Best Tempranillo ever! So yummy! Did not hit this winery up yet but had the privilege of tasting at a local event and could not have been more surprised! Everyone at the booth was amazing and the wine was just what I’d been looking for! As a wine snob in the industry in the Napa Valley I can definitely attest to the amazing reds they had to over! Great experience! Great wine!

As we approached the front door, there was a sleepy dog that raised its head, as if to say«what’s up?» and we entered. No one was in the tasting room. so we just kind of wandered around till I peeped a bell. *ring-a-ling* … In comes Ramon. owner, winemaker. cool guy with stories to tell and hella wine to pour. We stopped him at about bottle #10 because we were getting wasted and this was the first stop of the day. plus it was like noon! Left kinda drunk with 2 more wineries to go. Thanks for the hearty head start Ramon! If I’m ever in Tracy again for some godforsaken reason, I’d definitely stop back in.

Now that was some good wine! Since my sister and my parents moved to Tracy a few years back I kept driving past this winery’s sign and their neighbors sign every time I venture to Tracy. So we finally stopped to check out this place and I found the wines to be excellent! There might have been a couple that I wasn’t as interested in but all in all I was impressed and everyone’s palate is different anyways… Well like any winery they’ll start you out with some whites. I myself am not a white wine drinker but the chardonnay was excellent, in fact we bought a bottle and also a bottle of the Majenas 2008. Although truly it was kind of a tossup with the reds because they were very nice. I also like the Cabernet but didn’t buy a bottle this time. The atmosphere was nice, good customers and Ramon did a great job hosting everybody there. This place is pretty chill. The front of the grounds where well kept and looked a bit like a Spanish casa with some seating outside. Didn’t get a chance to see the winery but maybe next time. And I might add, I’m glad I can support a Tracy grower and support the Central Valley land. Also on a side note, not that I can recommend anything in particular since I don’t know the area super good but Downtown Tracy is pretty cool. I would make it a day and check out this winery and maybe another and have lunch in downtown which is about 5miles away!

Great place and great wines. You can try up to 10 – 12 wines for $ 5 which they waived when you buy any bottle. The wine club offers are amazing(up to 40−50% discount when you buy by the case. I’m happy to support our local businesses. When my wife and I have visitors, we”l bring them over. Forget about the horrible traffic and overpriced Napa

Bought a Groupon for this location. Arrived on a Sunday, open according to their website. Came with my four girlfriends ready to buy some wine and have a good time. We had never tasted in Tracy so this was our first experience. Here’s how our visit went: Pulled up, no one in sight. Noticed a dog roaming around. Weird feeling by everyone. Looked around to see a home and junk everywhere. Reluctantly got out. Walked into what looks like a reception area. No one there. Another dog walked up. Looked at my girlfriends, «Lets get out of here.» A little girl walks up and stares at us. Us, «Hi.» Her. stares. Us, weird. Another kid walks up. stares. Us, «We guess you aren’t open?» Kid, «No.» Us. lets get out of here. Get in the car to drive away. Kids standing by our car staring. Roll down window to ask to move back so we can leave. More staring. See a guy working under his car and never once acknowledged us. Overall creepy weird and outright odd. Will not be returning.

Pretty good wines for the regionally grown grapes. Of the handful wineries in this town this is one you must visit if in the lookout for tasting. I personally enjoy their Barbera. All wines are reasonably priced. I suggest calling in advance to ensure tasting room is open. Cheers !

Ramon Rios Winery is a beautiful winery with an adorable boutique. The wine is great the people are friendly and I highly recommend the Ramon Rios winery for any type of gathering. I had my daughters wedding there and Debra Rios did a wonderful job. It was a lovely wedding and we had no worries thanks to Debra

Ramon Rios, Woodmill Ridge, and La Bonne Vie Cellars make up the Tracy Hills wineries and are lovely mom and pop establishments. It’s the Cinque Terre of the central valley(minus two). Ramon Rios is a GREAT deal-$ 5 to taste 12 wines. My favorite was the Ay Carajo because of the name/how the name came to be and the taste itself. The bread sticks, cheese, and chocolates were lovely as well. This is a much more affordable and accessible area for wine tasting than Napa & should definitely be tested if you are looking for something new to explore in the Bay Area.

WARNING: DONOTBOOK A SPECIALEVENTATTHISPLACE!!! It took 10 years after her wedding for my sister to finally have her wedding reception… a day that she dreamed about since she was a little girl. What should have been a beautiful and most memorable day for my sister, quickly turned into a nightmare thanks to the owner’s poor communication skills and deplorable business practices. Ramon needs to stay far away from guests, and stick to making wines, instead of drinking them into a drunken stupor… The reception started at 6pm with dinner being served. The band arrived early to set up at 5:30. From the time the band started to set up, Ramon started harassing and criticizing band members, and guests. I was shocked when he told one of the band members that the band could only play until 9pm outside. Since, they were scheduled to play from 8 – 11, that would have left me paying $ 500 for one hour of music! UNACCEPTABLE! We had a lovely trio that was to play during dinner, but since the band could now only play until 9, we had to cut the trio out to try to get some music out the band while we had the time. Ramon started in right away, complaining that neighbors didn’t like the loud music and told the drummer to hit the drums softer. Now, we did not have a heavy metal rock band here… we had a beautiful, classy salsa/soul band, and it was 7:30 on a Saturday evening. I was very upset since I was the one who paid $ 500 for the band to play for 3 hours, and now they could only play for 90 minutes AND we didn’t get to enjoy the trio playing while we had dinner. I don’t take kindly to people wasting my money, and upsetting my sister on her special day. They should have made this very clear to my sister when booking the event. To make things worse, when my sister checked the contract the following day, it said the band could have played until 10PM!!! Needless to say, my sister and her husband were extremely upset. These people are unbelievably disorganized, and should not be in this business. Furthermore, we were not able to set up the tables and decorate for the event the night before as discussed because the owners decided to go out to dinner, instead of wait for us to arrive to let us in to decorate. The whole group of us sat out in the parking lot, locked out of the venue trying to get a hold of the owners. They didn’t have the common courtesy to call to let us know their plans to go out for dinner, or leave the gate open for us to get in, despite the fact that we were scheduled to decorate the night before. Needless to say, nothing was done that night, and left to the day of the event. The FINALSTRAW… At approximately 10pm, as I was cleaning up and loading things into the car, my walking path was blocked my a drunk Ramon, who started screaming at me, «WE“REDONE!!!» At first I stood there speechless, wondering who in the hell is this wacko yelling at me, and then I let him have it. He was so incredibly rude, and being drunk is no excuse to treat paying customers in such a manner. He explained that he was pissed because he was having to repeat himself. So clearly, I wasn’t the first person he yelled out. This leaves me to assume that he just randomly goes around yelling at guests«WE’REDONE!» when he decides he wants everyone to go home. UNBELIEVEABLE!!! This place may serve good wine(I don’t know, as I didn’t taste it) but it is certainly NOT A PLACEYOUWANTTOHAVE A RECEPTION for a special event!!! Ramon single-handedly ruined my sister’s day that she had worked so hard to plan for several months and looked forward to and dreamt about for so many years. That’s unforgiveable. I am writing this review to prevent anyone else from having such a special day in their lives ruined by a man who has no manners, and no business sense. On a side note, his wife, Debra was very kind, helpful and apologetic for all the mishaps. She even told my sister not to pay for the small balanced still owed, but that certainly does not make up for the despicable behavior of her husband, that resulted in a rushed event, money wasted on a trio and band that were not fully utilized, and several frustrated and angry guests. My sister deserved better. My advice to the owners would be for Debra to lock her husband up in the cellar while she has events, so he doesn’t ruin anyone else’s special day.

Visited Ramon Rios Winery for the first time today and were pleasantly surprised to find such outstanding quality wines right here in Tracy. Ramon and Debra were both very friendly and knowledgable about the wines they pour. If you are looking for some good wine and friendly atmosphere, take a drive out to Ramon Rios and check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!

Ramon Rios Winery is a great boutique winery. The family atmosphere is felt the minute you walk and they welcome you. Debra and Ramon are great hosts. Ramon knows how to make great wine. The Tempranillo, Barbera, Majanes, and the Ay Carajo are all fantastic. They hold great events at the winery as well. I have attended birthday parties, weddings, showers, memorial services and even practiced yoga in the gardens. You need to stop by and try it for yourself!

Ramon & Debra are the greatest people! When you visit the winery, you are not only a customer but a friend too! We have been enjoying Ramon’s wine since 2008 and love his Tempranillo, Petit Syrah and Barbera. Really, all the wine is good. His port is great with chocolate! They have a lot of events in the Summer, with live music and great people. We hosted a few cigar dinners there and had a great response. If you are in Tracy or just curious, you won’t be disappointed! They also have a beautiful event space that you can rent, it’s decorated beautifully and has a great garden space overlooking the vines! You can also follow them on Facebook here:

Listen to me, if you want good solid wines, that are the rave of all of our wine friends then you wont go wrong with this winery. we have been going here for a while now, the people there are the real deal, they are a family that loves what they do, they are persuing the american dream and working it… Anyone that appreciates this should visit them and appreciate what they are doing here … Believe me we have done blind tastings on their wine and they have come out on top… These were blind tastings with 15 to 20 people, they have beat out 100 dollar bottle wine in those tastings. Try it you’ll like it…

Ramon and Debra are SUPER hosts !! We’ve attended some events, and had great fun. The wine, especially the Tempernillo and the Ay Carajo are becoming favorites of the Silicon Valley Wine crowd. Also, beside great wine. they also offer olive oil and honey that is produced right on their estate !!

Great local winery, Ramon and his wife are often the ones pouring the tastings. It’s great to discuss the wines with the people that make it start to finish themselves. It’s a small buiding with a very nice back patio for parties that look out over the vineyard. Been going here for a few years now. Very impressed with the Barbera and the Tempernillo. Very consistant.
