Charming to be sure, both the Inn and its owners. I have stayed at the Inn twice now and on top of the unique experience of staying in this wonderful Victorian home, the owners are dedicated to service and customers immediately feel they are among friends. For me, I will opt for the Victorian Charm Inn every time I am in the area.

Our family needed a place to stay for a wedding the first week of August. The bride(my cousin) sent me a text letting me know that the Victorian Charm Inn bed & breakfast would probably be the best place to stay for the best value. She was so completely correct! One of the owners, Jack, personally handled our reservations for the two rooms we needed. He greeted us on arrival, helped us carry our luggage to our rooms and immediately addressed any issues we raised within his control. We had opted for the«full breakfast,» which Jack made himself. When he learned that my son and I both have gluten intolerance issues, he went the extra mile. He bought specialty bread to make us gluten-free french toast even though we had not asked for special accommodations. That’s going the extra mile! As my mom said, if/when we ever again need a place to stay in Towanda, this is the place we plan to go.

I have so many incredible things to say about VCI. Every expectation I had was met and surpassed. The house is flawless, renovated and restored. We had the pleasure of staying in the Decker room. It featured three huge protruding windows with stained glass, a four poster bed. Antique furniture throughout. Yet, modern conveniences like wifi, a mini fridge and a flat screen TV! We had a private bathroom and shower and access to a shared patio just outside our door. A full breakfast of French Toast, Bacon and Eggs was cooked for us the next morning and it was perfect. I expected some run down areas or weird«old» smells, but none whatsoever! I thought the old walls would mean lots of noise from other guests, but apparently the owner’s teenage daughter had some friends overnight– we didn’t hear a thing! VCI is conveniently located, just a short walk to the downtown businesses(passing by LOTS of historic architecture!). What a GEM.

Staying a the Victorian Charm Inn was very comfortable and an experience of history. From the open dictionary with old-fashioned wire eyeglasses on it to the shelves sitting on long poles surrounding old radiators, no details were spared in recreating the feel of an old inn. On the modern side, my room(which was more like a suite) had a flat-screen TV, microwave, mini-fridge, and air-conditioner. There were options of continental breakfast(included) and full breakfast for an extra fee. Parking was easy. The price was well under the local chain hotels.

Been back in the Towanda area a few times in the last year. the Victorian Charm Inn is a great place to stay if you want to have a good place to stay and meet some great people. The owners were very pleasant and sincere. That is hard to find at many hotels. Would stay here again.

The Victorian Charm Inn is a quaint, Victorian home built in 1897 by J. A. Decker, a lumber baron and banker. It is a 30-room home that was converted into a B&B in the early 1900’s. My co-workers have been to the Victorian Charm Inn on many occassions for work-related matters. They have come to know the owner, Jack, and have spoken highly of him and the VCI. I found myself here for work this week and Jack had mentioned that the guys had told him to take care of me, which he has. Jack is very friendly and accomodating and breakfast is made to order! He is very welcoming and takes time for friendly conversation. The VCI is a beautiful place with original woodwork and appointed with antique furniture and décor. Each room has it’s own private bathroom and there is a veranda on the second floor which is nice for sitting outside and having your morning coffee. The VCI is like going back in time and is very relaxing — even if you are there for work!
