This would be a 5 star place if the coolers were cleaner where they are showcasing the food. Love the Mac and Cheese and their Shepards Pie favorite grinder is their Roastbeef

The BEST sandwiches in Torrington by far, well worth the $ 7.00 that you pay for by far! The sandwiches are piled high and the salads are great. I’ve been to all the other sandwich shops in town (there is competition between shops and Jimmy’s wins hands down), and always come back to Jimmy’s.
They beat carbones hands down!!!

A good, Italian oriented market. They have several rotating hot food special each day available for takeout, many of which are excellent (like eggplant parmesan, homemade macaroni and cheese). Sandwiches are thick with meat, but just piling on the meat does not a great sandwich make. They’re OK but they have nothing on Carbone’s.

If you’re hungry for a sandwich, these are piled high. The store stocks many ethnic foods that are hard to find and if you’re planning on cooking out, the meat case is stocked with choice meats.
