Also, don’t even try to get a prescription refill. Kristin doesn’t listen, gives you multiple excuses, and hangs up on you mid-sentence. You go more than a week without getting your medication. Maybe sending them my hospital bills might get them in gear.

Dr. Khan is wonderful — always takes her time at every appointment and treats you like a real person!

Dr. Fratilla has the WORST bedside manner I’ve ever encountered. She refused to take my calls or speak to me regarding my thryoid disease until I paid my bill in full. She called the pharmacy to fill my script and then had it ERASED from their system. What’s worse is they never told me so I went to pick it up and it wasn’t filled. Even the pharmacy never saw something like this happen! She is a disgrace to physicians everywhere and GBMC and Bay West should be aware of how rudely she treats her patients. I will NEVER go back!

Dr. Fratilla is my doctor. She’s gentle, understanding and very patient. Knowledgeable and when it comes to women’s hormonal issues I wouldn’t see anyone else. Unless she goes and retires on me. It can be a bit of a fiasco to get through the gauntlet of receptionists. It’s a busy office, but hang in there and you won’t be disappointed. Well, I can only speak for Dr. Fratilla and of that, it’s 5 stars.

Hmmm. I must say that my experience here at Bay West wasn’t nearly as bad as the previous reviewer’s. I was given a referral here by the diabetes educator at St. Joe’s when I was diagnosed, and I’m very glad that she did, because I received excellent service here. The assistants and lab staff were very pleasant, even when faced with obvious challenges and difficulties(and let me tell you, there WERE quite a few in that waiting room). This practice is very, VERY busy; I had arrived way too early for my appointment and decided to wait the time out — in the 90 minutes I had to wait, they must have had 30 people come in the door, and this was on a Friday morning! If you get Dr. Pao as your endocrinologist, you simply cannot do any better. She was friendly, polite and very professional — she took a lot of time with me and answered every question that I had about my condition, how to manage it, and made sure that my medications were straight and that I wouldn’t have any trouble filling them(a huge point there, as my previous reviews for several CVS locations will show). Make very, VERY sure that your appointment is for the day you want it, or that you call to reschedule it in time — a missed appointment here will cost you 125 dollars! Yes, they are THAT busy. Believe me. I received terrific service here, and am very glad that I was referred to Dr. Pao. If you’re unfortunate enough to require services of this kind, you will be more than happy with the treatment plans offered here. Very much recommended.

It’s rather unfortunate that their physicians’ assistants provide atrocious customer service. Frankly I won’t go back there now to see my previous doctor, who was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and kind and a good doctor is really hard to find. Without getting into too much detail, I called to pose a question for my doctor, which of course was fielded by their assistant. I received a call back from the PA with her asking me if I knew what kind of doctor she was(obviously, I’ve been seeing her for how long now) and essentially telling me I had no idea what I was talking about. She then asked me what I saw my doctor for and if I wanted to make an appointment with her; at which point, I said I was now questioning doing so since her customer service skills were so bad. What was her response? «Fine.» *click* She actually hung up the phone on me! On that note, I’m looking for referrals for a good endocrinologist. Please send names my way!
