Dog Training with Alysia

My 1 year old German Shepherd, Tango and I just started our training with Alysia. She’s an excellent trainer, that’s the first thing I would have to say about her services. She’s very knowledgable and understandable about your daily life. I work 9 hours days during the weeks, so she’s flexible enough to meet with Tango and I anytime on the weekends. I started with asking her a million questions and «what ifs,» she was able to answer them all. Her services are VERY inexpensive compared to other trainers or corporations. Alysia made me realize how easy it is to train a dog and that’s the main reason why I’ve procrastinated on getting Tango started with a trainer. Her cues are not complex at all, which results in Tango picking up her new cues very quickly. Alysia’s training focuses on a positive dog training method instead of a negative one. Tango does the things I ask of him now because he appreciates me, not because he’s afraid of me. This has brought Tango’s and my bond closer and it even shows with his daily behavior. Tango used to have a really bad pulling habit while walking on the leash. We first tried the choker chain, the the all over body harness and then went to using the nasty prong collar. None of these collars were working for his pulling habit. Alysia introduced us to the gentle leader, which is a way more positive method of controlling his pulling habit. He’s caught on to the gentle leader quickly and his pulling has reduced enormously. We still have a few sessions left with Alysia, but overall, I am EXTREMELY happy to have met her and decide to use her services for training my Sheppy. I would definitely refer any other dog momma or dad looking for help with training their fur baby, to her.
