here way back when I was in high school. It was more of a South HS hangout and being from North not my favorite part of town… I have rediscovered this pizza place over the past year and is now a must go to joint whenever work has a staff development. We head over to Lamppost for a pie and a pitcher. It is the only thing we look forward to on those days. The pizza is much improved since high school. I would say on the top five list for pizza in the South Bay. Most recently, my two teaching buddies and I split a medium with sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon and olives. The crust was perfect, crisp and chewy. I even ate the crust which I almost never do. Thus far, the best few slices of 2015. All of it washed down with an ice cold Coors Lite(nothing is as refreshing as an solid American beer; those overpriced craft beers have nothing on them) As long as we keep having to endure those staff development days, we will be visiting Lamppost. Will be back again.

I’ve been coming to this Lamppost for the better part of 30 years. I remember having my own youth team parties here, which made the idea of having a soccer party here for my daughter seem all the more bizarre. On this particular Saturday, there were a zillion soccer parties, so many that they had little open seating — which is rare. The staff did a good job of reserving our section, which was much appreciated. They make a good pie, be it their standard pies, or some of their more adventurous pies, ALL are good. In the world of pizza, you get what you pay for, and here, their pie is good, and the price can be steep, almost $ 30 for a medium loaded pie. On the drink side, they have a good craft beer selection(see my picture), it’s a fair price at $ 16 per pitcher. They also have salad and pasta options which are OK. My kids like this location because they have video games, and plenty of kid distractions. I like this location because they have a lot of televisions(&beer), except for this past Saturday where I saw UCLA crush USC, on several different televisions — that was painful. BUT, the beer selection helped ease my pain.

Fell in love with Lamppost all over again. Was there for a group event. The staff did a great job of reserving our section and putting out«Reserved» signs. Just had my new favorite pizza, the«Perfect Game»: mozzarella cheese, fresh garlic, basil, mushroom, tomato & artichoke heart. Veggie, yes, but totally hearty enough for a meat eater! Still held back from 5 stars due to the price. This medium bad boy was more than $ 26 with tax :(and there’s no discount if your kids demand cheese only on their half. Beer selection keeps getting better. VERY pleased that they had Torrance local Absolution Pale Ale on tap! Also Stone Arrogant Bastard and Green Flash West Coast IPA, good deals at $ 16 per pitcher.

What everyone else said. Decent flavors, but not quite enough toppings or size for the price. $ 30 for a Large Pizza

Meeting with friends for lunch. Great pizza with Beer, Wine or Soda. Good location on Rolling Hill Road and Crenshaw blvd. We had a delicious large pizza combo and pepperoni for the 3 of us. Lots of quality Ingredients they did not skimp on. Sausage, pepperoni, ham, cheese, olives, onion, no onion on ½, bell peppers on thin crust dough., all good! Plenty of parking shared with Ralph’s Fresh Fare in the other end. With other small stores also.
