Nothing special. Friday’s/chilis style food. Cheap drinks and good happy hour specials. The décor is trying to be chic but falls short. It’s seems like it has an identity crisis. Part bar l, part restaurant and has a club layout for nighttime parties. There was a good crowd but it’s probably the prices more so than the quality that bring people in.

I’ve had their food a couple of times and I’ve never been wowed by their food. On occasions I go for HH since its cheap and ½ price apps. For me their food is Sysco esque/processed mixed in with fresh ingredients. This week coworkers wanted to go to this place since the boss was paying; I couldn’t pass up a free meal. Ordered the fish tacos with a side of rice, and it was a bad idea. The tilapia fish was greasy and the edges were hard and dry. My deduction it was either old and the left out or double fried. The worst part is when I took a bite I could smell a whiff of rancid oil. Not on every bite which was weird but regardless it was there at times. Anyways I cut all the hard edges of the fish which ultimately in the end I had a veggie taco. The side rice was bland and al dentate or wasn’t thoroughly cooked. If your wondering why I didn’t complain well it was a boss’s treat and I wanted to keep the festive atmosphere in our small group. The only benefit of this experience, it reconfirmed my view of their food.

I have been here many times and even had a 30th birthday party here a few years back. I keep coming back for many reasons including the food, service and atmosphere. My most recent experience here was a surprise birthday party I put together for my wife with a lot of help from the manager Boyko. I knew what I wanted to do but needed guidance to actually make it happen. Boyko made this process extremely easy and helped in every single aspect. He made the food planning part easy and gave me a lot of helpful recommendations. He worked with me on the timing of everything and of course he was there to help that night with anything we needed. The service at 7 West is wonderful we had a dinner party of 15 where our server was awesome! She was extremely attentive and made sure everyone had what he or she needed. Not only was our server great but we also had an additional 30 guests come a few hours later and the service they received was great as well. The buffet that was set up was perfect and was fully stocked the entire night. The food is great at 7 West. I am an extremely picky eater yet I pretty much love everything they have. When you are here you need to get the seared ahi tuna, I can eat plate after plate of this. The dinner options are wonderful too. We had lamb chops, bronzini and crab cakes and each one was amazing. I was very happy to know that we had so much food left over because I got to enjoy it for the next few days. To sum everything up, 7 West is a wonderful place for a dinner, a night out or like in my case an event with amazing food, wonderful service and a fun atmosphere that will get any party started quickly. If you are looking to plan an event large or small than you absolutely need to check out 7 West, speak to Boyko and begin your planning. Once you do, you will now what I am talking about here and you will begin planning more and more events here once you see how great it is. Thank you to the entire 7 West team for making our event amazing!

I had the Greek salad with chicken. The chicken was rubbery and it took a long time to get my food even thought the place was empty.

I recently went to a birthday party for a friend at seven west. My friend was nice enough to get us all hor devours(or however you spell it lol) while we had a bunch of drinks at the bar. The place seemed really upscale but the drink prices were more than reasonable. Service was awesome from bartender and the DJ went on at 1030ish. The DJ was really talented, i was kind of surprised someone that good playing at a restaurant /nightclub in Towson. He was video DJ’ing too which was an added plus as well. The dance floor is a decent size so you dont have to worry about bumping into everyone. Another group of girls had a party as well they seemed like they were enjoying themselves as well. I will be back for dinner and give an updated review, but so far A++++++ for service, atmosphere and drinks!

Looks shady from the outside but the interior is really nice. It was empty for a late dinner on Sunday night. The service was pretty good, nothing exceptional. The appetizers, feta cubes and mozzarella sticks were really good. The main course, chicken souvlaki and buffalo wings were mediocre. While the price was great, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The prices are reasonable. I had the pastitsio. The first couple of bites seemed pretty good, but then my impression faded fairly quickly. I have had better pastitsio at other restaurants such as the Nautilus Diner in Timonium. Another person had the spinach ravioli. She thought she was going to get spinach in the raviolis but it turned out the be cheese raviolis made with spinach pasta. They were swimming in sauce. She said the flavor was good, just not what she was expecting. The other people thought there meals were good, so I should perhaps give it 3 stars.

I frequent 7West quite often and have given a few parties here too! They have a good happy hour menu from 4−7pm…my fav appetizers are the coconut shrimp, crab dip and lamb chops. We cant forget about the drinks. The 7West Martini is their signature cocktail and it tastes soooo good. The Sangria is a hit too! I am from Maryland so you know we love anything that has crab in it. Their crab soup and crab cakes are mmmmm mmmmm good. The crab cakes are huge and they are reasonably priced. The manager Boyko and bartender Erin are very personable and they take care of their customers. You will not be disappointed. If you want to enjoy the football game, they have several tvs around the bar.

I am eating fruit and yogurt because I just walked away from my dinner here. I ordered from the gluten free menu and they made every mistake in the book. The chicken was greasy, the rice cold and the beans disgusting. That was their second attempt, the first time the chicken showed up on sierian bread… My daughters burger was not cooked properly. The place needs a complete overhaul of menu and staff training. This was my second attempt here, the last time I had a salad but my fellow dinners didn’t like it. I won’t be going back and suggest you go elsewhere.

I loved the happy hour here with 6 of my co-workers. The drinks were really good and strong. The appetizers were really good too. The best part is I had 3 apps and 3 drinks for $ 27 with tax! Parking is free after 6pm on the street. Ohh, and I hear it was renovated– it looks great!(I have no «before» reference, lol)

Allow me to preface this by saying, this is my first review. That holds bearing only in the fact that I am a new Unilocaler, not that the restaurant compelled me to write a review due to good/bad experiences. Everyone has to start somewhere. I have been by Seven West a few times, walking the town or en-route to another venue. The first time was late at night, around 12 am. My girlfriend and I were doing some urban exploring(i.e. Ingress) and passed by what we thought to be an old-folks disco lounge. The outside was littered with drunk 50 – 60 year olds in various states of inebriation. The music was up-beat and the atmosphere almost inviting were it not for the elderly amorphous figures gyrating on every surface. I digress… During the day time however, the outside is clean(by Towson standards) and the menu is posted conveniently on the window. Apparently the doors stick, requiring the handy«push hard» stickers on the doors. My girlfriend and I found ourselves getting rained on and decided to grab some«American cuisine with a Mediterranean twist». Upon entering, you see a large, fully stocked bar to your left next to a medium sized open expanse and a pretty large seating area. The temperature was very comfortable and we were seated at a cute 2 — person table. The restaurant was pretty empty, but filled quickly as we were about to leave(Mother’s Day groups). We were given our menu’s(which could use a good cleaning) and our waitress quickly followed with our water. We decided to go with the Mozzarella sticks as an app, my girlfriend got the Chicken Souvlaki(potatoes and green beans/side) and I got the Hanger steak(potatoes and broccoli/side). The best thing I can say about the mozz sticks is that i’ve had them before. They are the mass produced, rectangular mozz sticks you get at every cheap diner. For 7 dollars I guess you cant complain too much, but I was hoping for more. The main dishes came out in a reasonable amount of time, and were hot and ready. I asked for my mushrooms on the side, which was a good decision, as they were literally swimming in butter. My steak was swimming in a blood tinted pool of butter, and by the end of the meal I felt like I had been dipped in butter myself. The steak itself was cooked the way I wanted but had a little too much garlic for my tastes. The broccoli was steamed nicely and the potatoes had a nice crisp on them, although one of the three looked raw. I took a picture(not posted) and not five minutes later a man(presumably a manager) came by and asked us if everything was okay. He was very kind and seemed to know I had taken a picture and was trying to gauge if something was wrong and if it could be fixed. All told, Seven West was kind of like another chain restaurant. I didn’t get a very Mediterranean spread, so I cannot speak on that twist, but what I did have just didn’t stand out to me. I would go back, but not as a first choice. The night life on the weekends however, seemed very lively… which is a compliment considering the crowd.

I’ve heard about 7 west being a «cute small plates, Mediterranean» place and I’m pretty sure they were talking about a different restaurant. Seven West has an older drinking crowd on the weekends and during the week it’s semi-busy. Dark wood and spacious, it’s still nicely lit and reminds me of an old wooden ship… not in a bad way. Anyways, I believe the description for the restaurant is «American with a Mediterranean Twist»… let’s just say by American they mean Paula Dean esque… lots and lots of butter on everything. My chicken souvlaki dish wasn’t bad, it was just greasy. The stewed green beans weren’t bad, just greasy. The chicken was flavored well but overall the dish was just too heavy. Kind of sad because I love the fresh-ness of Mediterranean food but this place was everything but

I’ve been here once. The wait was super long so we told the hostess we’d be at the bar until our table was ready. We were literally at the bar for an hour and they never called our table… because it was only two of us we decided to eat at the bar which was okay. To be honest with you, I don’t even remember what I ate(I’m writing this review a long time after i visited). Needless to say, I was less than impressed and I won’t be back!

Went here for brunch today and the food was good. I had the egg white omelette and it was quite large but filled with spinach and feta. They have a large menu and I would definitely go back.

The atmosphere is very calming and never to loud. The food is always great and happy hour prices are unbeatable. If you have a chance check out their brunch it’s a great deal for reasonable price. One of my favorite spots in Towson! I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!

I can’t recommend this place. The food is very hit or miss and the service is terrible. They are cheap, though, I’ll give them that. Very inexpensive an huge portions. The dip sampler was good, but order it with extra pita. The fish roe was pretty tasty, although not something I’d order on it’s own, the eggplant dip was pretty bland, and the hummus and tzatziki were both very good. The calamari was better than average, though not mind blowing or anything. I thought the marinara was really good, but waaaay to garlicky in the aftertaste. The Greek salad was ok– the dressing was really good, but the tomatoes were really underripe and the feta was bland. So, the pastas were pretty good. Again, nothing inventive or amazing but good. They don’t make their own, but the sauces were good, and the pasta itself wasn’t horribly over cooked or anything. I wouldn’t order more complicated things though. I mean, a place with riblets on the menu isn’t going to make an amazing whole fish or anything. My brother ordered that. Indeed, it wasn’t good. The service was criminally bad. Not only was the waiter inattentive to the point of glasses being left and orders not being taken from some people at the table, but he was kind of rude, too. There are not a lot of great places in Towson, but definitely skip this one.

I went on a Saturday night. I happened to be up in Towson for a 2 day long licensing exam– so I wasn’t exactly in the mood for a big crazy place, I just wanted some good, fresh food and minimal chit chat with strangers. Seven West was a little off-putting from what I expected when I first walked in. After looking at the menu and the reviews on Unilocal,I was sure that this would be more of a little bistro than a big sports bar like atmosphere. But, it totally worked out. The place probably had 40 customers and still felt empty. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and helped with my indecisiveness between ahi and octopus. The food came quickly and I nearly ordered a second round of the Ahi. I was a little surprised with the high quality of the ahi, considering I was still sinking into the sports bar atmosphere. Overall, if I ever need to come back to Towson, I would go here again. I think this place works on such a variety of levels– date night, watch a game, friends at the bar, whatever. Very satisfied.

I’ve eaten here a number of times now, and it is consistently satisfying. 3.5 stars, rounded up. A mix of Mediterranean cuisines, the menu includes Greek items like pastitsio and moussaka, and Italian pasta dishes, as well as an array of fishes and other meats, salads, etc. My favorite thing to get is the Ahi Tuna salad, which comes with a creamy wasabi dressing. They also have really good Greek-style green beans, a unique and delicious side that stands out. The fiery roasted eggplant dip is fantastic, as is the tzatziki, but the taramasalata was way too salty. I’ve had the pastitsio, and that is pretty good. Also dependably delicious are the lamb and the crab cakes. One thing that wasn’t great was a fish dish where the fish was breaded and fried– the outer coating was so tough it was almost inedible. The service is very variable, and I have been there on multiple occasions where we had to wait 20 minutes or more for a waiter, and then wait some more for refills, check, and pretty much everything. Service seemed better recently, but nevertheless I wouldn’t eat here if you are in a hurry. Also, it is always very cold inside, so I advise bringing a sweater. They have meager dessert choices, baklava and maybe one other thing, so not great for the sweets aficionado. Parking: they have valet, but I’ve never had a problem parking on the street nearby, where parking is free after a certain time(6 or 7, don’t remember which. There are also some garages in the area.

Chris was my server on this glorious day filled with happy hour drinking. He was nice and answered all questions fired at him. I ordered a raspberritini and mozzarella sticks waiting for my slow, lagging party to arrive. Once my party arrived they ordered, whatever the hell they ordered, and I ordered a melon mania. The raspberritini was sweet and delicious. The melon mania wasn’t sweet enough. I tasted my sisters pineapple upside down martini. She liked it, I hated it. My sister ordered the coconut shrimp were sweet by itself and tangy with the sauce. I liked them without the sauce. My sister also ordered the calamari. It was way too fishy for my liking! I’m not used to such fishy calamari. Especially when you tasted it. You could smell it a block away. Plus some pieces were the whole squid which gives me the creeps. I feel so bad for them, chilling on my plate when they could be swimming. My friend had the Mediterranean salad and the spinach spanakopita, yum yum yum. Nice and flaky. Service was great, drinks were flowing and food was consumed. Didn’t hear any complaints from my party so we had the ideal experience.
