I am a drummer who has 13 years experience playing, and I work with Dave teaching drums to kids. When I had to take time off from playing because of wrist pain, I knew that I needed to spend some time with a teacher and do an overhaul on my technique. Dave offered me a seasoned perspective on how to use the body to play the drums in a way that is natural and will not cause injury. He easily identified 4 or 5 bad habits that were contributing to my injury, helped me understand them and suggested motions and exercises that would help to alleviate them. My lesson with dave has given me plenty to think about and plenty to practice for the past several weeks, and has really been a big help in helping me develop my technique in a deeper sense.
