This was probably the worst service EVER. We walked in and it was a Sunday night, not busy at all. Sat down at the bar which had about 6 employees standing behind it, having personal conversations. I was greeted by no one, then in passing asked the girl that sat us, if she could help us. She then whispered something to a young bald guy behind the bar. He exclaimed like, «oh soooo sorry«obviously talking about the fact he didn’t come greet us. She got us our drinks and my girlfriend and I decided to leave as soon as we finished drinking them. We asked for our bill. Which of course was wrong and double charging us. It took about 4 employees just to figure out what was wrong. One of which, an older black gentleman was drinking a beer! They fixed it. We left. AVOIDAVOIDAVOID. So many better bars in towson.

I have been a few times. Once for couple of beers before a movie and once for a Saturday night with friends. Both times were good and I enjoyed myself. I have only had the Bavarian Pretzels there, but they are large in size and quite tasty with the mustard they serve. The beer selection is quality and the servers seem to be knowledgable. I will be back!

I want to give this place a good rating, but I just can’t. My chicken tacos were pretty good, but the tater tots were horrible, didn’t even eat half of them. Over cooked tater tots are not good. My buddy got the Ahi Tuna tacos and couldn’t even find tuna in them. Beer selection is meh… Couldn’t really find anything I haven’t had before

Great Beer Selection and Wings! I have tried a couple of food options and everything was good. I also ordered wings to my house via Order Up and they not only showed up very hot, but both flavors were delicious.

I was on vacation for a week and spent some time in Baltimore. I was walking around all day and built up a serious thirst. I walked into this place almost by accident and couldn’t believe how many choices there were. I mean east coast beer is inferior to anything on the west coast especially if it’s from San Diego, but this place had everything, even, you favorite beer sculpin which I didn’t think the east coast was smart enough to know about. So I had a few of those and then changed over to this one beer called blithering idiot. It was an 11.1% which is pretty intense, unless your a pro drinker like me so I got 4 before I threw up. It was really good. People complained that the prices were a little high, but they were totally reasonable for what I am used too. If you want a great beer like sculpin you have to pay a few more bucks for true art. This place was great, not the best but still great.

Where to begin… Ok so the beer is there, lots of choice– great, pricing is quite high(8.00 for a pretzel — are you kidding me??? In Germany they’re 2 to 4 euros and way better). The poke is terrible for anyone that’s ever had poke in Hawaii. In Hawaii the focus on the poke is the fish. Here it’s a convoluted diversion of spicy additions and crisps, you’re getting more of that and less of the good stuff, yet again it’s priced like it is all fish. In short, skip the poke — it’s like ordering a Cuban sandwich in Milwaukee. I’ve been to WOB a few times to try some things and nothing so far is impressive. They advertise knowledgeable staff — but it’s knowledgeable compared to other places where servers know next to nothing about their beer choices. This may have been my last time as the food is so-so, and the happy hour is nothing to speak of. The acoustics are terrible when a band is playing. Can’t say this location will prosper with competition like BJ’s next door, but you never know.

I didn’t think I would like this place, but I really did! On the outside it seems like just another chain restaurant. But the service was very friendly, the menu features yummy food, and the beer list is extensive(although maybe not as large as you’d imagine for a place called«World of Beer»). I was there with a group of friends after a movie. We started with a pretzel with beer cheese sauce. It was delish! Not enough for 6 people to share, but definitely big enough for 2 – 3 people to share happily. I had the BBQ Bacon Burger with the sauce of the side. Very tasty. Not a huge burger, but filling(esp with the pretzel to start). My friend had wings and they were awesome! A few others had tacos, and said they were also very good. This is a great spot for pre/post movie snacks. Will return soon!

World of beer is spot on! Perfect for when you are looking to kill some time before a movie or in the area. They have tons of beer on tap and an unlimited selection of world wide bottle beers. I’ve stopped in several times and always sit at the bar. The service is excellent, with multiple bar tenders ready to take your order or let you sample a draft that is unfamiliar. I tried the food for the first time the other day. The Guinness sliders(made with sausage instead of beef) are awesome and seasoned spicy. Try the monstrous pretzel! I will certainly be back.

Great beer selection and good food. But of the six different beers my husband and I had — EVERY one had a significant head on it. That’s 2 — 3 oz of head in every beer. The bartender knew how to pour and made the effort to minimize it, but still. EVERY beer.

Although an extensive list of beer to try the first one I asked for off the menu they didn’t have. Ordered the spring greens and kale salad. I’ve seen a better plate of salad and it’s not a hard this to make. Gone in only a few bites and I had trouble locating the kale(if there was any) on my plate. German pretzel was very hard and flavorless except for the very salty«beer cheese». Disappointed with a place that just opened and promises a «world of beers»

I was really excited to try World of Beer — but when I arrived, I was surprised to find out that the restaurant is seat yourself/first come, first serve. Also, a band seemed to be setting up outside which would’ve brought even more noise into the restaurant. After not being able to find a seat for 4, I ended up walking over to BJ’s Brewhouse across the street. Hopefully one day I will return to World of Beer when it is less crowded and noisy so I can try their selection of beer and food.

I’ve been here twice now for happy hour, and it’s a pretty solid option. Worth mentioning from the beginning: parking can be frustrating in this part of Towson. The movie theater has a garage nearby– even with validation it’s still $ 2. We were lucky enough to get street parking after driving around a bit, which was free after 6pm. However, I think because this restaurant is so new, it’s fairly easy to find a place for a group of people to sit during happy hour time– so that’s a plus! The happy hour prices are not the best I’ve seen, but there’s a good selection. $ 4 select drafts, $ 5 select apps, and even a choice of $ 6 mixed drinks. I ordered the beer battered shrimp tacos– and wow! I was pleasantly surprised with them, quite tasty! Our party also had the bbq chicken flatbread, cheesy tater tots, and fried pickles… everyone seemed pretty happy with the food and drinks! To top it off, I was impressed by the staff, they were really quite excellent. They let us choose a table and told us that if we wound up with more people, it wasn’t a problem to pull up more chairs. Our waitress was friendly and prompt, completely on top of her game. Definitely somewhere I’ll be returning to, just not sure I’ll venture back near the mall until after the holiday traffic/crowd dies down and parking is easier to find!

Great selection of beers at great prices. Couldn’t try the food because we arrived 10:20pm and the kitchen closed at 10:30pm so they didn’t take our order(just wanted a huge pretzel)! Looked great from what was still coming out if the kitchen around 11pm… Staff was friendly and décor was cool.

Outstanding selection of beers on tap and draught. I had to frown at the table next to me, drinking But Light while there were about 1000 other beers far superior available! But I guess that just means that WOB is accepting of beer lovers of all shapes and sizes(and palates). We stopped in for beers and a giant pretzel(and i mean giant) on a Saturday night. The place was packed as expected, but it was just so, so loud. I’m not an old geezer by any means, but it’s nice to be able to actually hear what your s/o is saying! We actually left because it was so loud; yes, there was live music, but no, I didn’t want to have to scream and repeatedly«What??!» the bf all night.

I went because I have some time to kill before a movie, they have a huge selection of beers and a great menu. It’s not huge or very very diverse but everything on it looks tasty and the things I had tasted great. Service was great I had three waiters ask me about sitting at a table, and when I did service was phenomenal. I will be back there one day.

Left because the bartender was too busy talking to friends to wait on us. Not very crowded at all– maybe a dozen people at the bar including us. Bartender gave us menus, walked away and we sat for 15 minutes at the bar while four bartenders walked around, talked to each other and never came back to ask us what we wanted. Perhaps I’ll give them another chance when they’ve been open for a little longer, and have time to learn some customer service skills.

Seemed like a great place being very new. Walked into the bar to watch a game and grab a bite. Overall experience? The bright lights and smell of stale beer hit us within steps past the front door. Maybe a handful of customers. The bar was sticky. Bartender picked up an signed check in front of us and walked away. No greetings. No service. 15 minutes passed. 5 minutes later… we were across the street at BJ’s sitting at the bar with beers in hand and game of choice.

So, I have heard all the ranting and raving about this place opening up, so naturally I decided to stop by with some friends to try some of the ridiculous amount of beers they offer and a few light snacks! I understand this place just recently opened but I was a little shocked by the customer service. We had a very young server who really didn’t know much about the beers at all. I was honestly shocked! I ordered the«Jaoko» by flying dog and the server had no idea what I ordered! I asked her about the beer and her response to me was? It’s a Halloween beer it tastes like Halloween! So I laughed it off and moved on with the night. For our next round of beers I asked her about the«not your grandfathers root beer» once again she had no idea what that was either! When I ordered it she asked me if I wanted the alcoholic version or the non alcoholic version! I was dumbfounded! For our final round I ordered the banana bread beer and I didn’t even bother to ask her opinion this time! I just asked for it and drank it… Our server was very slow, not personable at all, and I am sorry that is not something I expect from a late night bar type of establishment! Even though the service left my entire party wanting more we decided to give this place another shot! This is where it gets ridiculous! When we arrived the second time we found out that the restaurant changed its hours of operation and wasn’t even open when we arrived! For being new and coming into an area where everything is fresh and new you would think they had their act together a little more! Especially since they have a bonefish directly next door! I can honestly say I’d rather give up the wide range of beer selections and go next door for phenomenal service and great alcohol beverages… I don’t think I will return to this location at this point anymore :(

This place is a definitely a really good and new«Go to» place, especially if you’re a beer drinker. They have at least a thousand different types of beers to choose from. That’s literally no exaggeration. I know this might seem over whelming but they have an iPad that can filter the beer choices based on anything from style to alcohol content. This is also easily available on your phone by downloading the app. In addition the staff are very knowledgable on their products. But don’t panic if you are a not a beer drinker they do have wine and cocktails! The atmosphere is very relaxed. They have live music but it’s not overwhelmingly loud, compared to other places where you have to literally shout to the person standing next to you. Here you can easily have a conversation someone while the music is playing. The also do have TVs to watch your favorite sporting events. My only advice is get there a little early before a big game that draws a crowd. The food is very good! It’s typical bar food but has its own unique twist on it. The food is very reasonable priced. They also have a «Beerunch» that has a very delicious menu as well. They even have something called a «Beermosa» which is fantastic and a local favorite. This place is the only place in Towson to my knowledge that offers brunch on Saturdays as well as Sundays. I am not aware of any place that offers brunch on Saturdays in Towson As far as cleanliness goes? The bathrooms are kept very clean so far! Which for me being a female, if a bar has a clean bathroom, it says a lot about the bar.

This review comes from a non-drinker, so honestly, I can’t tell you how the beer is here. But I can tell you how the food is as well as the atmosphere and dining experience. Came in for a late lunch, the atmosphere looks like any bar but will a much classier touch to it. Lots of seating both at the bar, seating around it and even some booths. We sat in a nice sized, comfortable booth. Service was not a problem at all, in fact it was spectacular. We were not questioned for only wanting soda and water. Refills were offered before we were even completely done with our drinks. Our waitress was so incredibly friendly and got us anything we wanted in a heartbeat. She would even notice what we needed from across the room without even trying to get her attention. The food was a great deal. And very tasty. Got the bratwurst pretzel sliders and for only 7 dollars you get a heap of great tasting food. 4 small sliders with onions and mustard and a pile of tater tots on the side. Hopefully all the dishes are this good, but the prices are great overall and this is a great place to hang with friends for good bar food and your choice of hundreds of beers. We hope to get our same waitress again, She was so amazing we gave her a big tip even though the tab was a little over 7 dollars. Keep up the great work WOB Towson, We will be back for more of your great food! One suggestion, For us non drinkers try to get a few more sodas to choose from. Thanks!
