Phoned in my order, as I always do and found that the same order would cost a dollar more. The thing that raise my rate was a .21 cent egg and a ungrateful owner that doesn’t value a repeat customer. ii could understand a buck if they were remodeling the place, but it’s still the same DIRTY hole in wall as its always been. If it’s a buck more you want try cleaning the very visible dust especially on the Chinese cats above your head, clean your shitty carpet and try updating your kitchen.

This is a review for the food and service … my boyfriend order kung pao chicken which as everyone knows it is a spicy dish! Now I ordered almond chicken .so when we get our food I picked it up went home and noticed they gave us both kung pao chicken combination plates ok whatever I was hungry I ate mine. But my boyfriend was disappointed that the kung pao chicken was not spicy it had no spicy to it at all… so he went back to the store we talked to the owner and white girl at the front they BOTH say kung pao is not spicy and he didnt add it because most people around tracy don’t like it. wtf I ordered kung pao chicken I want spicy that’s what it is! And he had nerve to tell my boyfriend he should have told him to have it spicy! Wth is wrong with the owner. kung pao is a spicy meal look it up ! Him and the white girl need to get up to code and get a reality check ! Get your meals and orders right !!!

We love this place! It’s so awesome. Food is always super fresh and tastes amazing. Its takes a while to get your food, pick up or delivery but it’s because everything is made to order, well worth the wait. My only complaint is their hours suck! They really need to extend their hours.

This place just never disappoints! We don’t vary from the same 5 items but after 10 years of going there it’s always been good. Sesame Chicken is by far my favorite! They could use a remodel for sure but we take it home.

Best Chinese food in Tracy. Sweet old Chinese couple owns it. Love the pot stickers, crab cheese, chow mien, & won ton soup. Everything’s hand made by the owner. Great mom and pop joint that I highly support.

I love this place. Anytime I want to go out and treat myself this is the place. In my opinion it has the best chow mein in town. I always go with a friend or a few and order the Prince Dinner for 2 and it’s enough for about 3 people. The egg rolls are always scorching hot, which means they are fresh. Sweet and Sour pork can be hit or miss. And I don’t recommend the fried rice just because it’s a bit bland. But anyway the ambience is a bit slow but it’s good if you are trying to go on a date, you guys will most likely be left alone for long periods of time besides when they check in on you. Fortune cookies are bland too but whatever I just want the fortune!

My husband and I recently moved to Tracy from Fremont. We wanted a good Chinese food restaurant in Tracy. After reading Unilocal reviews and other rated listings online we tried Manderin Villa but found the food bland. We decided to try Golden Eagle because of the ratings on Unilocal. On the way to eat there we got sidetracked and wound up at the Orient Express a block away. It’s a small place but the help was very nice. My husband had asked if they could substitute shrimp for chicken in their Bok Choi and Chicken dish. «No problem» they said. I had the Pork Fried Rice andPork Chow Mein which I asked to have«no veggies». Once again it was no problem. I also had their sesame chicken. My husband said it was the BEST Bok Choi he had ever had. My food was delicious also. We actually went back for seconds the next day. Today we decided to try Golden Eagle for lunch as the other is open only for dinner. What a disappointment. They don’t even have Bok Choi and when I asked for pork fried rice and pork chow Mein with no veggies I was told those are pre made! No substitutions. I wound up with steamed rice and lemon chicken. Both just okay. My husband had their pork fried rice, chow Mein and spicy chicken. He said it was good but not close to the flavor of Orient Express. Bottom line we won’t be going back to Golden Eagle. It wasn’t bad but definitely was not as good as Orient Express.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant well over ten times. Usually they’re solid and accommodating. Tonight I called over a half hour before they were scheduled to be closed. The initial phone response was«Orient Express; we’re closed». Not cool

My friends ordered delivery from this place, it came in a very reasonable amount of time, I think it came faster than the 45min delivery estimate! They didn’t have sesame prawns on the menu, but they made them for us by request, and they also made spicy string beans for us as well. Then we ordered lemon chicken, veggie fried rice, broccoli beef, pot stickers, chicken chow mein & Mongolian beef. All of which I heard tasted really good, the prawns, beans & fried rice that I ate were good. It’s nice that they deliver kinda late on a Sunday!

Have been coming to Orient Express for about 5 years now. After trying most of the Chinese food in Tracy, this is now the only one I go to. We dine in when dropping our daughter off for dance class at the grand theater next door, or carry out. Building and décor are old as most stuff in downtown Tracy is, and there’s not an abundance of parking. The staff is excellent though and very friendly. Beef fried rice, chicken chow mein, sesame chicken, and almond chicken are our go-to choices. All are delicious and served in good size portions. I only wish their coupons that come in the mail were a little more appealing.

Based on my one experience, I think the reviews are a bit misleading. I found the food, just ok. House chow mein was bland, mushy and the tiny beige bay shrimp were unappealing. Mongolian beef had a soft texture and there we’re no peppers in it, therefore not spicy at all. The mu shu pork was good, but the pancakes are just uncooked egg roll wrappers… kind of lazy. Silver wrap chicken was good, but my husband thought it lacked flavor. Service is slow but nice.

Best in tracy. Most of the food I’ve tried is pretty good. Not to expensive. I have tried other Chinese spots and others aren’t as tasteful. Good customer service!

I have order food for over 2 years now. I love the Egg Foo Young skip the sauce. Orange Chicken is really good too. Chow Mein was good. But the last time I order I tried Chicken Chow Fun, MMM. But the Honey Walnut Prawns, Oh my goodness. I could eat that all by myself. Love the little pineapple in it too. I just wish they would clean the lights and the statues, please call Merry Maids.

This review has nothing to do with the food quality. It has to do with service. You know the old saying, «Make a customer happy and he may tell one person. Make a customer angry, and he’ll tell 100 people. I ordered my food at 5:20pm(cell phone log) and was told it was 30 – 40 minutes for pick up orders. I arrived at the 30 minute mark and was told 10 mins. No problem. So, I paid and sat down. Soon, the 3 people there in front of me were served their food. While waiting 3 more people came in to pick up their order. 20 minutes later, those three people were out the door with their food and I hear the front counter girl go into the back and say my name and I hear her ask where it is. Don’t hear response and get concerned. 15 minutes more after telling me it was coming, the food finally arrives after 60 minutes. Was not happy at all but they did not seem to care. Just a warning to order it way in advance so you won’t be disappointed.

The teenagers that answer the phone are rude and disrespectful, I will never order from there again. I will take my hard earned money to a business that appreciates their patrons. Golden Eagle down the street works for me.

It’s a small little whole in the wall place but the food is good! The waitress is always very friendly and service is good. Also the portions are very generous. Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Tracy! I recommend you try it before you judge!

There are NO excuses for my actions. I bookmarked Orient Express three years ago to try and it wasn’t until this past week that I made good on my promise. A local buddy told me I needed to get off my duff and try the Chow Mein here. He swore it was the best not only the best in town but, the best he’s ever had. So, with that challenge, I knew I had to go and try this place out. After arriving and circling the block a few times for a place to park, I finally made my way inside At the counter, I was promptly greeted by a smile and a «good evening» by a nice and cute young lady working the register. I looked over their menu for a few moments and decided to go with two types of chow mein, shrimp fried rice and lastly, salt & pepper string beans(spicy of course). After ringing up my order, the young lady told that since I had gone over $ 20 dollars, an appetizer of chicken wings were being thrown in at no cost. Sweet! The order was up within fifteen minutes and I headed home to sample and share my food with my unofficial Unilocal son Dave. Everything I tried was good but, the chow mein was unusually different, in a good way. It’s really difficult to explain the taste or flavors. It had this kind of bitter sweetness that made it very delicious. When I asked my son what he thought. He dropped his fork in the chow mein container. Let out this huge sigh of either relief or defeat and with his head bowed, he slowly turned towards me and mumbled the lethargic words; «that’s the best chow mein ever Dad.» Wow! Definitely a grand slam.

Updating my review… I don’t know what it is but I no longer enjoy their food. We ordered two plates($ 16) both chow main one with orange chicken and one with sweet and sour pork. The noodles were pretty good but the orange chicken was hard and dissatisfying along with the sweet and sour pork comes in some weird shape plain and you get sauce to pour on them… those were just pretty horrendous I hate to be so cruel but I would have settled for Panda. Service is okay pick up was at 2:45 but it wasn’t ready until almost 3pm. Thanks for the mediocre cookie but no thanks.
