Chili’s has gone downhill from what I remember. We sat at the bar, bartender was nice but her service was lacking. We ordered a couple appetizers which came out … When we finished eating the dished where stacked in front of me, they say there for 10 – 15 minutes… Bartender asked if we wanted another beer, served us and went back to other stuff dishes still sitting in front of me … I finally ask a waitress that had come up to bar for drink order if she could take them, without a blink she said no problem and took them. Food… This was was the biggest disappointment … Salsa served with chips was like tomato juice, Chip where over salty — clumps of salt on them. I ordered a trio with a tostada, taco and enchilada. As picture shows it was sloppy thrown together. Tostada had to be eaten with fork cause the tortilla was so soggy, flour tortilla on taco soggy that when picked up it split in half, enchilada ok very bland … The rice was best thing on plate. Upside this was first time seeing the new little computers. We didn’t do ordering or pay from it but it’s great to be play games while waiting.

Service is too slow. And the server kept forgetting the order. We had to remind him that we were waiting for a drink or food. And it was NOT on weekend. It was a weekday and restaurant was almost empty I ordered enchiladas. Enchiladas tasted good. ‘FRESH’ guacamole doesn’t tasted good and chips were too oily n stale.

Terrible service… waitress walked by my party 3 times and still did not say a thing to us to help us get seated.

First time coming here after a year or so and had a really bad experience. They need to either train the staff on better improving their customer service or hiring a new staff completely. Came here with a few girlfriends of mine for lunch and we were surprised at the terrible service we received. After we sat down and our server introduced herself, it took her literally 25 – 30 mins to come back to us and order our drinks– and by then we already knew what we wanted to order. And mind you, the place is empty, it’s not even packed so I have no idea where she ran off to after introducing herself. So we order and we all ordered a soup and/or salad to start off with. So we are waiting– 15 minutes pass by, and then 20 minutes, and then 30 and still no soup or salad. After half an hr, our server comes by with our actual entrée and still no soup or salad, so I kindly tell her to remove those items off our tab and to not even bother bringing them out and she had the nerve to be like, «oh, well you already ordered them so I might as well bring it out» with so much attitude too. And with just as much attitude I told her, «No, the point of our soup and salad was to eat it before our actual food came out», and she just walked away. So after eating, our server was nowhere to be found, we had to flag another waitress and have her bring us our check, and even that waitress was giving us attitude when we asked her. I mean clearly she wasn’t trying to help us and seemed very bothered about it when we asked –the place is still very dead, only a few other people seated so it’s not like the staff is stressed out from a busy day for one of them to keep disappearing and others having attitude problems Will not be coming back to this particular chilies sadly, I’ve had better experiences at other locations but the staff here just need to get it together and learn how to do their job correctly

My family and I are 50⁄50 on dining in and ordering carryout. This time, we opted to order carryout. My sister and her husband opted to go with their usual. For her, it was one of the quesadillas, and for him one of the enchiladas. I tend to alternate between enchiladas, nachos, and a burger. this time I decided to try something different. I decided to try the loaded baked potato soup(yum!) and the 6 oz. Classic Sirloin with Grilled Avocado. My dish SMELLED amazing. It’s really hard to go wrong with garlic or tomatoes. The combination verges on perfection. It tasted pretty good too. The streak was cooked to rare perfection, exactly as ordered. It was also the perfect size. I ate ½ then and had some for my breakfast omelet the next day. The veggies tasted as good as they looked(and smelled). My soup, which was packaged in a very thoughtful way for easy reheating, was delicious. The combo of potato, bacon, and green onion was homey and delicious. At the rate they disappeared, the enchilada and quesadilla were both equally good. Service at the window was good. the food was being packaged when I arrived, so the wait was short. We still needed to zap things at home to get the right temperature, but that’s a small price to pay for the convenience. Chili’s gets packed on weekends, so carryout can be a good option if you aren’t in a? let’s hang out with a lot of people in a boisterous atmosphere” kind of mood.

While the food quality is essentially the same as every other Chili’s, the experience is not. Overall, it seems as though many of the servers are not well trained, or just don’t care, especially in cocktail where you would expect the more experienced servers to be due to the high table turnover. Servers here are very inattentive, and wait times for everything, i.e. to be greeted, drinks, refills, and food, are very long. Just today our server came by the table twice while my water cup was bone dry, then it took another 2 visits before it was filled. She blamed this on «everyone coming in at once,» even though the restaurant was not at all busy. Top off a sub-par staff with managers that simply do not care about their customers, and you’re asking for trouble. The only thing going for Chili’s at this point is their prices and the fact that I get decent coupons for them often.

OK where should I start. I must say as in years gone on Chili’s has gone downhill each year. I guess I can be very critical because I work for Chili’s back in 1986 in Milpitas Ca. During that time, The quality of service and food was exceptionally outstanding. Today for me was the last straw. First, I ordered buffalo wings. The buffalo wings were very very vinegary, they were Burnt, and they had a funny taste. The ranch dressing for dipping was watery, and when I dipped my buffalo wing in the dipping sauce(Ranch dressing), came a piece of lettuce. I don’t know about you, but it appears that they are recycling the ranch dressing. I ordered their new bean & cheese dip(queso). The dip was dark brown and it tasted burnt. The only thing that I can also say was worth the wait was ice cold glass of water! Tracy Ca, Chili’s needs new management and quality control in place. Hit me up on Facebook Chili’s if you need some help!

We go here regularly, and haven’t had a bit of trouble with the service. Staff has taken our orders and food arrived in a reasonable time. Food is decent.

How can this chili’s be empty at 6pm I wondered and then it was answered 1. Bitchy bandana wearing bartender with attitude after kindly asking if she could change one of the TVs to the Mets Cubs game which was already in the second inning. Why would I even have to ask you have 8 TVs and not a single one on playoff baseball is a big wtf dummy 2. Happy hours wings = cold and dry 3. Texas cheese fries = cold and soggy 4. Not a manager in site, get your S together and get crackin not hiding out somewhere text messaging 5. 2 bacon cheeseburgers 30 mins to come out in a empty restaurant Positives Moved to a table beer was cold Great waitress(short black girl really nice and attentive)

Went here for dinner after being broke down on the road for 3 hours prior, so I was hungry and irritable. Turns out their deep fryer was broken, so no fries, chicken strips/nuggets, chips, etc, etc, etc. Luckily the waiter was super cool and said he completely understood if we wanted to go somewhere else. Which we did, but we were informed by an employee there that the fryer had broke down earlier in the day and that they wouldnt have someone out til Monday to fix it. Really? Dont places like this have service people on call to fix essential items like this? Come on Chili’s, get it together!

I find myself at Chili’s more often than I would imagine. I just love the menu and what it has to offer! Their chicken fajitas are so tasteful and appetizing. I usually lean towards fajitas when I’m out and about and I’ve never been more satisfied with fajitas than I have been at Chili’s. Their sides for this particular entrée are so adding to the meal. I can go on and on about the menu but I must add, try their Chocolate Molten it’s pleasing!

We visited this Chili’s right after moving to Tracy and regretted it. First, we already have a low opinion of Chili’s and this visit confirmed why. The food was just really average. Nothing memorable. But the real issue was the service. Our waitress may have been new, but she consistently forgot parts of our order or got things wrong, even after we brought it to her attention. Also, the wait for our food was excessive. The place wasn’t very busy and a table next to us that was seated after us, got their food awhile before us. Our guess was that our waitress forgot to put in our order. She obviously knew that she was screwing up, but rather than just telling us, or letting us know when we’d get our food, or offering some type of compensation, she just ignored us. So we were left to get hangry. My advice — avoid Chili’s if you can help it.

Service was bad. Food was okay. My family & I ordered our food & our waiter wrote nothing down which caused her to forget certain details of what we wanted & did not want & so two of our orders were messed up. She was being a bit of a know it all with what we ordered, too. Like girl do you know what my taste buds crave? Overall too many things were either forgotten or messed up. First & last time here.

So this is Chilli’s. Theoretically the same experience as Chili’s all across the USA, but I’ve had generally sub-par service at the Tracy location — namely long, long waits for the server to take the order, bring food, etc. This is with three young kids. Generally speaking Chili’s is kid-friendly, but long, long waits are not kid-friendly. I recall one time after it took like an hour to get our food(and nothing complicated by the way) the server offered to comp us with free dessert. Like just want I want, is to extend our stay even further past the kids’ bedtime, with some extra sugar, when they’re already cranky and whiny because they’ve been sitting for an hour waiting for a corn dog or boxed mac-n-cheese or whatever. At this point, if I’m going to go to Chili’s I go to the Livermore location. Never had poor service there. Now on to Chili’s food in general. When I was younger, I used to like Chili’s quite well. Then it seemed like they tinkered with their menu, and one by one the things I used to like, disappeared. Would you believe they used to have a grilled tuna steak entrée? No more. The classic chicken tacos? Replaced by some much less enjoyable tacos. They even removed the ‘classic’ nachos at one point, in favor of the ‘kickin’ jack’ nachos. Well the jack must not have kicked because they brought back the classic nachos. But the larger issue is that, well, I’m not in my 20s anymore, and I don’t necessarily want all my food dripping with cheese. And that’s ultimately what Chili’s is — a cheese delivery vehicle. And it doesn’t work so well if you(or a family member) is lactose intolerant. The menu items without cheese are kind of blah anyway.

This is one of Chili’s new restaurants with a contemporary look and feel. No tchotchke here. We’ve gotten over the alien feel of the touchscreen computer on the table and now see it as part of the experience instead of a gimmick. It seems to work and I like paying at the table when I’m ready. On this visit, I was disappointed that our waitress failed to sing happy birthday to our three-year-old daughter on her birthday. Why do you think we came to Chili’s? If someone is there and they say it’s a family member’s birthday, do you think we came in for a description of how busy the waitstaff is? Amusingly the drawn out excuse and faux regret took as long as the song itself would have. My two star rating is solely retribution for my daughter’s disappointment — this is otherwise a three-star establishment.

Food is always on point and the service is always good. Last night we ordered food to go and it was awesome. Service was speedy and the worker behind the counter was great, he made sure the order what correct and helped me out to the car with my food. I wanted to add that the restaurant now has a machine where you can pay your bill at the table, you no longer need to wait for the server to bring the check. I highly recommend the ranch buffalo burger. It is very yummy!

I mostly go here for happy hour cause their margaritas are too good! Usually go with the chips and salsa for an appetizer than the shrimp fajitas. Sometimes the bar area though not great service

Chilis is going downhill fast. We ordered takeout last night and it was horrible. The girl that took the order was rude, the order was wrong. my husband’s corn on the cob was cold. They’ve made menu changes that don’t work. It’s the last time I’m eating at Chili’s.

Last night, Mr. B. and I decided to catch the end of the Basketball game and grab our traditional spread of nachos from Chili’s. Due to the fact that the Pro Bowl was on, the place was quite dead. Thus, we didn’t expect to be there long. We immediately found a clean table in the bar area and were greeted by a waitress. No need to check out the menu, we order: — 2 waters — 1 classic 8 pc nacho with chicken with extra sour cream and pico de gallo — 1 classic 8 pc nacho no meat with extra sour cream and pico Simple enough right? Waters come out and 15 mins later out come the chicken nachos. We asked the food-runner to bring out the extras along with advising that there was another meatless order of nachos. Out come the extra, no 2nd plate of nachos. We waited a few minutes and summonsed the same food-runner to check on those nachos. At this point, Mr. B. was 1 chip away from being done eating, while I sat there envious of melted queso on warm chips. Not wanting to cause a scene, I sat patiently, quietly, and anxious. Almost at my breaking point, Mr. B. politely asks for the manager. The manager arrives and we explain the situation. He apologizes and confirms that he is aware and the nachos are coming out. Additionally, he says that he will comp the 2nd order due to the mishap. 10 mins have passed since he left, I’m still nacho-less. When the plate finally arrives I commence to eating, and quickly because now I’m ready to go. With the new gadget to pay/order from the table, I ask Mr. B. to check the bill situation to see what we were working with. I immediately see 2 waters, 2 nachos and 2 sides of sour cream. $.80 for a side of sour cream though?! Still noticing the 2nd plate, we summons a different waiter who immediately works to fix the bill. A few moments and $ 6.28 later, we blow the joint! Not one time did the waitress who took our order come over to check on us. Not once did anyone ask us if everything was ok or if we needed anything. Cleanliness: 4 stars; people were cleaning constantly Service: 0 stars for waitress/3 for manager(hat’s off to him, but my overall experience is based on that of waitress/food runners) Food: 2 stars Price: 4 stars(whether I paid for one or two plates of nachos, the price was more than acceptable. I would’ve given 5 stars, but I don’t feel its right to charge for a condiment already on my plate. I’m an adult and would prefer an appropriate adult portion vs. child-size).

Chili’s is what I call our ”fail safe” and that is when Hubby and I want to go out for Dinner yet can’t decide where to go we often end up here. That’s not a bad thing, the food and service is actually very decent and the menu is varied enough that if I still want something relatively healthy(Mango Chile Chicken) while Hubby wants something completely different(Taco’s or Rib’s) it’s possible. The recent refit is a huge improvement on it’s previous state, gone are those nasty mosaic tile table tops and in it’s place are nice modern wooden ones. Everything seems open, bright and more importantly clean. I don’t know if it’s just that the cooks here are better or there has been a change in standards but compared to another Chili’s we used to frequent while living in San Mateo the food here is better. Happy hour in the bar is worth checking out(3−7pm Mon-Fri, 9-close Mon-Thurs and all day Sunday) with free Chips & Salsa. *TIP* Sign up for the email club and get coupons for free Appetizer or Dessert every week along with a free Brownie Sundae for your Birthday.
