So I’m torn on this place. We went for dinner with some friends the other night, and while some of us had a great experience, some of us didn’t. First, the good. I am dealing with some food allergies, so I don’t go out to eat often. This place was BEYOND accommodating, though. When I mentioned allergies to the server, he had the sous-chef come out to speak with me, which was awesome. Then, when my food was brought out, the sous-chef personally apologized for the delay, and explained that it takes longer b/c they wash/sanitize all the equipment and cook allergy foods separately. Now, I don’t have life-threatening allergies, so I wouldn’t count on this for severe allergies, but it was above and beyond what other places do. And my dinner was delicious. Now, the bad. Service was sooooooo slow. The place was empty b/c we were there on the early side, and it was still slow. One person in our party got the filet medium-rare, and it came out well-done. She sent it back, and when it came back, it was cooked properly, but ICE cold in the center. By that time, we had all finished our meals, so she just took it to go. It was disappointing and frustrating. So, that’s why it’s 3 stars. Some good, some bad. It would be worth another shot, though, especially as a nice date night in Towson.

Just went to this place for a Friday night dinner… best place in Towson! Mathew was our server and is a total pro. We had the braised lamb meatballs, the calamari, the rockfish and a dessert. You can tell the chef takes his/her time in both flavor and presentation. A true hidden gem! Try this place now if you are in Towson. Drinks were great and a long weekend happy hour 12 – 7.

Stopped in on a slow Saturday afternoon before catching a movie. The Maryland crab soup was quite good. Wow is all I can say about the Mahi Mahi tacos. I heard great feedback on the Burger w/Bacon Jelly(though u didn’t try it myself). The fries were even an experience. A highly recommended find.

Service was good and food was decent. Nothing spectacular. Had the steamed shrimp appetizer and filet for my entrée. The filet was lacking seasoning and flavor hence the lower rating. Nice ambience but would not return.

This is probably my favorite place to eat in Towson. The all the food taste delicious(app, entrée, desert). They fish tacos are flaky and flavorful. The lamb burger and the lamb meatballs melt in your mouth and are my favorite dishes here. I think they make there own ice cream and they have some really great flavors like Chai tea ice cream and the cappuccino ice cream is my favorite. The Sunday brunch is a great deal(~$ 25), they have the usual breakfast food like an area for a chef to make an omelets to order, pancakes, chai tea French toast(OMG so good), etc. They have some good seafood for brunch like grilled salmon, chilled shrimp, whipped potatoes, etc. I did not realized they would have such a good brunch and was pleasantly surprised.

I was there when it first started, food was really great, I especially loved the heirloom salad but I tried to order there again and see the changes in menu so I got the lamb burger for lunch as take out and this was a BIGDISAPPOINTMENT!!! My fries were so hard and over cooked, it’s like they have me a day old fries, it was cold also, my burger wasn’t all that great nor was the other burger my friend had which was one of my favorites, he didn’t even eat his, just took three bites and threw it away, a waste of 14 – 16 dollars for a burger that taste like 12. Very rude chiefs who believe they are somehow«Baltimore’s best» I know some Greek cooks that can make better dishes then the chiefs, I will try this spot one more time and order something different but I tasted the whole menu before and it was delicious but that’s upon first opening, not sure if they have gotten«lazy»

One of Towson’s best kept secrets. Went for the Sunday brunch and the place was close to empty. I’m not sure why. All you can eat oysters, crab and salmon omelets, and mimosas, you can’t go wrong. Nice atmosphere, worth the venture.

This place is so uneven, it’s hard to rate them. Ok, so the servers need to be better-trained. I ordered hot tea and was not given a pot of water. The server just took the cup every time I asked for more tea and brought the same cup back to me with fresh hot water. I had several cups because it was freezing in there, and had to make do with the same tea bag. We ordered oysters before even looking at the menu because we were starving. We were there during Preakness, and were seated within view of the raw bar. I watched the oyster shucker put down our oysters to turn around and watch the race. After the race, she returned to shucking, only to stop again after to to watch the replay. My husband complained to our waitress and her response was, «sorry, her horse won.» Um, maybe if she was so invested, she should have not agreed to work that night. Just sayin’. On to the food. The homemade hot sauce for the oysters tasted like nothing. Not only was it not hot, it didn’t taste of anything else. The Greek salad dressing was equally devoid of flavor, although the veggies were fresh. And speaking of bland, if Outback Steakhouse can have salt and pepper grinders on the table, why can’t this supposedly upscale restaurant. The charcuterie plate was disgusting. Now, we order charcuterie plates everywhere we go, and they usually feature a mixture of more exotic(the one at Mr. Rain’s had a rabbit sausage, the one at Clementine has a duck mousse) and more accessible meats(like prosciutto). This was all weird and gross tasting: a pork mousse, blood sausage, head cheese, ugh. Our server did replace this with sliders, as she said she usually warns people it’s exotic. But, really, isn’t it your job to make a delicious product no matter the ingredients? I mean, I never would have thought I’d like duck liver or rabbit, but… The reason they do get three stars is that when it’s right here, it’s right. The calamari, steak tartare, and lamb meatballs were all delicious. I don’t think I’ll go back, though. There are way too many good restaurants at this price point.

If I could give Zero stars, I would without hesitation. We sat at our table for 10 minutes without a waiter, no water, nothing. The hostess was 10 feet away and said she didn’t notice. We had to ask for menus, bread, and silverwear. My salmon was overcooked. My husband’s NY strip steak and veggie were charred(see photo). I also never received my Brussel sprout side order, AND our waiter was the bartender… so he was MIA and clueless. What a horrible Mother’s Day experience. I will never patronize this restaurant again.

New to the area and so pleased that I found this restaurant. It is a bit hidden due to the construction across the street, but once you get there you’ll be happy you did. Complimentary valet, half price drinks and oysters 4 – 7 Monday through Friday and noon to 7 on Saturday AND Sunday. Amazing deal for the quality. I had Naked Cowboy oysters and they were fresh, expertly shucked and delicious! For my entrée I had steak, portion and sides were plentiful and tasted great. Large bar and beautiful décor. Staff was extremely friendly and service-oriented. Highly recommend!

Walking in, the décor is very nice. Towson needed a nice space like this for drinks and dinner. For a Friday night, it was pretty quiet. I was a little surprised to see more of a 50+ crowd. My favorite thing about the menu is that gluten free items are clearly marked. There were plenty of options for this GF girl. We started with a dozen oysters. They were the highlight of the evening. There was a good variety of freshly shucked oysters. I order the salmon and my date order the tuna with a side of brussel sprouts to share. I was less impressed with our entrees when they arrived. My date order his tuna medium rare, and it came out medium well. He sent it back. By the time he got a new piece of fish, I was done with my entrée, it took about 10 – 15 minutes for a new fish. It did arrive at the right temperature, but with little apology. Both pieces of fish did not appear fresh. They were clearly of the frozen variety. I was not impressed with the quality of the seafood. If I return, it will just be for oysters and drinks. I’ll grab dinner somewhere else.

Amazing experience. Great atmosphere. Appetizers and small plates are all wonderful — shrimp — tuna — oysters — crab legs — pork and cheese plate(forget the French name for the pork, but interesting and very good). Try a flight of the local beers. Ask for Matt — amazing knowledgeable server.

New favorite in the heart of Towson! Nice, upscale ambience. Delicious seafood. Great selection of small & prime raw oysters! Wonderfully large booths. Very chill music. Big screen TVs(which lots of folks love) don’t feel too intrusive. Has a great local feel while also providing very comfortable hospitality. Spotless rest rooms. Blake, our server, was exceptional. Spyros Stavrakas, the wonderful owner, has such a warm, welcoming presence. I’ve been invited to host some singles events(ages 30+) there and am very much excited to be doing so at this local gem! In the heart of Towson, there aren’t many, if any, real options for an upscale seafood! And it’s literally steps away from a brand new dance club(though geared to 20-somethings) and soon-to-be opened movie theater.

This has to be one of Towson’s best undiscovered secrets. It is tucked away but worth finding. Based on what the bartender told me, it is a relatively new addition to the Towson area, open less than a year ago. The space is beautiful but not overly pretentious. A friend and I came in for drinks on a Sunday. It wasn’t very busy so we just took a seat at the bar. The happy hour offers great drink specials as well as an oyster bar. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had the wagu beef sliders and my friend had mussels which were both delicious! Overall just a really great experience and very reasonably priced. Great alternative to all the chain restaurants in the area. Definitely will be back.

Overall, pretty good meal. Good crowd for a midweek dinner. Not too crowded but just enough noise and people to not feel alone and have the server hover. Speaking of which, Todd K, our server was very professional. Impressed by the way he handled our table. He wasn’t about impressing with menu knowledge as much as he had a good touch on when to be present and when to back off. As for the food, I has the wed special — steamed whole Maine lobster stuffed with crab imperial for $ 29. Lobster was very good. Moist and sweet. Cooked well. Crab imperial was unnecessary. Bc of it lobster was baked and I think it could have been better just steamed and left to itself. Came with a side of sautéed mushrooms. Side dish was the weakest part of the meal. Which if this holds for OBG, then they have a good future. Most impressive dish was the raw clams. Large cherry stones, with cocktail sauce. Did not come with true minorette but clams were plump, clean and very sweet with minimal salt taste. Overall, excellent service, good food, and pleasant atmosphere, all in a tidy 90mins = a returning customer.

Food was excellent which is most important but the service is comparable, friendly without being pretentious. The only complaints would be that it gets quite loud due to the acoustics of the open space and the bottom bun of the lamb burger was soggy by the time the plate hit the table. Honestly though, it tasted so good that I didn’t much mind by the third bite.

The décor and atmosphere is nice. The food is subpar. The mussels are tasteless, the lamb chops were small, didnt look fresh. I would say save yourself the time and go to Troya less than a mile away. Will not come back.

Hit this place up. It’s in the location of a formerly awesome-ish NICE place in towson. I was looking for something a bit more upscale and refined in Towson and coming up short… This place does the trick with an above-average wine and cocktail offerings and an amazing selection of osysters. Worth a try when you’re in Towson and looking for something that isn’t a fratbar or chain. This da place!

Oyster Bay Grille a part of a continuous effort to bring more up-scale dining to the Towson area. Recently opening next to the back portion of the Rec Room, Oyster Bay is in a good location and offers complimentary valet parking. The interior is very aesthetically pleasing with modern chicness, with huge circular overhead lamps, a thick granite top bar that spans half the restaurant and an open yet warm feel. The menu is cleverly devised but the prices are a bit high, especially for a restaurant boasting a Baltimore county zip code. We started with fried oysters and lobster bisque. The soup was very tasty with pieces of lobster and a hint of sherry. The fried oysters were very disappointing however. The oysters didn’t taste fresh and there was substantially too much breading. A more clever presentation would have been helpful too, for example putting the fried oyster back on the half shell and putting a citrus micro salad on top — instead they were just sitting piled high in an interestingly shaped bowl. Entrees consisted of the grilled mahi-mahi tacos, and the burger. The burger was actually delicious, with freshly ground beef tightly pressed and cooked perfectly. The accompaniments of arugula, Irish cheddar, and roasted garlic aioli on a brioche bun were all spot-on with the burger. The mahi tacos were a bit inconsistent; one of the tacos was served on a flour tortilla and the other two being on soft corn tortillas. The flour tortilla taco was very delicious with nicely cooked fresh and a nice lime crema sauce, while the other two tacos were dry and the fish was a bit overcooked. The fries that came with the tacos were very good however. All in all it was a decent meal but quite pricey, most entrees go up to $ 30 and the quality doesn’t always justify the cost. The drinks were good and the staff was friendly, however the food needs a bit of work. I admit this could just be regular growing pains of a new restaurant — time will tell.

Gonna make this as quick as possible. Went with 6 people at 9 for a reservation on Saturday August 24. Ordered 8 apps to start including 2 dozen oysters. The only thing that was good were the oysters and they were made in the ocean. All the other food was ok at best. We had to ask for silverware and plates every time food hit the table. Ordered entrees, they took forever to come out with 4 other tables in the restaurant. When the food hit the table it seemed like half the food sat in the window for a bit cause some came out room temperature, some cold some hot. Asked for the woman manager to come by and we let her know about our experience and she came up with excuses. I worked in the restaurant business for 20 years so there’s no BS’N me. For these prices just go to Linwood’s, its really the only good place in Baltimore. I could go on and on but I’m done, my hands hurt from typing this.
