Great dive bar if you find yourself in the area after big box shopping and want to grab a drink. Bartenders are old but efficient, and make some of the strongest(&cheapest)drinks I’ve ever had(specifically, vodka cranberrys, don’t be a jerk and order a cosmo or anything). All kinds of ways to gamble inside if that’s your thing, this bar is all regulars but they were all as friendly as can be. My buddy ordered a liverwurst sandwich(gross) from here and said it was great, I had a burger and honestly it was great for bar food. Don’t come here with high expectations and you’ll have a great time.

I went to The Raven Inn last night to purchase carry out beers since there weren’t any liquor stores by my house open at the time. We approached the bar and the 2 bartenders working completely ignored us at least 5 times. Yes it was the super bowl and yes it was a little busy, but everyone at the bar had been helped and were seated. I had never been here before so I didn’t know if I had to purchase the beer at the bar so I was trying to get help from one of the bartenders. I’m not a «regular» so I got stares from all the patrons which already made me feel uncomfortable then we just kept getting ignored so we left. I will never return to this establishment and learned my lesson, if I need to purchase beer on Sunday’s I will just drive a little further to Firehouse where I am always greeted and not made to feel uncomfortable.

Atmosphere is blue collar regulars and worn. Has dining room to the side that could really be revamped and used to great benefit but now is like an old employee cafeteria break room. Happy hour is not good pricing at all compared to other local establishments with way better atmosphere. Food is geared toward nursing home style. Owners and employees are super pleasant but the place, food and atmosphere is drab. They used to run some decent daily specials but even those got jacked up price wise for plain blah food. For same price there’s way better in the neighborhood. oOh yeah… shhhhhhh… juke box shouldn’t be played if they have anything going on in the dining room because they don’t want to close separation doors.

The perfect description of this spot? West Virginia with a taste of Baltimore mixed in. If you weren’t looking for this place you would drive right past it but this is the Honeycomb Hideout Hellcat you’re reading from so this sinkhole in the wall is right up my alley. Every time I’ve come here I’ve had the pleasure of being the only person of color in the whole bar but after sitting down, ordering a strong drink, food & nodding my head to the country/classic rock playing on the jukebox, we all get along swimmingly! This small little bar also has a dimly lit seating section attached to it, but I’ve been there about 6 times, driven past there about 80 times, and never seen a soul in there except some drunkard who got lost on his way to the bathroom(bless their blue-collared soul). Drinks are fairly priced… could use some better drink specials but I guess it’s not such a bother there since the clientele are locals-be it nearby business employees or neighborhoodies(yes that’s my own word but you can borrow it). Food specials are THEBIZZOMB!!! Cheap daily kitchen specials that are pretty tasty for a spot of this magnitude. My fave? The pound of steamed shrimp for $ 8…I get it with the onions in it!(If you just screwed your face up you can kindly exit this review as you must not be from Baltimore, please and thanks). I’m told the cheesesteaks are good too and the wings can be great if you get them well done. And for your bar gamblers out there, there’s the TV animated horse racing game as well as Keno. I personally like to watch the horse racing game because it plays the Camptown Races song, to which I hums the jingle faithfully… but to myself though, don’t want the patrons to get the wrong idea…
