Amazing korean chicken. WAY cheaper and more flavor options than Kyochon had(RIP Kyochon Culver City). One if my life goals is to one day buy them out of a day’s worth of chicken wings. Like many, pair with nicely prices great quality sushi from the sushi place 2 spots over and you have a very satisfying meal. Don’t speak a ton of English in the S-Mart but it’s the price you pay for some real deal K-Grocery shopping needs. Buy more than you’ll think you want because you will want even more when it’s gone. Gluttony does not explain how I feel about QChon chicken wings. I wish I could express this in korean so I can make the couple that owns the place smile.

It’s located inside of a market place and the selection is quite good. I recommend coming in early enough for some of the lunch specials. After a certain hour, several menu options go down. Nonetheless it’s really good fried chicken!

Updating review to say that I enjoyed it the second time around because this time, I didn’t wait to eat it at home — I grabbed one out of the box once I got into my car in the parking lot and just went HAM. This time it was perfect — perfectly crispy, juicy, and flavored. Def glad it’s in the South Bay so I have easy access to a decent korean fried chicken place!

What a great find! Fellow Unilocaler and friend recommended this place for K-style fried chicken. Qchon(not to be confused with Kyochon) is a small and humble fried chicken booth in the S-Mart Korean grocery market. It’s a small operation and seems to be operated by a husband and wife. As such, if it’s busy, expect to wait a few minutes for your order. I suggest calling ahead with your order. No seating, so pickup and eat elsewhere. You can do some grocery shopping while you wait for your order. I tried the 20 piece(not all for me… oh plz) mild and spicy wings. Dang good, if you ask me. Even comes with the pickled radish on the side. The batter was crispy, but chicken meat was moist. Although mild, those had a nice subtle kick to it. The spicy were not overly spicy at all, but had enough punch for a glass of water. The prices were very reasonable. Other items on the menu too like fried drumsticks and some Korean dishes like fried rice, but I did not try those.

Quick fix for K.F.C. if you are in the area it definitely hits the spot. Flavorful, but not spicy. They hooked it up with radishes

Pretty decent Korean fried chicken! The wings were crispy, sweet, and savory. The ‘sticks’ are actually just big chicken legs, and were good we preferred the wings, which seemed to hold more flavor. Not the best I’ve ever had, but still pretty tasty. They make everything to order, so be patient when waiting for your food. Go check out the rest of the S Mart grocery store while you’re waiting!

One of my favorite wing places. Crispy, sweet, and spicy. No chewy skin.

Qchon is really good! It’s basically the Bdubs for Koreans. I’m only here if I’m craving it. I used to go to the one in Culver City Westfield mall or the other one in K-town but why go there if there’s one in Torrance now! FYI, Qchon and Kyo Chon are not the same. The flavor is so rich and finger-lickin’ good! You get a sweet and spicy, yet garlic taste in every bite. I have to say, their chicken is a contender to the sweet garlic wings from Tea station. Price-wise, I’d lean more towards Qchon. But if money isn’t a problem and you’re more interested in 5 star quality and taste, then Tea Station wings are way better.

I had heard wonderful things about the Korean Fried chicken in California, and since we don’t have many options here in TX, I knew I wanted to get some before departing california. The more popular places are closer to actual LA, but it was going to be our last meal before departing back to TX and we wanted to be somewhat near the airport, so I found this place on Unilocal.I did not know it was inside of a grocery store or else I might have passed. It was a bit odd since there was not place to eat. We had to purchase it and eat the in car. We ordered 20 wings and it came with a side of rice. We had it split between the regular and the spicy. The regular was very bland, the spicy had a good kick but overall, it was nothing spectacular. I was very sad that we wasted one of the few meal opportunities on this.

The ONLY reason they don’t get a 5-star rating is because I’ve had other Korean fried chicken places that are better but since none of them are in the Southbay area anymore, this is good without having to deal with a commute into LA. Definitely call ahead to order since they can get backed up(it’s a very tiny kitchen). I’ve only ever gotten the chicken wings and I usually split my order between the regular and spicy(not as spicy as Kyo-Chon/Bön Chon).

I was craving some Korean style fried-chicken, so we decided to try this one that I saw when I was at the market. I called in ahead to order since it is to-go only and no place to eat inside. We ordered 20 wings with spicy sauce and it was $ 13.99. By the time we made i to the market, it was already done and ready to be picked up. They were tasty but I don’t think they do not particularly stand out compare to other Korean fried chicken places. However, this is a good alternative without driving all the way to K town if you live in South Bay.

QChon is located inside of the S Mart grocery store, and it’s take out only. The chicken is a bit on the pricey side, but if you’re paying for quality fried chicken, it’s a small trade-off. As far as flavors go, it’s either mild or spicy, so take your pick. Every order also comes with a cup of sliced pickled radishes, so it’s definitely helpful if you decide to go the spicy route.

Located inside an Asian market called S-Mart. It’s in the back of the store on the left side. We tried their chicken wings and it’s really crispy! It’s cooked perfectly! It’s a must-try. The only downside is that they only have two flavors: mild and spicy. Mild doesn’t really have a kick to it but it’s still good! The price is relatively adorable than other wings place. 6pcs $ 5, 10pcs $ 8, 20pcs $ 14, 30pcs $ 20 and 50pcs $ 32. The wait can take up to 20mins since they have other orders and they cook it when it’s ordered. So yes, it’s freshly cooked! It even smell garlicky haha.

Sweet, garlicky, soysaucey, lol making up words. But those spicy chicken wings are bomb. The spicy did leave me wanting a little water, rice, radish to cool off my mouth but even if it was tingling a little I wanted to keep eating. Just get the wings, most of the time the specials are not available. Credit cards are accepted.

QChon is one of those hidden gems that is located inside a grocery store(S Mart). All they have is chicken wings and drum sticks but damn are they addictive. The sauce is so sticky icky you can just stop at 1 or 5 or 10 even. I usually order the 20 pc which is $ 13.99 which also comes with a side of picked daikon radishes which gives a good cooling effect after eating spicy wings. The chicken wings are perfectly crispy while still retaining the moist tender centers and the sauce is just super sticky with a little bit of spicy kick to it. The order usually take 15 – 20 mins because they make every order fresh, so if you are in a hurry make sure you call it in or get ready to shop the store before your order will be ready. FYI when you take this togo and drive home be ready to have your car smell for a day or two.

*Located inside S Mart on Crenshaw & Torrance Blvd* Their wings and sticks(drums) are GREEEEEAAAATTTTT! They are crispy, moist and oh so TASTY! They don’t make them until you order so expect a wait or call in your order. The only downside are the prices and the size but it’s worth it. Our usual order consists of 20pcs of spicy wings($ 13.99) and 4 «sticks» for $ 7.99. It also comes with pickled daikon which goes well with the chicken. FYI, your car will smell like fried chicken for a few days. I love the smell so I don’t mind :) Mmmmm Yummy! *To-go only

It’s spicy, sweet, savory, and crunchy! I finished eating a batch of 6 wings before I drove off, then went back in to buy another batch of 10 wings. I want more!

When they’re on, QChon(KyoChon?) can make some of the best chicken wings available. When they’re off, it can be some of the tiniest overly fried chicken you can have. Fortunately, they’re on most the time. The regular garlic-soy wings are heavenly. Perfectly crisp, tender and juicy on the insides. It’s not overly salted or covered in batter like every other wing spot. The spicy is pretty fire and can cause volcano ass to the frail. Might as well go all-in and get the spicy raw crab while you’re in the market. Since it’s located in S-Mart, the parking is pretty easy. There isn’t any tables to eat so this place is a strictly a pick up to-go place. A bit more expensive than other wing options, but it’s well worth the price for the quality.

KFC(Korean fried chicken) time! Very crispy and addictive, I can eat these until I’m ready to pop. I have to admit, I prefer Kyochon in Ktown, but this place is a great alternative. I always order 20 wings with half spicy/half regular. Regular is garlic, soy, garlic, mild spice, and garlic. Spicy is not too spicy, just a little more heat. I love getting some Korean beer from the market while I wait for my order, pick up my food, drive back to my place and have chicken+beer(chi-maek in Korean, which means chicken + maekju, Korean for beer) for dinner. If you pick up something else for a side while you’re at the market, even better. I dare you to have just one of these wings… seriously, once you start eating these delicious bits, you can’t stop. One word of caution: your car will smell like fried garlic+soy+spices for dayssss. It’s all worth it though. Enjoy!

Korean Fried Chicken at it’s finest! Great little restuanr in the middle of the SMart Korean market. One cute little Korean lady, who speaks little to no English, runs this place and she works hard! We got two orders of the fried chicken($ 4.99 for 6 wingettes). One order plain one order spicy. First thing you have to know about this place is that the food is made to order. So you place your order while shopping in the store, and come back 10 minutes later to pick up your meal. The plain fried chicken is safe. Plain, no spicy, hot and delicious. The spicy fried chicken was lathered in a soy sauce spicy deliciousness that made the entire car smell so good, I almost crashed my car as I constantly looked over at the chicken while driving! I wanted to eat it right there and then! Food Grade: B+ Service Grade: B Worth the Money Grade: B Oveall Impression: B.
