Don’t let the location behind the gas station scare you! Don’t assume the small location doesn’t have everything middle eastern you’re looking for! They will even cater specific foods, see the pic I posted! Just give them 3 days notice before you need the cooked foods. They have fresh frozen rabbit and duck(specialty items) in the freezer section. They also have frozen Egyptian style falafel! Just thaw it and fry it. Their deli has amazing fresh cheeses, torshi and deli meats. Check this place out and support small businesses. You won’t regret it.

This is a well kept secret within the community, you can ask for grape leaves and cabbage leaves. Best thing on the planet

So I was washing some very large comforters at the local laundry mat, was hungry for lunch so walked to this place just a couple of doors down. They had a sign on the window that said sandwiches for 3.99. So I went in and ordered a Ham and Cheese. Fresh sliced ham and fresh sliced cheese off the block, very nice soft yet crusty french roll. All in all a very delicious sandwich. I would come back and try more!

Every once in a while you stumble upon a really interesting find. Being bored at the hotel, I wandered around back of the parking lot and saw a rather non descript small market and deli. And in I went… Owned by Egyptians, I found myself transported to the Mediterranean surrounded by all the foods in that region. A very large selection of spices, canned goods, candies, produce for all over the Mid East and Africa stocked the shelves full. Iranian bread, Saudi Arabian candies, Egyptian vegetables… I had to try a few items. 1. Molokhia. This is leaves from the jute plant. It came chopped and frozen. Boil in a little chicken broth and add cardamon and carmelized chopped garlic, this is an Egyptian staple served with rice. This is similar to collard greens but with a mild but unique taste 2. Egyptian Squash Seeds. Their version of sunflower seeds. Mostly shells and not much nutmeat. 3. Saudia Arabian biscuits filled with dates. A different but interesting variation of a fig bar. 4. Various pistaschio candies. Interesting and different with carmel, nougat fillings. Overall: 4 stars for being so unique in a very mall environment.
