Service was fine, estimator and whatnot were fine, but the service is just pointless. It offers only a bit better shine then what you could do yourselves. Go the extra mile and get a true sanded refinish. 5 mo after my service you can’t even tell. Don’t waste the money.

We hired Mr. Sandless to refinish our floors about 2 years ago. After they pulled out the carpeting and inspected the wood thoroughly, they informed us that there were too many nail holes and areas that would need to be replaced to give us a quality result. They suggested replacing the floors instead, which we decided to do. He gave us several hardwood options within our price range and tips on which colors are the strongest stains (cherry finishes are more susceptible to scratches than other finishes FYI). They installed the new floors as quickly as possible and were communicative with us through out the process. The floors are gorgeous and have held up for nearly 2 years without one scratch that actually penetrated the stain. The quote to get the floor and staircase refinished was around $ 3k and the quote for the floors to be replaced and the staircase refinished was about $ 4k. Not a huge difference in price!
The only reason why I gave them 4 stars is because they refinished our staircase «to match» the new hardwoods and the tone of the stain on the stair case is significantly lighter than the floors. They’re worn with so many scratches already, and the team that refinished the steps got some stain on the white trim surrounding the steps and banister. I felt that the stair crew rushed the job. If I’d known they would turn out poorly, I would have opted to purchase pre-​finished treads that really did match the floors and have those installed. I think I ought to review the contract and see if there’s any chance I can get them to come out and fix them up a bit.
I would hire them again, though, because they were fast, reasonably priced, willing to travel out of their usual area to work with us, and I believe they have a great warranty if my memory serves me right.

Mr. Sandless was amazing for us. Our floors turned out beautiful and we are extremely satisfied.
