Gluten Free, Vegan AND Delicious This bakery is awesome. You walk and in and are greeted by the girls behind the counter. Then you notice all the amazing treats in the display case and realize that even with dietary restrictions you can have them!!! Their treats are all Gluten free then from there you can get items that range from Vegan to dairy free to nut free depending. Just ask or expain your needs and restrictions and the girls are happy to help out. I purchased my daughters birthday cake and Lisa one of the Owners was very helpful with the options and what was the most popular as well as her personal favorites were. We decided on banana cake with chocolate frosting. When I went to pick up the cake is was ready and the girls were expecting me based on my phone call with Lisa. The cake was everything and more. It was moist and delicious, everybody loved it and we are talking about non vegan teens! I got a few extra goodies while I was there and Think that the Almond Bars are my new favorite thing. Chewy, sweet but not sugary with the bit of tart from the cranberries. Now I just need to find more reason to go to Torrance so that I can stop in for a treat.

Excellent service. It’s a happy place. The employees are polite, they are creative with their own recipes. I had their vegetable lasagna and spinach salad with cranberries. Both were very excellent. You must try this place.

UPDATE: Now that our wedding has come and gone, I can post about how Lisa and Amber came through for me! They are oustanding! They were first recommended to me by my maid of honor and by Torrance Bakery when our venue included the wedding cake but the wedding cake did not accommodate my food allergies. Lisa experimented in her kitchen to create a new recipe that I could have without cane sugar and had molasses and/or honey instead, which worked deliciously in their pies and pie crusts. I was resolved that I would not be having dessert at my wedding, and kept telling myself I didn’t care, but I really did, and was so ecstatic when I knew I could safely eat and it was so delicious! We had them deliver apple and blueberry, and have a couple left over in the freezer to heat up later :) They are so sweet and innovative, I would recommend them to anyone and everyone I know! Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience :) Surprisingly, their prices are extremely reasonable for being specialty foods with what can easily become expensive ingredients. We were very well taken care of!

It’s always a joy to visit this bakery! It’s a hole in a wall located in Torrance. Ever since I found out they existed, it has always been my #1 spot for GLUTENFREESWEETS! Also, if you’re looking for DAIRYFREE and NUTFREE… they can make it for you. Everything is made from scratch, so meaning raw foods. That’s your hint for a slightly pricey sweets so don’t expect cheap an yet get the best quality. Nope. Everything is baked fresh and the ladies bake throughout the day. You can even watch them bake from outside the store! It’s so easy to find, PINKEVERYWHEREOUTSIDE. There’s only seats outside but traffic gets overwhelming so I suggest to take everything to go. There aren’t any seats inside either. They do offer espresso drinks! Nothing too fancy. I’ve had a latte from them and it’s your average. Onto the most important part!!! GFSWEETSGALORE!!! The best for me has to be the Banana Blueberry muffins/cupcakes! The frosting is homemade and they paired it with peanut butter. Just devine! Not too sweet like Sprinkles cupcakes. Second best that I had, donut holes. Both do contain dairy so I try not to have ‘em. But it’s worth trying! There’s glazed and cinnamon powdered sugar. $ 1 each. Third fave, their cookies. The chocolate chips are perfection! I always have soy to-go! I have gotten their loaves but it’s a lot for me to finish without going bad. No one else at home appreciates GF goodies -.- It’s $ 10 for a whole one. Refrigerating them can only work for so long since there’s no preservatives. Just how I like it. But great for sharing or parties. Sandwiches, canapés, or simply a snack. They do catering as well. I haven’t ordered anything quite big but they do have look books for their party trays of cupcakes/cookies/muffins, even cakes! All looks amazing. I’m all about gluten-free everything so I hope you guys like this hidden gem just as much as I do. The ladies are always so sweet and greets you the moment you walk in. They’re very helpful and informative. Don’t ever expect anything boring or plain out of their ovens! It’s amazing baking done right(:

A great bakery, even if you didn’t know it was gluten-free. I don’t have any allergies but wanted to try the place out and was not disappointed. I tried a variety of things here from the donut holes and muffins to the brownies and bars. Every single item I was happy with, especially with their just the right amount of sweetness policy. Even if I was a pro-gluten everything man, I could be satisfied with what’s here. Bonus, the prices are like anywhere else and the staff here is extremely friendly and obviously cares about what they do. I’d definitely stop in again.

I work with a lot of health conscious, slash crazy people. These are the really picky first world problem type of people who are gluten free, nut allergies, religious, or whatever bs dietary preference you can name — I work with all of them. So trying to find a place to go to lunch is a nightmare, believe me. But when I brought my office an assorted box of Good Cookies, everyone ate them and didn’t complain about anything, which was shocking, cuz like I said, these people are privileged and difficult beyond belief. If you know people like this; you know the type, they probably do yoga… I’m just sayin… if you know those difficult to please people, Good Cookies has something they will enjoy.

I LOVE their Vegan Mixed Berries Pie! It’s not too sweet, the crust carries a perfect hint of salt and it’s so wonderfully flaky. It’s so good I wanna cry!(blows nose and wipes away tears) … when you place an order, you can even ask for less sugar than their normal recipe. I also love that they offer mini pies, if you’re one of those people with no self control and will devour a whole large pie by yourself, this is a great option. Over the holidays, I brought their Vegan Mixed Berries Mini Pie to a friend’s house and it was a delicious hit enjoyed over chamomile tea.

Amazing cookies. It’s hard to believe they’re gluten free. If I had these without knowing that I never would suspect them being gluten free. It’s a great shop, easy parking, and friendly staff and owners that are very hard working and deserve all the success they’ve earned. I will definitely be stopping here again soon.

I recently tried the mixed berry gluten-free pie from The Good Cookies Bakery. It was the BEST Mixed Berry Pie I have ever had!!! I also had the brownies, choc chip cookies, breakfast bar, and some other cookie. This place is amazing! The owner is so down-to-earth and friendly, you can tell they really care about their customers and their products. I am so glad that we have a gluten-free bakery in the South Bay. This is probably the best gluten-free bakery in the world if you ask me! I’m going back soon to order me some more goodies!

I am vegan and allergic to a bunch of stuff, forcing me to be gluten free, and I never thought I’d be able to have tasty baked goods again. This place is SOGOOD! Ive had the ice cream cookie sandwiches(AMAZING!), cupcakes(ALSOAMAZING), and my family ordered a custom Star Wars cake from them; it was absolutely stunning. I give this place a 5 star because they have some tasty goods, but they are also all really sweet people with great customer service. My favorite flavor has been chocolate and banana so far. As for the ice cream, mint and chip all the way ;)

Sampled these cookies at The Mother Center Event and wow they are to die for! Getting vegan treats that aren’t totally dried out is a miracle that they’ve managed to excel at. Definitely check them out if you haven’t already!

My boyfriend and I are OBSESSED with the cinnamon sugar donut holes. And he isn’t even gluten free 100% of the time(he does it for me!). We also like the glazed ones, just prefer the cinnamon sugar ones. I ate the brownie this past visit and gobbled it up quickly. Moist, gooey, flavorful. I also ate the blueberry crumble muffin. Which was good. Would’ve been better heated up, but I ate it on my car ride home in traffic, haha. The staff are always super sweet and I LOVELOVELOVE the fact that everything is gluten free!!! Just wish I lived closer! Luckily I can find their sun butter cookies at Mother’s Market in Huntington Beach & Costa Mesa!!!

The only true gluten free bakery in the South Bay Let me first say that everyone who works at the Good Cookie is really nice, and if I ever need to get a Gluten Free cake this will be my first stop. I have been going to the Good Cookie since it opened for sandwich cookies, and although I do not have Celiac disease, I like that they bake everything from scratch with whole ingredients. You can’t get that anywhere else in the Southbay. Since they are using whole ingredients, they do not have to add more sugar like the fiber-less bajillion grams of sugar like you would buy off the shelf, if you actually had to buy those products if you had celiac disease. There is street parking out front and they have some tables on the sidewalk for nice days to sit to have a doughnut, cupcake, ice cream cookie sandwich, or sandwich. Just like anything made from scratch and a lot of love it is a bit spendy, but worth it.

Staff is super, awesomely friendly. Vegan, gluten free and soy free treats! So happy to find this place. I had the cookie ice cream sandwich. I think the almond joy chocolate chip cookie is delish by itself and the mint ice cream too. It was not like other ice cream sandwiches I’ve tried. The consistency is a little different. Kind of icy when I first tried it. Taste is great. Creamy, not too sweet and very flavorful. Did not give me a headache(as does happen if I eat too many sweets) this was satisfying and tasty and I did not have any sugar crash afterward. Keep making delicious vegan, gluten free treats!

Awesome for those health nuts but are always looking for something to indulge in. My sister found this place and took me here when we were hanging around Torrance. There was some outdoor seating under an umbrella and it already looked cozy before we walked in. The shop front is actually extremely small, majority of the shop is the bakery itself! Everything is gluten free and the menu is easy to read, they have variations of cookies using almond, peanut, and sun butter as well as varieties of cupcakes, brownies, and donut holes. They have a bunch of options for those looking for vegan cookies or pastries. My sister and I got cookies and I’ve tried their coconut crusted cheesecake which was heaven. The next time I came here I tried their ice cream sandwich using their cookies and vegan ice cream which was perfect. I love that their pastries are at the perfect level of sweet, nothing overwhelming nor bland. All their foods have an interesting texture and I keep coming back. I also got a cupcake(chocolate with strawberry buttercream) but right when I got into the house I accidentally dropped the box, ruining the cupcake. I cried.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a little while, I was not disappointed. I got a vanilla/vanilla cupcake and banana blueberry muffin. I also ordered a cake for later. The cupcake was so good! The girls there were very helpful, especially with ordering the cake. Eventually I will probably try most everything. Finding a gluten/wheat free bakery is hard enough and this is a great one!

This review is purely for the goods because I have actually not been to the brick and mortar shop. I’ve just been fortunate enough that these guys consistently make the trip up north to participate in my company’s bi-weekly farmer’s market. And I am ever so thankful they do. They have branched out significantly with their merchandise since they first started making appearances and what they have to offer has only gotten better. These guys really know what they’re doing. The donut holes are one of my favorite things in the world. If you can get your hands on some they are heavenly. The cookies are all winners as well. I have veered from my usual chocolate chip with peanut butter recently because I’m trying to avoid peanuts for a little while, and the vegan sunbutter cookies do not leave you wanting. They also turn green if you leave them in the sun! SCIENCE! The almond breakfast bars and all of their muffins are tasty, but don’t leave you feeling heavy like a lot of baked breakfast items normally would. Some things can get a little crumbly like gluten-free baked goods tend to, and they don’t last super long so eat them up fast. Still need to try to the gluten free bread and pies/cakes, but for a sweet little pick-me-up during the day, these products are the way to go. Also always like to support nice, knowledgeable business owners. Whether you are vegan, living gluten-free, or neither of these things, you will love this place.

Heaven for vegans My sister and I were looking for a place nearby where we could hang out. I found that I had bookmarked this bakery a while back so decided to try it out. We parked on the street, there was plenty. Thought I’m not sure if there is a lot in the back available if it gets crowded. We walked in and were greeted. Their menu was easy to navigate. Items with an asterisk mean that they’re vegan. I decided on 6 cookies for a dollar a piece. I tried their double chocolate cookie with peanut butter, oatmeal raisin with peanut butter, and chocolate chip with almond butter. They also have a sub butter but not sure what that was. The cookies were all great, they’re not like your typical cookie but they are vegan so whatever. They remind me of cookie dough and I just wanted to eat the entire box in one sitting. My sister had the cheesecake and it was a surprise for her to find coconut flakes for the crust. She really liked it though. She is a lover of cheesecake and no complaints from her. There is seating outside of two tables pushed together, so it’s more of a pick up and go sort of shop. I would definitely come back to see what other treats they have to offer.
