After researching ATV repair shops on Unilocal(all in East bay have bad reviews) I decided to try After Hours. The short(20 mile) drive from Livermore was well worth it. The service was great. The attention to detail was the same or better than if I had done the work myself. I am very happy with the results.

I brought my recently purchased(used) Harley FXDL here to get new Progressive shocks installed. They also gave it a tune up and drained/replaced all fluids. All in all I’m pleased. Dominick showed up while my FXDL was being worked on and he’s cool. Seems very knowledgeable about motorcycles and caught some things that unfortunately the H-D dealer I bought from did not see or even do. Al did a good job(cool guy too) and they both gave me some ideas and pointers since I’m a new rider. This will definitely be my go to shop and never again to the H-D dealer. AHP is cheaper than the dealer but they pay more attention to detail and use better parts(vs stock I think). Much more honest than the dealer since I already had a slight bad experience with them(H-D dealer). They also provide pickup and delivery for a nominal fee if you don’t have time to ride there or stick around. Also, the place was a little hard to find since they just moved to a new location near Chrisman road &11th St. They didn’t have signs up yet but they’re located at the very end in corner of the inside parking lot towards the left when you enter the street(there’s other businesses there too). I’ll be back to get my front suspension done and some other work in the future. If you live in Tracy it’s worth checking them out!

Dominick and his team run an outstanding full service motorcycle shop, capable of dealing with everything from regular maintenance to complete rebuilds. After paying top dollar to one of the most recommended HD engine builder/tuners in the country to harden, install and tune a 120R motor in my FLHTCUI, I was skeptical that AHP could make significant improvements, but they did. The rear wheel is now showing a very respectable 132 square, naturally aspirated, at 0.98SAE(always, always check and divide by the SAE correction factor — lots of tuners fudge here to get better numbers). The big dog is now smooth and instantly responsive at all rpms and throttle positions, plus it runs cooler in the Valley heat with no loss in fuel economy compared to before. That speaks not only to the talent that Dominick and Albert bring to the table, but their dedication to getting it right, even if it takes a little longer than a «famous» tuner might be willing to put in. After being impressed by their tuning ability I asked AHP to rebuild my front end. They installed new brake bits and Racetech Gold Valve Emulators, plus a few chrome farkles, all for a very reasonable price. Their recommendation of Racetech suspension on a heavy bike had me a little skeptical at first, but man, what an improvement! Even my buddies with Progressive front ends agree — huge win, with good steering feel and excellent damping/rebound even on those huge«surprise» potholes on the Sunol grade. Most importantly, virtually no fork dive under heavy emergency braking; everything stays under control as I take the front wheel up to the edge of lockup, and no bagger wobble under 90 mph, even on those off-camber sweepers going up the peninsula on 280 that used to make me back off the throttle. Excellent recommendation and setup work, AHP! They’ll work fast if you want fast, pick up and deliver your bike at for a price you could barely touch with your own truck, check things for free you didn’t ask them to check just to make sure, and let you know if there are things going on that are ok for now, but will need to be dealt with down the road. They’re a small shop with a personal touch; not at all like the wrench-and-run highly-computerized setups so common these days. They are a little out of the way on the south end of Tracy, and a little hard to find the first time you go to their shop(ask for directions) out in the middle of a huge walnut orchard, but well worth the trip if you are within driving distance and looking for a highly skilled team that will work with you. I encourage you to visit them at their shop or at their mobile Dyno trailer at pretty much any decent sized motorcycle event in the Bay Area(see their facebook page for calendar)!
