I’m very picky with chicken salad. Theirs is AMAZING! Fresh, no nasty fat pieces, and the added fruit gives it that extra kick. Their soups are also very tasty. I will be back.

We went in and the lady seating us said it would be a five minute wait. Fifteen minutes later, she gave our table to the people that were waiting behind us. We eventually left because of the wait. We were outraged at the poor organization of this establishment. They ruined our day. Thanks a lot atwaters.

On Unilocal, five stars is considered«Woohoo! As good as it gets!» and quite honestly, this is a gd understatement for this place. The baked goods? Amazing. The staff(or at least not the idiot 18 year-olds they keep hiring)? Supah nice and accommodating and they know their biz. The atmosphere? Adorable, cozy, and hella friendly. And then there’s that chicken salad. That. Effing. Chicken. Salad. GAMECHANGER. It’s other wordly — heavenly — made by the gods themselves and I’m monotheistic. I’ve been told it’s just standard ingredients, but I swear there’s something else in there. I’ve had legitimate in-depth conference-like conversations with people about that chicken salad. It will change your soul. Seriously, the place is always packed and I love going there whenever I’m in Baltimore/Towson. They use responsible, local ingredients and they consistently have new, delicious things on the menu. If people complain about price, they need to consider the fact that quality ingredients cost a little extra, but they’re worth it for taste and health. I know the first part of my review was slightly dramatic, but this place is the bomb dot com and deserves all the stars in the Milky Way.

So, my experience here was a little disappointing. This location has a drive-thru and I’m guessing for time sake they have a limited menu… which I found out after I was at the window to order. In my opinion, if you have a limited menu so that people aren’t waiting too long, then my thought and expectation is that the line should move… quickly. Well that was not the case. I order a half of chicken salad sandwich and a peach iced tea. I could see 2 cars ahead but I wasn’t stressing that. When I finally got to the window, my food was ready sitting on the counter. I have the lady my card in which she returns to me a clipboard with my receipt and pen for signature. The catcher is this: SHECLOSEDTHEWINDOW! So, now I’m sitting there with my hand dangling out the window to give her back this clipboard so I can get my food and drink and roll out. It took her about 2 minutes to acknowledge me and that was because I started waving the clipboard and the coworker’s she was having a co versatile with pointed to the window. I was a little irritated by that. The tea was unsweetened and I was not offered any sugar… and I felt for the money I paid it should’ve been offered. The chicken salad was delicious and had chunks of fruit which made it all the better. Good food but not so good customer service.

I went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed! I ordered food to go because there was a wait for a table but the host and the guy who took my order were both friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food and the coffee were great as well. I’m from out of town and was just in Baltimore visiting a friend so I’ve only been in the one time, but the service was so great that I felt compelled to write a review anyway. Even though it was super busy the host followed up to make sure I had been able to place an order already and the guy who took my order checked in to let me know it would be just a few more minutes before my food came out. I work in the industry and always appreciate that rare level of attention to detail and employees who seem to genuinely care.

My go to place for a latte. Iced or hot, it is always right. Embarrassingly, depending on my caffeine needs, I may visit multiple times in a day. The service is always great and I love the drive thru option on rainy days. In fact, I don’t think I would’ve survived early motherhood without the drive thru. No other place jn this area offers non fast food in this format. Love their fresh soups & salads as well. Always excited when the crab cake is on the menu. This location is small so get there early during peak hours if you want to dine in.

Soup, bread, sandwiches, salads, and coffee. This place is consistent and fresh. Always a lunch spot that I would suggest to people in the area, although it is often very crowded. Chicken salad is unreal. Would also recommend their desserts as they are not over sweetened. Staff have always been friendly and helpful, although I would still come here even if they weren’t.

Went to Atwater’s based on the reviews for their chicken salad. I wanted something good, easy, and fast for lunch, but not too fattening. Other reviewers commented on how tiny and crowded the restaurant is during peak hours, and they were not lying! I didn’t even bother to get out of my car, so I opted for the drive through. The drive through had only one car in front of me. Although convenient, the drive through is extremely narrow and tight, so be cautious of you have a large vehicle. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and rosemary chips. No drink. Those items alone came up to over $ 12! Definitely wasn’t expecting to pay that much. However, the sandwich was indeed amazing. The chicken, the golden raisins, the cranberries, the bread– even the chips were delicious! I’ll probably try to make the recipe myself to save money, but if I happened to be in the area & wanted to treat myself, I’d go again. =)

I actually think this Atwater’s is even better than the Canton one sometimes. They seem to have additional soup offerings here that I haven’t seen before. I also love how cozy it is, but it can be hard to get a table during peak times because it is so small.

Thank you Atwater’s for reinventing the brisket. You call it goulash soup, I call it — re-purposing leftovers. Brisket is one of my all time favorite dishes and you made it into soup. Big chunks of tender brisket, potatoes, carrots, veggies in a savory broth. Darn it — I shoulda gotten the bigger container! I vote for an Atwater’s in Howard County.

I have been here on different occasions. What’s great about this place is that their chicken salad and soup are amazing. They are sooo good that I am willing to pay for their overpriced food. No joke fam, the prices at this place are steep. When I do come, I usually wait an average of 10min to get my togo order. Not bad at all if I’m not in a hurry.(I say this because they have a drive thru which should be relatively quick… Usually it’s not). I usually always get the chicken salad sandwich which is usually on point minus the bread. The bread is usually hard, it kills my jaw trying to chew the bread crust. Like how hard is it to use fresh bread? Not trying to develop TMJ out here. And bruh, this place is smaller than your average Starbucks. Trying to maneuver inside this place is hard AF. If you’re fan of being claustrophobic, you will love this place. And the people working there are usually nice.

Definitely worth another shot! So, the only 2 negatives — short curly in my sandwich & walnut brownie was dry and uninspiring. Positives — Shrimp coconut curry soup — delish! Got a cup but it was so filling I have some left over. B.A.L.T.(A for Avocado) — fantastic minus the hair :( Service, small little place that was jam packed, but the server and host were very attentive, friendly and great at their jobs. So much more on the menu that I would like to try. I’m not going to let that little hair stowaway ruin this place for me. I am hoping it was just a fluke!!! I did have to stop eating for about 15 minutes though — bleh.

I’m writing this review with wholesome passion just as how people here make their food. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried at various Atwater’s locations: artisan coffee, bah mi sandwich, pot pie, gourmet soups, brunch, handmade ice cream, etc. Even the sides are made of high quality. If homemade heartiness and dinning worthy delicacy can coexist, this is where it is found. Atwater’s is much more than my favorite coffee shop, pastry shop, sandwich place, etc. It’s the best of it all so I find myself comfortable here any time of the day. One rule of thumb I can offer would be to try anything that interests you on the menu, you won’t be disappointed because their consistency in delivering quality food. If I have to choose one item on their menu to recommend, it would be the soups accompanied with the best bread I can dream of. Yum…

Got ½ the Portabella mushroom sandwich n ½ the chicken salad sandwich… both bread crusts were sooo hard!!! 1 was toasted, 1 was not… tasty sandwiches comes with a pickle. Small restaurant with plenty of parking available but may not have seating for larger groups. They do however have a drive thru.

You make Timonium exciting for me !! My fav place in the timonium-hunt valley-Towson area. Love love love this place. Where do I start !! Of course the lovely staff — Brooke is the sweetest. Then the food is so tasty and healthy(seldom do I not have to add spices to my food and this place tops the list of those places). Soups, sandwiches, salads — everything is lip smacking. I love their collection of breads and chocolates(dark chocolate lovers — it’s addictive). I also like their coffee. This place seems to have been made for me. Only request — please extend your hours this summer. I went there last Wednesday at 7:50 and it was just closed(where else can I get my best vegan soup ever !!)

I will start with: great chicken soup. I am never disappointed in the random soups I order, but the chicken is awesome. Just had the beef barley today and that was great too. The sandwiches are good. The half sandwiches make me feel like a giant that fell out of the beanstalk. I’m a tiny person, but these sandwiches(especially) half sizes make an uppity tiny triangle tea sandwich look like a Subway footlong. I get it. You’re all organic and have good healthy ingredients, but your food isn’t made of gold. Add a bit more to the portions. I’ve had the chicken salad, turkey(some variation), tofu banh mi today, and some other random ones. All have good flavor. Why am I giving them three stars? Their customer service is nice. Drive thru is surprisingly fast. But guess what? If I’m going to spend $ 6 on a freakin coffee drink, attempt to make it right. Humor me at least. A 16oz soy chai with an espresso shot became the most depressing whole milk latte I’ve ever tasted. No chai. No flavor. No soy. And it tasted more like a half shot of espresso. I was so excited to write a rave review. But today I am just sad I spent $ 30 and ended up this tired and hungry.

Inside Atwater’s is surprisingly cozy and is in the parking lot of the Shops at Kenilworth. I loved my salad with the scoop of chicken salad. I would definitely go back for that but will opt for a bigger salad! Also had the mushroom and barley soup which was disappointing because it was under seasoned. My SO ordered the chicken pot pie which was flavored well, but dry, and he said it was the size of a hockey puck. He ordered the beef and mushroom soup which had large chunks of mushroom and beef. I would definitely come back except Atwater’s can you please give us some softer bread with the soup?!

I could keep this simple and say that every meal they have served me has been a hit. It’s not the technical elegance of a 5-star restaurant. The feeling of a local place focused on quality and freshness makes this a favorite. The artisan breads with fresh soups. Wonderful, friendly servers. They just do it right. Also, while the parts are good, they manage to be even more than the sum. Go. Do yourself a favor.

If it weren’t for the prices I would come here for lunch everyday! The soups are AMAZING… My usual is to get half a sandwich and a cup of soup and it averages to about $ 10 or a little more. They are known for local ingredients and it really shows! Which is why paying top dollar isn’t that bad on an occasion. The chicken salad sandwich is always a favorite. Even the simple B.A.L.T.(bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato) is delicious with the reddest juiciest tomatoes! Only complaint is that it is a tiny venue, I almost always get it to go because getting a table is close to impossible. There were lots of people waiting when I got their for lunch last week. However, the ambiance is great here! Always busy, yet comforting and inviting. Oh and did I mention that they change their menu regularly and it is different based on what location you go to? The chicken salad is usually always on the menu, but the rest of the sandwiches and soups change regularly, even on a daily basis. But there is always something there that will catch your eye!
