Sizzler

I’ve come here several times because it’s convenient. I usually get the steak and unlimited salad bar. I end up eating from the salad bar and take the steak home to make sandwiches for lunch or slice the meat for other dishes. I prefer the Sizzler’s on Hawthorne and Artesia. They have a better salad bar and they offer the cheese bread and rolls. I usually come here if I want a salad bar dinner.

I Guess restaurants kick u out at 6 on the dot when thats there closing time! 1^st restarant to tell me u have to hurry up and eat and leave! Never coming back here! Lady that approached me was rude! I will take my business some where else!

The food was terrible. I moved to Torrance from Minnesota 2 years ago and had never heard of Sizzler before except for the guy on Happy Gilmore wanting to go eat there with Shooter Megavin. Yuck, I will never go to a Sizzler again.

My wife and I had lunch today at this Sizzler. We haven’t eaten here in years. Like others on «yelp», My family and I have come here many times to eat. It was at one time a great place to eat at a fair price. I think my Dad and Mom came here at least once a week.

This Sizzler is a franchise and not Corporate run. It explains the weak Management and cut corner attitude. Anyone who thinks this Sizzler is the best is either a set up, or just doesn’t know whats good. You need to visit several other Sizzlers before you can call it the best, and then it would only hold true for those few.
This is what my wife and I observed while at lunch. My wife loves vegetable beef soup, but the soup was mostly water, celery. carrots, and potato.(where’s the beef?) I had to salt my soup to give it flavor. The soup pots had no lids, something I never seen before. A good idea to keep soup hot and foreign things out (like a sneeze or cough) The chicken wings were not hot but a little over room temp, The produce like spinach, kale, peppers, onions. didn’t look fresh. No french dressing. The soft serve ice cream with only one flavor, came out melted. The Management was not walking around to make sure things were right. Ninety percent of this doesn’t happen at a Corporate Sizzler. I won’t mention the the nose picking at the table and the not washing of hands,
the restroom (no it wasn’t a guy).
The only bright thing about our visit was the server. She was very nice, friendly and attentive

Not the Sizzler I remember from the past. I used to go to this Sizzler a lot with my parents back in the day. I remember them having pretty decent sized entrees and a fairly good lunch/​dinner salad bar. I loved before their Malibu chicken.
I recently came here again after so many years of not eating Sizzler. I was surprised and sad though at this visit. Gone are the good portions and good entrees at the salad bar. It has been replaced with mediocracy. My friend got the malibu chicken. I was surprised with the portion she got because back in the day this came with two chicken patties. Now It has been replaced with one small chicken patty and a side. I got the salad bar. The salad bar was what surprised me the most! There’s not that much selection. No more of my favorite corn poppers. The only meat entrees were the chicken wings, meatballs and meat from the taco bar. The vegetable beef soup had mostly vegetable. The quality was just not there.
Expensive and quality was not the best were my takes from this visit to Sizzler. It’s too bad because I liked this place a lot back in the day. I have fond memories of eating here with my parents. Unfortunately now a days, it is different here.

This is definitely the best sizzler around. The food is always fresh and cooked just to order. The staff is always incredibly helpful and has a smile on their faces.
Not only that but it is always clean & well managed.
If you’re gonna go to sizzler, come to this one!

Friday night out, we could not decide what to eat and had been talking about salad bar. so we went to sizzler. over all this place is good. the inside is clean, the staff was nice and helpful. food came out hot and served in a good time. some beer and wine choices. the menu does not look like its changed in 20 years, lol. i had the grilled shrimp with veggies. the shrimp were kind of small and almost tasted like they may have been frozen and then grilled. thats not relaly that bad, but not great either. no real issues, its about what i expected. wife had the salmon and kids had the pizza. all the food was served hot and it tasted fine. price, a little high, for this level of food. we spent over $ 60 for the four plates, but we did get a trip to the salad bar. so i guess its ok.
the salad bar was ok, they had what looked like a taco bar, but we didn’t go to that. they also had soup, but with the one trip plate you dont get soup. salad bar had the norm, looked clean and kept stocked.
so over all i gave it 3 stars, and thats ok, mostly due to the cost of the food, beer choices and quality of food, salad bar choices.

First time to a Sizzler in a long time and I am glad I came back. Came in a 6:30 PM on a Saturday and they were very busy. All the employees were smiling and very nice. Line went fast and my server Joven was wonderful. Service was better than some of the restaurants I ate in Vegas last week
Food was fresh with happy employees. What else could you ask for. Will definitely go back and on top of this, it is modestly priced,

Ok butt I got to not come here again, I just keep forgetting the shrimp is bad and ribs are no good chicken wings r over breaded and they taste awful but my dad use to bring me here as a kid so that’s what brings me back, the service is very good older philipo I man is kindness Man ever but the food no good

Go here regularly almost once a week. Service is very good. I get the Malibu Chicken dinner special and it comes with the salad bar.
This location keeps the salad bar stocked at all times, so it’s always fresh.
The only problem here is some of the booths are not set evenly, so some are smaller then others and I am big guy so that can be a problem.

Every time we come here for lunch, it takes them FOREVER to take our order and pay, even if we are the first ones in line! Unbelievable. The last time I went, the staff was not friendly, except for our waitress. Even the manager Saul not once greeted any of the 7 of us dining there. He didn’t even look up at our faces while ringing our orders up. I saw the same behavior to the guest ahead of us as well.
The inside is so plain & depressing. It is clean though.
The only thing that saves this place is the fact that it is Sizzler & we all love the salad bar. Cheese bread is always the best & I’m so happy it comes with your meal. Food was fine, no complaints there.

We haven’t been to a sizzler in years but, because we were supporting a fund raiser, we are there this evening. It was great! The salad/​soup bar fresh and big variety. My husband had the burger and fries, he’s not easy to please, and he was very happy. I really loved the pumpkin spice soup. You should try it!

They’ve fixed the place up a bit. Looks cleaner and they’ve refreshed the décor inside. But the service still sucks. Forever slow. Quality of the food is low again… just after they were doing so well not too long ago. And as usual, messed up our order. They changed the bread, not as cheesy but at least they cook to order do its fresh. Basically, just your everyday, boring, standard Sizzler.

Just got back from the «Sizzler» in Lomita. This is our second time going to this Sizzler since they relaunched. Nice interior some TV’s and ample seating. Nice beverage and ice cream bar.
I ordered the All-​You-​Can-​Eat salad bar, which was ALL fresh & clean. Good choices. My husband ordered their «Steak (6pz.) and lobster tail (very small) with a baked potato, sautéed mushrooms (they had no favor much) and their famous cheese toast (which is always great)!
The worst was the lobster tail (over cooked to almost nothing). That’s BLASPHEMY!!! A CARDINAL SIN FOR LOBSTER!!!
The baked potato, seem like it was sitting for awhile and had started to settle and before a little hard or maybe under cooked. His little steak was cooked medium rear and was right on the money.
My meal this time I had a little complaint. The menudo was a little bland, too much hominy and not enough pork.
I’d give it another chance. The reason why we went, because NORM’S was totally full and we didn’t want to wait long for seating. When it is full like that, they always seat you in the back. We’ve been there before when it gets full. Not liking the back seating!
Service is too slow. And they need to clean their bathrooms too!

This place has been remodeled. Sizzlers is making a comeback. The manager here really cares about customer service and treating people kindly. The food here is great. Im coming back just to get two lobster tails… The price… Who cares !! Its that good. Thanks again for the wonderful experience.

I remember coming here as a little kid with my mom and/​or grandparents, and it was great. The food was always fresh, the cheese toast was always crispy and had plenty of cheese on it, the waiters were attentive, etc.
Nowadays this place has gone down the drain. The food is pretty meh – looks old sometimes, the cheese toast only has cheese in the middle, and is almost always soggy because of the steam from wherever it’s kept. Plus, the waiters just don’t give a damn anymore.
The «old» Sizzler would’ve gotten 5 stars, but I’ll give this one a 3 (2−½, really).

This is the worst Sizzler location I’ve ever been to and that’s not an exaggeration. First of all I know it’s Sizzler, not Flemings, Houston’s or McCormick & Schmicks so I don’t expect perfection. This is our cheap burger and steak joint, but we never come to this location and now I know why. Since it’s been crazy at our go to location on Hawthorne we wanted to stay away from the SB Galleria area and decided to drive here… BIG MISTAKE!
The first clue that something was wrong should have been the employee sitting in the parking lot with some guy doing God only knows what when we arrived. We go inside, place our order, take a seat and then find that she’s our waitress. AAARRGGGHHH!!!
She asks if we want cheese toast and then brings out a small plate of cheese toast cut into fourths, stuck together and clearly microwaved from either the day before or earlier in the day. It was disgusting. Then our meals come out and they’re just meh. Our server disappeared at one point and we saw her heading to the parking lot which sounded like a good idea to us because we couldn’t wait to get to our car as well and make our exit from the premises. We wouldn’t go back if the food was free and the CEO of Sizzler gave me a piggyback ride. Avoid this location and just stick to the one on Hawthorne.

After watching the recent episode of Anthony Bourdain’s «Parts Unknown» on Koreatown where a Sizzler was featured, I suddenly had an urge and curiosity to visit a Sizzler since I haven’t been in years.
The unlimited salad bar had an a pretty adequate selection of items – chicken wings, taco station with ground beef, carnitas, and trimmings, soup bar with three flavors, salad bar including mixed salads, spaghetti and meatballs, a few desserts like peach cobbler, bread pudding, and banana pudding, plus soft serve ice cream. The food was pretty average, but the service from Elsa was excellent and the restaurant itself was clean. I think I was more disappointed by the cheese toast. I remember it being tastier with more cheese!

After seeing some PRO shots from sizzler posted on Unilocal,i was so ready to post my photos and compare them to their shots as a joke– thinking my plates of food would look hideous and the people here would so not look like the people here in this photo:
But as a fellow Unilocaler called this sizzler the «GOOD SIZZLER», i was kidding myself and most everyone here was smiling and the food actually looked decent.
Unlike my super sad steak i had near foxhills, this 6 oz Lunch special steak came out pretty nice (for a $ 10 steak that is).
It even came with a slice of their awesome CHEESE TOAST! It actually came out med rare as requested and wasn’t tough and chewy. It was not very flavorful, but nothing a little salt cant’ fix.
Dude got the ¹⁄₃ pound Sizzler Burger.
It came with a good amount of fixings and the patty was pretty good. The thing that makes this burger is that they SIZZLERFY their buns– cuz the inside part had a nice cheesy crust like their signature cheese toast. Otherwise– it was pretty ordinary.
Rounded out our meals by adding the endless salad bar for a few extra bucks each, some icetea and strawberry lemonade– we had a very filling meal and even had leftovers.
My faves from the salad bar = costco like meatballs (i love those things) in marinara, crispy chicken wings, spinach with cranberry salad, croutons, clam chowder and apple crisp with soft serve.
Other things i saw– shrimp louie salad, make your own tacos (they had hard taco shells, flat taco shells and soft flour tortillas), a few different soups, lots of salad toppings, a few pasta salads, jello, spaghetti, bread pudding and fruits.
Didn’t see corn poppers like Jenn G said in her 2007 review– i guess they don’t do that anymore.
*can’t use coupon with ultimate value meals and specials. But u can use it during their lunch prices which is about $ 8– 15 bucks if u add salad bar.
The have a banquet room where we saw a huge party of a baby shower!
Service was great and i agree that this is the «Good Sizzler»!!!
