So we came here for a graduation party… They were great at accommodating our party as it kept growing and growing… Jenny was a wonderful waitress… Give her a raise! Oh and we ordered two of the feasts which was more than enough to feed the gang plus so much leftovers which we had for dinner and had so much that the leftovers had leftovers… This might have to be our go to for last minute parties! Thank you again Jenny!

Everything in general was good. But that’s the problem. It was«just good». Nothing overly amazing or anything. I haven’t been here in 4 years before they got remodeled and relocated, but their biscuits and apple butter are the same: moist & delicious. The staff was friendly like I remember them to be, the restaurant was kept clean, and the food came out in a timely manner. The ambiance is a tad loud, and they usually have sports on their tv monitors. There’s not much to say, however, the meat in our appetizer platter was a tad dry, and the fried tomatoes were falling apart when it got to us. That’s the only thing that held me from giving it 4 stars. Overall, I would probably come here again if the situation ever came up.

Let’s talk BBQ! I’ve been to Lucille’s a number of times ever since 2010 but today was the first time I went since they renovated. I gotta say; the new restaurant is really nice and the patio /outdoor seating area is beautiful! Food: their portions are HUGE. I ordered from the lunch specials menu where the portions are supposed to be «smaller» but it was still huuuuuuge. I got the BBQ lunch platter w baby back ribs, pork & brisket w side of Mac and cheese + Mashed potatoes. The food is food in the moment but I feel like they use a ton of salt so I get so sleepy after! And no I did noooot finish the whole meal lol. Service: service was slow even though the restaurant was completely empty at 2 pm on a Wednesday. The servers were nice, just really really slow. Plenty parking in any of the lots.

Our waiter Johnny did a fantastic job with our party of 20 people. He made sure he got everyone’s drinks as soon as we seated. Took our orders and did a wonderful job at making sure we received our meals on time. This restaurant is lucky to have him The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is because my meal was tasteless.

This is one of my favorite BBQ restaurants. However, today I was served partially cooked quarter chickens. I had to return my chicken twice. The first was tough and pink inside and the second was still bleeding in the middle. The management responded appropriately by comp’ing my meal but their excuse was subpar. They said their chicken is normally pink because they smoke it. And I disagree. If the meat was cooked then why I am nauseous and feeling sick?

My pal and I stopped into Lucille’s after a long day of being nerds at the local toy convention and what a great meal we experienced. We pigged out on ribs of all kinds. The ribs had great sauce, were cooked well, but not overdone, and had a nice bite to them with plenty of meat. The sides — mashed potatoes and mac ‘n cheese that we experienced(carbs, carbs, carbs!) were great too. And the service was top notch. I’d definitely come back next time I visit the Torrance area.

I usually order my Cajun steak and shrimp or bow sautéed shrimp but I decide to try sown thing different. I orders the pull pork sandwich and I don’t not like it at all. There was no sauce just the bun and pull pork. Too bland no taste really. I will stick to my usual orders and continue to eat at Lucille’s over great service and great place to eat !

Always get the biscuits and apple butter! There two things are the main reason I even come to Lucile’s. The biscuits are warm and flaky and the apple butter is cinnamon-y, light, and airy. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries(clearly I’m not on a diet). They gave us so many fries that I couldn’t even finish the sandwich, which is quite unusual for me(also the sandwich was huge) ;)

fast food bbq that is overpriced. There isn’t much to say, that others haven’t. Drinks and food are pricey. The free biscuits and apple butter are so good and warm. I took the extra home! Salads are big, but mostly lettuce and not much meat. It’s not bad if you have a bbq food craving and I do appreciate that they had Belching beaver PB stout. The spinach dip appetizer was not very good. I’d stick with a bbq sandwich or more traditional bbq item here if you go.

Anybody reading this to make sure you come on Hawthorne Boulevard. I’m trying the bacon cheddar mac and cheese bites. And I think I’ll try the carrot cake because I was recommended. I’ll let you know Update carrot cake has raisins who does that so I’m trying a bread pudding. The mac and cheese was okay wasn’t Hood made but it was okay, now the red pudding thick caramel sauce definitely on point if you try that try the caramel sauce with it. Even though they were closing the service was still good at the bar.

Perfect for a large get-together, birthday celebration or that first date(get messy with those ribs & see if he sticks around!). I’ve been here a few times and loved their food – the new renovation has definitely hyped up the place to be trendy! I recommend sitting«outdoors»(it’s see-through glass) by the fireplace; the ceilings are high with beautiful lights which create a more fancy atmosphere. This past week for my brother’s birthday, we ordered the following… FOOD: * 10 ounce Beef Brisket(3.5 stars) –cooked medium well, tasted decent but not superior * Fried Catfish & Shrimp(5 stars) –crispy, fluffy and whole! The pieces fell off easily, with significantly large portions –shrimp were medium-sized, also tasty * Smokehouse BBQ Burger(5 stars) –cooked medium well, tasted much better than the Beef Brisket * Baby Back Ribs(5 stars) –Mac & Cheese as one side: the cheese on top was cooked to a crisp warm brown just the way we like it, whilst the bottom was tender! –Sweet Potato Fries as a side: your regular spf, but they were too salty this time around –Half Rack Ribs: perfectly tasty sauce, with enough meat around the bones for 1 – 2 people(I personally enjoyed the Memphis sauce along with it.) * Lucille’s Marinated Sirlion Steak(5 stars) –Mac & Cheese and Garlic Mashed Potatoes as sides: super filling & delicious –sufficient amount of steak for 1 person, cooked medium rare = perfection DRINKS: * Strawberry Lemonade(5 stars) –absolutely fantastic! Sweet with endless refills * Backporch Strawberry Lemonade(alcoholic) –not sweet or of superior taste but good enough(3 out of 5 stars) SERVICE: Always friendly and on top of things! Our most recent server provided a chocolate ice cream sandwich/cake for the birthday celebration, and always came to ask if everything was okay. EXPERIENCE: Never regretted a visit here. And of course, the biscuits with apple butter on the house are always a delicious delight!

We went back for lunch and it was beyond my expectations. Far better service, food quality and dining experience than the last time. It’s now my new favorite place for lunch with the family! Check out the lunch specials as all are a nice selection of Lucille’s best dishes. 2 plates were enough for our party of three and we are definitely coming back!!!

Updating my review solely on grounds of communication! Wow! The business manager reached out to let me know he would pass along my comments and concerns from my visit to the Torrance location! It’s really nice to see that big corporations still care about the individual consumer! Going to give this place another shot and really looking forward to having a different experience! Extremely impressed with upper management.

This place doesn’t seem to disappoint. 2nd visit and more incredible amounts of really delicious food. The highlight of this visit was the Chicken quesadillas… Cheesy and flavorful. It was the happy hour special, so it was just 2 quarters which was quite enough since I got way too much food for my entrée. My entrée was the fried catfish and shrimp with Mac n cheese, greens, potato salad and cornbread :-o. I ate only bites of my meal. The fried shrimp and cornbread was absolutely relish. Most disappointing was the fried shrimp. It just didn’t taste like much. The seasoning was a little light. Thanks for consistent good food!

I love their baby back ribs, but I was in the mood for a «healthier» option. I had the BBQ chicken(breast) salad with the dressing on the side so I can control the amount of dressing as most places swim the salad. I don’t recall reading in the description about fried onion straws… but I’m not complaining! Chicken was seasoned well, but dry. Not alot of corn. But for like $ 15 can’t complain since the serving is enormous 8″ diameter x 2″ thick. It could be split in 3!

A visit to the new location was a must(they moved maybe a 100 yards during the mall construction… that’s still going on by the way). The front hostess area was packed as was the parking so we knew there would be a wait. I meandered through the crowd, bypassed the hostess and marked time to the bar… tons of seating, we bellied up to the bar. Full menu, happy hour and swift, attentive service. Same menu, sans the gumbo which was one of my favorites, and sans the BBQ beef rib appetizer. Prices jumped a bit since last we visited. Biscuits are not automatically dropped on the table, you’re now asked if you’d like them. Good way to eliminate waste if you ask me. I got the BBQ beef ribs, mostly so I could take most of it home for leftovers. Good, meaty and messy. I like that Lucille’s has beef ribs on the menu, so often it seems pork is the feature. In any case, they were good with some extra«spicy» sauce, garlic mashed potatoes with a side of country chicken gravy and baked beans. I opted for a couple glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon instead of beer. Not sure why, I think I forgot that I like beer with ribs, but I have no complaints. It was all delicious. One of the details I like about Lucille’s BBQ is that the meat taste comes through, in other words, chicken tastes like chicken, beef like beef… unlike some BBQ joints who slop on so much sauce one can hardly tell what type of meat it is you’re eating. Thumbs up on that Lucille’s!

I had a few issues with this new location from my first visit. The service was slow and food wasn’t as good as expect. Im sure being at a new location they had re-tool their operations. The manager contacted me regarding my concerns and asked me to give them another try and offered me a gift card. I did take him on his offer and gave a surprise visit and did not use the gift card. My initial review must of got their attention because the speed of service and food had improved; furthermore, I also noticed better organization. Great job!!! The new location looks awesome inside with an open bar concept. This is a very popular so parking is terrible so be prepared to drive around. Thank you manager Bradly H!

For a chain BBQ joint, Lucille’s is pretty damn good! You can’t go wrong with the baby back ribs, bbq chicken, sausages, trip, and other mouthwatering offerings. The free fresh homemade biscuits with apple butter is a bonus! For appetizers, the rib tips are hard to beat! Go check out your local Lucille’s for some awesome Q!

Lucille’s is the best! We been here several times and their bbq is very consistent. Yum-mo straight up! The best deal is the family meal. The Backyard Feast advertises that it feeds 4+, but it easily feeds 6 – 10. It’s 2 full slabs of ribs, a chicken, 4(yes 4) sides and a dozen housemade biscuits. You even get a full bottle of bbq sauce. It runs around $ 150 for all of this glorious food. The ribs are cooked to perfection and the chickens are moist and tender. Nice char on it too. We ordered Mac and Cheese, Baked Beans, Garlic mash and corn on the cob. All so good. Lucilles can accomadate large parties of 20 or more as well. Have a birthday party with 20 of your closest friends and family, order a couple of these feast and I guarantee you no one will go home hungry.

Didn’t think I could give a chain five stars but I truly love their bbq. I’ve dined in and taken out from lucilles several times. My recent voyage here was on Thanksgiving. Lucilles was serving a traditional thanksgiving menu along with a limited version of their regular menu. I opted to get the baby back ribs w/beans and shoestring fries as sides off the regular menu and I have no regrets! First, ok those complimentary biscuits every table receives is so good. What makes it better is the apple butter that ones with it. The butter compliments the bread really well. My meal came out under 10 min after placing my order. I was skeptical because I felt that was too quick. So imagine how happy I was that everything tasted fresh and not stale or tough. I love sauces and their BBQ sauces are some of the best I’ve tasted. The mild one is spicy but it went perfectly with my ribs and dipping sauce for fries. I also like their banana pudding which comes in regular and jr sizes. They have happy hour and a variety of lunch specials as well. This location is moving virtually next door to a bigger brand new spot. The move will be complete Monday December 7th.
