It’s Mitsuwa Marketplace! They have all the little Japanese treats you want and a small little plaza with food and shops. It’s really busy on the weekends though. It’s impossible to find parking and people suck at driving(it’s a fact~!). Beware of dings to your car! If I’m in the area, I’ll come here for my favorite: Santouka ramen and some Japanese snacks because what could be better? Overall, it’s a good grocery market with the Japanese products you’re looking for!

I come here whenever I can to get some ingredients. I really like the selection it has and it’s much closer to my apartment than the large Marukai in Gardena. I highly recommend the Ramen store in the store. Very tasty. It’s cash only though, so be prepared.

Always happy to come visit this Japanese Market specially. The food are always yummy and glad to have tried the Obanyaki stall. Ordered some Red Bean, Red bean with Matcha and Custard. Pretty good and not to sweet. Just too much red bean though but all in all really enjoyed everything.

I’ve lived in Torrance for the majority of my life but interestingly, I haven’t really been inside Mitsuwa until recently. I’ve been to Japanese markets before but this place is absolutely fantastic! What’s great about Mitsuwa is that it has such a wide variety of delicious, Japanese food and desserts in the food court area. People would come here to socialize/catch up with friends and eat here during lunch time. It definitely gets busy during lunch hours! I’ve been here twice for lunch(one for tempura and the other for ramen) and it was so good and authentic! Everything is made fresh and you can tell that all the people working at the vendors really care about the quality of their food items. Every time I come here, I feel as if I’m truly in the street of Japan eating yummy food due to all the décor and atmosphere. Also if you have the chance, do stop by the Mochi desserts vendor and get some! It’s quite fantastic :) some places are cash only heads up! People also come here for the Japanese market and it’s pretty much like any other Asian market but cleaner haha. I do wish there was better ventilation inside because at times, it does get stuffy :3 though I’m glad to have discovered this place and it’s so close to my house! Wish I took the opportunity to really come here during my high school years LOL Will always be back when I have the chance. Really want to try some of their other food options: D

Grew up around this marketplace. I come for the food court, specifically the ramen. Beware of long lines during lunch hours. There is usually plenty of parking and tables for eating! Other than that it’s large, clean, and well lit!

Large Japanese products collection is the greatest. This Mitsuwa has more boutique shops outside the supermarket than the one in Santa Monica. They often organize tasting events in the store, which is awesome and great. Staff are super friendly. Parking lot is spacious and safe. I saw officials patrolling around day and night. It is more than a supermarket: dining court with all kinds of Japanese food, a cute Japanese bookstore, an official Shiseido boutique shop, several dessert shops and tea shops. It is hard to resist the feeling of eating, drinking, and shopping here. Always want to come back!

LOVE this place! One stop shop for groceries and delicious Japanese food restaurants! There’s even a book store and a donut shop in addition to the bakery that’s located inside the crookery store! LOVE those GINORMOUSFUJIAPPLES! That’s how they are in Japan! The other stores(Whole Foods, Vons, Ralph’s etc) never have those!

This marketplace is awesome!!! Lots of offerings in Japanese culture. Supermarket, restaurants, ready-made-sushi and bento boxes, bakery, yakatori, boba beverages, bookstore, and so much more! I love the bento boxes inside the market, and the ready-made sushi(in front of the cashiers). Also note you can sometimes order sushi by pieces. Just depends on how busy they are or if it’s a holiday. You can specify what you want. So fresh and so delicious. The supermarket has so many goodies. It’s like a regular market plus more! It’s so addicting because you discover so many delicious things. The restaurants offer a variety of noodle soups, tempura, and rice plates. CASHONLY! The prices are a little steep, but please understand that many of the products here are imported. Staff is always friendly and always inviting for questions and help.

I have a hard time in Mitsuwa. I just can’t decide on what I want. If you’re looking to stock up on basics, the supermarket section is lacking except it has a pretty good collection of Asian staples. The real conflict comes in deciding if you want to try any of the food court booths or just grab a platter of sushi. The sushi is really good. Reasonably-priced and good quality. They also do food features a few times a year. I’ve caught a few and they’re really fun. So do I buy supplies and cook at home or do I just go for teriyaki, tempura, ramen, sushi…#firstworldproblems

Mitsuwa Marketplace is a shopping center in the Torrance area that offers Japanese groceries and products. Here, you will find different kind of shops that would make you feel as if you were in Japan. Things are written both in English and Japanese, and since Japanese people frequently shop and eat here, it definitely holds its authenticity. They don’t take credit cards, but an ATM is readily available in the store, so just make a note to withdraw some cash. My wife and I usually come here for the food court, which is the perfect choice for a quick lunch or dinner. There are several restaurants offering Japanese specialties such as: Sushi, Ramen, Tonkatsu, curry, pastries, and much more. Everything in the food court is affordable, so the choices can be a bit overwhelming if you’re hungry and have to make a decision on the spot! Santouka is popular in this location, and when I go, I usually get the number 7. The broth was full of flavor and the pork — served separately so it won’t be overcooked was perfectly tender. It even seemed to be that is was melting in your mouth! The portion size is perfect for just one person. If you’re craving decent Japanese food and you’re in Torrance, you should pay Mitsuwa a visit.

OMG I love this place! Both the supermarket and the food court, man oh man, are just awesome! So many Japanese stuff and boxed gifts(souvenirs) in the huge supermarket, and the food court has all kinds of Japanese foods including but not limited to sushi, sashimi, agemono(deep-fried food), curry rice, udon, ramen noodles, rice bowls, Okonomiyaki, etc., all at very reasonable prices! I wish that I were living in L.A. so I could stop by Mitsuwa once in a while to shop and to eat!

We are huge fans of this market. Along with the grocery store, there is also a book store, a bakery, and a good food court. There is plenty of parking in the front or underground, and as you walk in you see several smaller vendors in front of you, the bookstore to the left, and food court on the right. I can’t not mention the ramen place in the food court(santouka), which is really good and will have its own review. There are also places serving Takoyaki & okonomiyaki, curry, pasta and sandwiches, and other traditional Japanese foods not sushi. So the grocery store itself has mostly if not all Japanese items, to include several of my favorite sauces and seasonings. There is a decent produce section, a meat section, and a bakery that isn’t bad. They have some good sales and promotions periodically, to include a 12 pack of Kirin for $ 6.99. There are also some household and beauty products. Another thing of note are the special events that come through periodically. They have a cherry blossom festival that takes up all of the side/main parking lot. They’ve had Hokkaido items, specialty ramen, and favorites from specific regions come through in the past, which generally last for a weekend and a day or two before. This is a great place to come for any Japanese items that you need or want, or to eat, sightsee, window shop, and reminisce.

This Mitsuwa market is pretty big. I’ve only been to this one and culver city. This one is not as crowded until you get to the check out. Now that was a long line. They had two check out line open with credit only and one was cash and credit. The cashier Coco was friendly & fast. And they still give you plastic bags. Cool with me. Place is well stocked. This market also has a food court and stores. They also have classes for kids. But it’s by raffle. Private parking

Love it! The food court is awesome. It’s big and has lots of delicious Japanese food! What’s not to like? Ramen, katsu donburi, all kinds of stuff. Cash only(for the ramen, anyway) though so bring cash. Also, the food court gets pretty noisy with all the microphones calling orders; heads up for those of you who don’t like tons of background noise(my dear hubby). The grocery store section does not do cash back! Found that out the hard way. There IS an ATM in the store though. I also bought universal Maeda-en matcha green tea powder here, and it’s cheaper than Amazon. Not bad! Also, they have a delicious bakery with samples ;)

It’s really hard for me to say anything bad about this place. I used to live about 5 miles away from here and got all of my Japanese foods here. They also have a very nice food court with lots of tasty food at good prices. Of course prices are a bit higher here because it’s all imported stuff. What can you do? Ok… I have a confession to make. The real reason I love this place is it’s because it’s the only market that I know of that sells Hello Kitty wine. Yes. I’ve attached a photo for your enjoyment. The only negative thing I could say is it doesn’t have the typical Japanese high level of service and courtesy as other Japanese places, but it’s still my go-to place in California.

I came to Mitsuwa to grab some Japanese food. Their food court has a variety of Japanese food to choose from, including Sukiyaki, Katsu, Tempura, Ramen, and Teppanyaki. I elected to go to Go Squared and ordered a sirlon steak Teppanyaki combo that came with miso soup, salad, and rice. All for $ 13. It was pretty good. And I really enjoyed the ambience of the facility. There were a lot of people walking around the Marketplace as well, so it can get very crowded and congested. But all it all it was a nice dining experience. Overall: Great place to grab a quick bite if you’re craving Japanese food. Great food court with a lot of variety.

This place rocks! I’ve been to 4 mitsuwa — San Jose, San Diego, Costa Mesa, and this one. This one by far is the best one. The store itself is biggest and has a better selection, and the foodcourt offers more options. I cant stop bringing everyone here! Parking can be busy but you’ll definitely find something in a few minutes just be patient. And i appreciate the fact that they have ice in an ice chest for you if you need to keep your grocery cold.

JAPANESEMARKET Something about Japanese Markets always suck me in — even for a browse. Their markets are always clean. Walked in aimlessly yet knowingly I will make a purchase. Few sample tables out serving ramen, Japanese curry, and the best sample table I ever been to in my life(besides the Costco’s Vitamix sample table) was their Wagyu sample table. They showcased this beautiful piece of meat very well. Although the sample was an itty bitty piece of meat at the end of a toothpick it was literally like heaven in my mouth. So juicy, tender, delicate, and buttery — the flavor just filled my palette. I’m not sure how to prepare this kind of meat so I didn’t buy it. I left with Taragashi seasoning, Calpico bottles, and seaweed. Behind the registers is a little food court. Mainly serving ramen — what’s wrong with SoCal people it’s literally 99 degrees and they chomping on ramen. Great market, I’ll be back. Until the next review…

This market place is great. I really love Japanese food and this place has many different vendors of Japanese food. Not only does it have restaurants though, but they have an actual grocery market for you to buy your Japanese goodies and what not. In this giant market place are also other stores, which include makeup and other little things. Overall, I really like this place, as it is like the ultimate Japanese market in the area. I personally like the shio salt ramen, and a lot of the lunch specials from the other restaurants are great too. There is a lot of space to eat too, and my group of 10 people had no trouble finding two tables. I will definitely be back when I am in the area.

I love Mitsuwa Marketplace! So many good eats under one roof. Plenty of restaurants, stores, dessert places, great grocery store, etc. Employees are quick and friendly. Free parking is available. Restrooms are clean. A few of my favorite places in here are: Santouka Ramen, Mikawaya, and J.sweets. J. Sweets is made up of a bunch of other smaller stores: Mochi Cream, Tokyo Ginza Rokumeikan, Kobe-Fugetsudo, and Minamoto Kochoan. This place is dangerous. Dangerously delicious. I’m glad I got to visit this location.
