Steve Sim’s Almond Firewood

The wood is good — when you can get it. I have purchased from Steve Sims twice in the past couple of years. I would have bought more wood, every year, IF they had delivered when they said they would. It’s maddening to arrange to stay home from work or give up a weekend day to wait around to accept delivery, then have a no show with no call, no apology, and no reschedule date. They just don’t care, and you’re left sitting there at night with no new firewood at the end of delivery day.
This has happened twice; once two years ago and again today. Last month when I tried to arrange a date they didn’t respond until after the dates had passed. I will NEVER order from these people again.
If you want to use these guys, best not to give them your credit card number. So glad I didn’t. (I always pay cash on delivery.)
I will definitely buy wood (which I need for heat where I live) from someone who has better Unilocal ratings, more ethical practices, and a greater interest in customer satisfaction. And I will post a recommendation for that other company here on Unilocal when I find it.

Fantastic source of great firewood. Great quality almond, nice large logs with very few small branches which have been cured for 2 years. Burns great!!! Called in the order yesterday afternoon and he was here at 10 am. This is the second time I have order from Sims and I had a similar experience last time.
