Great atmosphere, great staff and great food! Had a bowl of New England clam chowder which was great and had a chicken salad melt with Gouda cheese in 12-​grain toast (fantastic)…also enjoyed the carrots with hummus that came as a side with the sandwich… the two ladies that helped me were very friendly which added to the café vibe and environment which were pleasant… also have free wifi which was great to get some work done… will def come back next time I pass through Torrington

What a great spot for lunch when you’re in downtown Torrington. I had the chili and cheese stuffed backed potatoe. Yummy! The staff was pleasant.

Charming local ice cream and sandwich shoppe! This is a great place to not only stop by and have a hand dipped Hershey’s ice cream cone, cup or milk shake but also to enjoy soups and made-​to-​order salads, wraps and sandwiches. The owner and her staff are very friendly and customer service oriented. My salad was freshly made with organic greens. .. a generous portion at a very reasonable price. The ice cream is delicious with over 20 flavors of ice cream, Greek frozen yogurt, sorbet and Italian ice. .. some sugar free & gluten free flavors too! S&S also sells an assortment of locally made cake pops and chocolate dipped pretzels and treats, as well as snacks, candy and beverages. I always stop by whenever I am in the area!

Best ice cream place in town! Not only is the ice cream great but the cake pops and other goodies are awesome as well! The owner Tina is one of the nicest people ever! Love going there and can’t wait to go back!

Really great place for a sweet treat. Nice selection of ice cream and the typical toppings. The owner is really nice. I would recommend this to any one that wants to experience a slice of Americana.

This place isn’t just a ice cream place. It does lunch as well. It has a soup of the day. I got creamy tomato which was perfect for dipping my tuna melt into. My mom got the BLT and the baked potato soup. Both were spot on. The nice woman working there also made it all the better.

I walked into this ice cream shop last night during the DARE Car Show; I was greeted by the very sweet daughter of the owners. Simple, no frills, friendly, safe… my kind of place. I ordered a 2 scoop waffle cone of Maple Walnut and Chocolate PNB. Yummy, fresh, delicious Hershey Ice Cream… you can’t get that from an ice cream truck. I hope these folks make it. I very much encourage you to treat yourself.
