Sadly, St. Paddy O’s has closed. I’ve was craving their french dip sandwich and fries, only to find out they had closed. Although this place was off the beaten path, it was a great place to get together with friends.

I’ve only been here twice while living nearby more than a year. I found the staff and patrons very friendly, the beer good and at the ready, and in two carefully-chosen words, the food stunningly awful.

I think this business is closed. I drive by almost every day and there are never any vehicles in the parking lot any more and the entry door now appears to be a solid sheet of plywood.

I love this place on my Lunch breaks, especially during big sporting events. The food is pretty well priced. The quality is dependent on what you get but the outside ambiance is amazing.

I was talking to some co-workers about where to go on St. Patty’s Day, and none of them were aware Paddy O’s was only a mile from the office. Paddy O’s is obviously an Irish bar, and it is located on Western at 204th Street in Torrance. In addition to corned beef & cabbage, PO’s offered shepherd’s pie, bangers & mash, and fish & chips on March 17th(Only open in the evening except lunch on St Patty’s Day). I ordered the corned beef sandwich & fries($ 10.50), while my co-worker ordered the bangers & mash($ 9.75 — sorry, no pic). In addition, we both ordered Guinness. My sandwich was OK. The corned beef was good, but not great. What was missing was more of the in-house made feel, and some grainy mustard. Additionally, the amount of corned beef was small. On the other hand, the fries were garden variety. They were frozen steak fries, and the portion was not that big: Both 3 Stars. The Guinness was very good, and I finished my first one before the food arrived(which wasn’t very long): 5 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, it is outstanding. You walk thru a screen door, and the main bar is on your left. However, as you continue to walk, there is an open air patio with umbrellas. I can definitely see this place being one of my watering holes after work. BTW, the place is a little hard to find, but just look for the old green building. There is plenty of adjacent parking and street parking: 5 Stars. Our waitress was very nice, and she didn’t push us like some places that try to turn the tables twice at lunch on St. Patty’s Day. It was nice that there were a lot of people, but it was not overcrowded: 4 Stars. My recommendation is to come here for the beer, ambiance and service, but not the food. It looks like have two places(Bruddah’s being the other), to drink by my office!

Went here on a Friday night because I love the name and Irish bars and was curious to see inside. It wasn’t crowded except for a handful of people. Didn’t order any food, just a beer, and the staff was friendly and offered me a cupcake. We chose a seat near the indoor wood-burning fireplace(love it!) and the bar snacks brought to our table were very tasty. This is a nice neighborhood and we felt plenty safe. I saw they had an outdoor patio but I didn’t go outside exploring. i definitely want to go back and try their food.

Great beer bar/restaurant, great beers on tap, food is fantastic, fish & chips might be the best around, steaks delicious… friendly, clean, great owners, outdoor patio for dining/drinking/socializing.

The patio at Paddy-O’s is fantasticles. Plenty of shade and seating. I went there for a work lunch and had the fish-n-chips. Definitely was happy with my meal. Service was prompt and friendly. The comment about this being in the«seedy» part of town is laughable. The day I was there, there was a ferrari, a couple of benz’s, and a lexus in the parking lot. It ain’t Brentwood, but it definitely is not the ‘hood. Lot’s of tvs for sports, a pool table, and that notable patio. This would be a good bar to hang at on a warm day with your homies for some good food, beer, and to check out the fancy cars that visit this«hood» dive bar.

From the outside it looks like you’re about to go into someone’s house. There is not only a door, but a screen door. Its a little small, but easy to work with. There is a fire place, which I thought was kinda cool. It made the bar feel cozy, but also made me feel like I was in a small town local bar. The service was good and everyone was inviting and welcoming. I originally came here for the great food reviews but ended up being too late. The drinks were reasonably priced though. Unfortunately, I feel that due to its cozy, home like feel its more drawn to an older crowd and I felt a little out of place. I recommend trying this place at least once, even if you are a part of the younger crowd. I’d probably come back to try the food and have a beer on my way home, but its not a hang out/nightlife kinda bar for me.

Came here one night for dinner after work and to watch the USMNT play Mexico. Very friendly staff, food was good and drinks reasonably priced. Could use more(and higher definition) televisions. Fantastic large patio out back, this is less sports bar more relax with friends spot.

Interesting establishment just upon entering. it’s in a seedier part of the neighborhood, and the parking lot is a bit dark. I parked close to the door, so i wasn’t too worried about my car getting broken into. Upon entry into the establishment and I saw a decent sized bar, but no booze. Beer and wine only folks. Anyway, there was sitting area with a fireplace, pretty cool, as well as an outdoor seating are for smokers or people who just wanna hang outside. I ordered a corona light and the beer was just above cool. I’m a fan of ice cold myself, but different strokes for different folks i guess. I also ordered some irish nacho’s that were fires with cheese, and not so cooked Sad to say, I will pass on another visit.

I remember when this place was Looney’s way back when! I love Paddy O’s now! Ready good food(the fish & chips are awesome) and they have weekly specials. Note this is a beer & wine bar(draft & bottle beer) but the staff is great. It’s a neighborhood bar so there are regulars but I can say with certainty that I have only found really nice, friendly people. The TV’s have sports on and the patio area is a great place to relax; much shade back there. Lunch gets busy but you can phone in a food order«to go». The parking lot fills up fast but it is worth it. Stop by it is one of Torrance’s hidden treasures.

How have I not reviewed this quaint little spot, as often as I’ve come? I pretty much come here when I’m in the mood for Fish and Chips :) Which are definitely good enough to have every time I come here. Convenient for me cuz it’s VERY close to work(I could walk here if I wasn’t so lazy =p). Cozy little bar/restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Haven’t been for happy hour or evening, but lunch has always been a pleasant experience; staff-wise and food-wise. Parking is the only potential issue because the lot isn’t huge, but it hasn’t been a problem yet.

Really interesting Gem in the city of Torrance. If it wasn’t for my co-workers I wouldn’t have found Paddy O’s. I’m definately a fan! Very home-ish bar like décor in the insie and out side patio. They have a few flat screens for game nights. Food was good, I got the blacken tilapia lunch special, but I was eye balling my co-workers fish sanwich the entire time! It looked and smelled great! I didn’t have a chance to enjoy myself a cold one but will definately come back after work one day. The service was 5 stars and the waitresses were really friednly and helpful. I love it when I receive extra attention and good service. Happy customer indeed. :)

Way back in the day this was my hangout. It was named Looney’s back then and it was owned by a great Irishman named RayTubridy(or was it Tubrity?)…They played Irish music and we had fish on Fridays, many of my friends would do Irish jigs… Oh the good old days. After Ray’s passing the bar changed hands a couple of times until Vicki bought it… I can hardly believe that it’s been 23 years since I first came in through it’s doors. I was in town picking up some artwork from a friend’s house whom has now also passed(James Winterfield aka Shakespeare was also a regular) and decided to stop in once again to have a pint in his memory. The exterior was shabbier than I remember and as I opened the door a flood of memories came rushing back. The interior has not changed all that much since the old days, though a fire place was added some many years ago and the stage has been long replaced by a big screen TV. The beer garden is as lush as ever, many of the plants from ray’s very own garden oasis. There are several tables and a stage, though I am not sure if they have live music anymore. It’s still a place you could bring your family. I sided up to the bar and ordered a Guinness, it was good, but not the best I’ve ever had. Maybe that was because friends are now married, had kids, moved away, went to meet their makers, fled back to Ireland, started many successful business in the south bay… it just wasn’t the same. I left Vicki a note to say hello… I finished my drink and left…

I really enjoy this place, but not necessarily for the food. I like the friendly vibe of the bartendress and waitstaff. The food is decent, but maybe a little over priced for the quality. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve had, but haven’t fallen in love with anything. The chicken philly is usually my goto, the steak fries are pretty solid. Their burgers aren’t bad and their specials are usually worth looking into, including the tilapia when they have it. Again, I enjoy it, but not head over heals about it. What I do like is the fact that they have an outdoor patio, which is hard to come by in the area and I also like that the staff is into your offbeat sports. Soccer dominates here, but the staff is also a fan of the grandslam tennis tournaments. Generally speaking, if there’s something that you want to watch, they’ll hand the remote over to you. They have directv, so the tennis coverage is great, you just have to ask.

A couple Fridays ago, I went out with some co-workers for a very expensive beer. I had meant to work a few hours of overtime that day, but when the afternoon came and I heard talk of an early day and a round of drinks, I weighed a pint of beer against a neat sum of time-and-a-half — the beer won. Paddy O’s struck me as a pretty nondescript dive bar, with very bright lighting and a makeshift-looking dining room with a few tables and chairs. There was outdoor seating, which would probably have been nicer, but it was cold when we went. Service was good, fast and polite, and drinks were cheap. There were also a couple TVs, if you need TV while you drink. We took a corner table and shared office gossip for a while over a round of beers. The draft menu was pretty standard pub fare, with Guinness, Bass, Stella, and the like. I had a Fat Tire and it was cold and satisfying. I don’t have much else to say, other than that I liked Paddy O’s. It wasn’t a destination venue, but as a down-the-street-from-the-office bar, it was perfectly serviceable and even pretty welcoming. I had a great time unwinding with my co-workers, and I’ll take the occasional pay cut to come again.

Oh, Paddy-O! Came here for lunch a long while ago. Sat outside their patio for fresh air. The inside of the Pub is kind of dark and kind of shhhmelly.(Like old cigarette and beer odor.) Food was alright. They serve American fingers food from French fries, wings, to sandwiches and salad. During the afternoon, it’s kind of cool just to hang out on the patio, and chat with your friends.

Returned here today. Ordered grilled ham and cheese sandwich. I actually thought it was good but a little pricey. About 8 bucks for grilled sandwich, some steak fries, and few slices of pickles. Drink(ice tea) was extra. We got here a little past noon and parking was already full. Drink was served immediately, another 10 minutes or so before they took our order, another 15 minutes before the food came out. Didn’t leave much time to eat and get back to work. Oh well… We sat in the patio and there was a guy that was smoking, smell of cigarettes and eating don’t go well together.
